Started one night on a long road trip. Easy to find, away from the highway, so quiet. Very clean and bright. Room was on the small side, but very well and thoughtful laid out; very functional. Beds were comfortable but not excellent. Room was immaculate, only a little dated and in need of a deep cleaning/maintenance in the lively shower... Just some mildew around the base, which considering the overall condition, is picky. Water was barely got enough, but I like it very hot. Shower pressure was ok. Electric outlets with USB power conveniently spaced in good locations. Good storage opportunities, and includes a small fridge. Would be nice if there were a microwave, but definitely not a deal killer. Breakfast was oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, coffee, juices, bread, bagels. Well laid out, stocked, and prepared. Will definitely recommend as a good place to stay for a fair price.

My wife and I had booked a stay for Sunday 11/21 and Monday 11/22. We arrived to find the facility wasn't very clean, dirty and garbage in a number of areas. The room itself was reasonably clean, except for in the bathroom it appeared that someone had spilled a liquid on the wall next to the shower and it hadn't been fully cleaned. The room was in the fourth floor, with the window above the lobby. Sunday's stay was ok, reasonably uneventful. Monday, we had been out in Roanoke and returned to the room about 5 P.M. There was very loud construction noise, drilling, hammering in close proximity to our room. We ignored the noise for about 45 minutes and then contacted the front desk. The person who answered the phone said that there had been three other complaints and security was going up to advise them to stop. The noise continued for an additional 45 minutes. During our entire stay, there were a number of children present in the lobby. By the appearance, they were children of a hotel employee. There was also a dog present on Monday afternoon/evening. The children made a great deal of noise, screaming, hollering and crying. This was happening up until right at 11 P.M. Tuesday morning at 7 A.M. the construction noise began again. Hammering, drilling and cutting of metal. This noise woke my wife and I up, and prevented us from sleeping. We gathered our things and went to check out. My wife spoke to who we believe was the person in charge to reiterate our problem with the noise. The woman that she spoke to initially lied and said that she wasn't aware that there was construction noise happening. In the next breath, she said that the were converting part of the hotel into an extended stay facility, she apologized, not seeming very sincere. We were not notified upon booking the room that there was construction happening, there were not any notices posted in the lobby and nothing was mentioned by the clerk at check in that there could be construction noise. A complete waste of money! We contacted the hotel and Holiday Inn Corporate with zero satisfaction. Stay away!

The facilities are slightly old, the service is good, the luggage is many, the room on the second floor was originally given, it is very convenient to change to the first floor, the breakfast is good, the next day to the airport, the hotel called the taxi, and cut the taxi fare.

My husband and I have stayed here many times and have been happy except this time. When we checked in the front desk was very friendly (Bailey check us in) we went to our room to get settled in, the next day is when everything was not ok. The problems we noticed was the lock on our door didn't work when you closed the door you could open the door by just pushing on it we went to the front desk and they said someone would come down and look at it. I was concerned because when housekeeping came in the the door would be left open, when I explained that to the person who came to check it out she told us that housekeeping doesn't come in everyday only when you check out if they are not going to come clean you room everyday then I think they should lower the price on the rooms, because breakfast is not like it was everything is pre package (I know because of COVID but I think some place are just using this as an excuse to not have things like they were). There was no one in the breakfast area making sure things were stocked there were no cups for juice when I asked the front desk she could find any and we had to use coffee cups. The clock in our room didn't work (the cord was broken in the back), no extra toilet paper was left, the was nothing in our rooms to tell us information about the hotel; pool hours, gym hours, breakfast hours, restaurants in the area. I said it before that we have stayed here before as my husband Dad lives in the area but I would rethink about staying her again. I also had trouble with my bill I called the hotel several times and left messages for Kim O'Connor and Alicia Austine nether one got back to me it was on my third call that Bailey at the front desk was the only one who helped me resolve the problem with my bill (they charge my credit card twice).

Please stay at this hotel!!! The staff here was PHENOMENAL!!! My entire trip I was catered to and made sure I was very well taken care of! The amenities are wonderful and I can’t recommend this hotel enough to anyone who will listen! They have a shuttle to and from the airport, the food is great! And the front desk staff always made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of! If you’re staying in Roanoke, this hotel is the best! And there’s a mall across the street!

Very nice hotel located in great area full of shopping malls resteraunts and movie theater, nice room.. best part was Ms. Brenda she was soo nice and a pleasure to talk with (I only wish I could have won a Jackpot at Rosie's to split with her, we joked about this) first time to Roanoke, and will not be last.
