Like proximity to beach, shops and restaurants.
Check in staff were nice.
Did not like they did not restock and clean room
They did not stop people from smoking. We had people smoking **** next to us the whole time. Could not sit on patio bc it stunk. Moisture with doors slamming and car alarms going off and patio furniture scraping late into the night. Beds not comfortable with gross Bally dirty blanket. Pool looked prison like, not enticing at all. It looked like where sea world keeps orcas when not performing. Awful! We noticed Pacific Terrace hotel had a super cute pool. That is how to do it. Dated hotel. Expensive for what we got. Pics look much nicer. Won’t stay again.

This is a nice 3-star property. It is a bit dated, and needs some paint touch-ups here and there. However, the room was large, and well appointed. The bathroom was good sized, and the shower was terrific. The bed was very comfortable, and the front desk staff was great. Free parking is also provided. Keep your expectations to 3-star, and go to the beach, or down the boardwalk... both of which are 1 minute away. Fabulous!

The room we booked smelled strongly of toilet and the facilities were all rather outdated, especially the ceiling fan whose leaves were almost falling off.

Parking is good and near the coast beach. Some front desk services are good other are not probably during holidays weekend. The place had some upgrade but not enough. They need more major remodel on wall too thin (very noisy), door scratches/wall need repaint, carpet replace to floor more clean, cabinet in restroom old, the towels look old (color kinda off-white/gray/yellowish), toilet made some water noise at night time to time, the pillows and bed mattress are not comfortable at all. I can’t sleep due to super soft pillows and mattress super sink down. I hope they’ll remodel this place soon. Location is a plus for this place if want to be near the coast beach.

I’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. Everything you need, including the beach is within walking distance.

Stayed here a couple of times and always enjoy our stay. Very close to the ocean and plenty of places to eat within a short walk

Very comfortable hotel with fantastic San Diego location. Room was excellent with plenty of outlets. The shower was excellent...very spacious. Plus, the bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower are clearly labeled so you don't need your glasses to see what you are getting! Fantastic self parking, very convenient.

Property is very close to the water. However, check out was awkward, as lobby door was locked and sign on door to go to another hotel a few blocks away to check out. I've stayed at this property many times, but now it gives off a different vibe. I feel it's under new ownership, staff and accommodations are subpar.

Great location. Good parking. Nice sea view on south rooms
Internet poor - often drops out or can’t connect
Hot water sometimes takes 10 minutes to run warm.
Room heating didn’t work.
But overall would stay here again if we visit SD again. Spent 13 nights so have balanced
