I chose this place for my family of 5 to stay on a 2night 3 day trip to Cedar Point and I am so happy with my decision! This place is home away from home! There were many different rooms to choose from. Something for everyone! I chose the 2 bed 1 bath with kitchen and sofa bed. It was very roomy and the A/C worked so well! Very clean! Parking right out front! And a huge gated pool with slides! My kids loved it here! Only 5 minutes to Cedar Point too! Big shout out to the staff too! They were all so friendly, warm and welcoming! The helpful gentlemen at the front desk, and of course Sandy and Betty! Oh also they have a complimentary breakfast in the mornings too! Such a nice little family owned hotel. I will for sure choose South Shore Inn on all my stays in Sandusky! Karen

I enjoyed my stay at this very fine hotel. The Marriott brand is my favorite because of the convenience and the amenities. This is a perfect family or couples hotel. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was an absolutely lovely weekend. With Cedar Point, Put-In-Bay being nearby, and the hotel being right on the water, with the most beautiful sunsets, I enjoyed our one-tank anniversary trip! My wife and I had a great stay at Country Inn & Suites, Port Clinton under the management of Shawna Cowger. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were friendly and engaging. Amy, head of housekeeping, was cheerful as was the other housekeeping staff. Tony, Assistant General Manager, was at the front desk and welcomed us warmly as did other front desk staff—Sandy, Brittany, and several others. I was also happy to talk with the gentleman who headed up the breakfast (I believe he was Terry). He and all the others truly seemed delighted to work at this property. Since my wife is from the area, we will look forward to a future stay.

Nice hotel. Reasonably priced. Convenient location. Love the way they handle their maid service, esp. how they handle their towels. Great daytime staff. The only complaint is that the pool is supposed to close at 10 PM. There were people at the pool at 2 AM still screaming at top of their lungs. We called about it and the night staff apparently said something, but did not lock the pool and it made no difference. So, sleep was out of the question. Other than that, a good stay. Bottom line, I would stay there again.
