Amazing location and great view from my balcony ! There are quite a few of cafes and restos around, walkable distance from Baangawat which is a cultural hub with young local handcraft booths and vegetarian café. Walkable distance to Wat Ram Poeng, cozy monestery with vipassana for locals and foreign visitors. Only stayed one night (fortunately) but found the tile and concrete room noisy and loud. Children were running up and down the hall until 9.30 pm, after which quiet finally descended. We booked late and were given a hot west-facing room which required the air-con to run all night. The room was large and clean and the bathroom efficient and there were good hanging racks. Staff were not really that friendly and the free ”breakfast” was just sticky rice and instant coffee. Lots of free parking. However, it is walking distance to the old city and the Friday night walking street markets, which for one night makes it ideal.
