First impression entering the hotel; lack of the typical Hilton scent, and overall 5 star appearance. The lobby has several stands promoting things I can’t tell what is was in Chinese. This is typical in many Chinese hotels but it lacks the 5 star ambiance. Furthermore, near the lobby bar is a nice dessert cabinet filled with Pepsi and mineral water….why? and next to the entrance some ridiculous game boxes that makes no sense. The room was ok, good size and no issues, good cleaning. The pool was ok too but with a small and rather boring gym next door. The dinner buffet was good and for the price which included free flow of a SA mediocre red wine and beer nothing much to complaint about. The poorest part was breakfast and that was depressing, especially for someone expecting a bit of western and Hilton quality, bread selection poor. It’s ok to have a limited selection but at least make the limited selection good and fresh og the day, don’t serve 2 days old bread, that is unacceptable.

I stayed 4 nights and the best thing of this hotel is the location: on top of Sanqingshan, next to the Waishuangxi Cableway (literally 5 min walking from the exit). From here I could wake up early in the mornings and have long days to slowly explore the entire mountain and appreciate every single area, and relax in the evenings just sitting in front of the hotel (beautiful view along the valley). Second best thing of this hotel is the owner, very helpful for anything I needed, and even with my little Chinese he managed very well everything I asked, and also his wife with her nice breakfasts, so service was good. Facilities are also good, considering that it is on top of the mountain and the price paid. I would definitely back to this hotel in other seasons to enjoy Sanqingshan!

My first experience with a camping tent was much better than I imagined. The tent is relatively new and very large, enough to sleep a family of three. The quilt doesn't look old, but because the weather in the south is too humid, moisture condensation at night will inevitably cause mold spots on the quilt. There weren't many bugs. There were basically none inside the tent and not many around. The boss was very nice and provided unlimited hot water. He also reminded us to move the tent to an empty spot next door to prevent us from snoring. The scenery is as shown in the picture. To watch the sunrise, you can climb up for 3/5 minutes to get a wider view. The following is a summary of experience: 1: If you can bring a large bed cover, you can put the quilt on or directly slip into your own quilt cover and cover it with the quilt, which will greatly improve the comfort. 2: Check in advance whether the air cushion is inflated, as well as the pillow part. If it is not inflated, it must be inflated in advance (but the inflating port seems to only be blown by mouth. I don’t know if there is any other way. I can only wipe it with alcohol and disinfect it and then blow it by yourself. Well, it would be better if there were other ways) to sleep comfortably. 3. It may not be cold when you first fall asleep, but as the temperature drops, the humidity increases, and water vapor condenses, it will get colder and colder, so you need to cover yourself with a sleeping bag/quilt. Be prepared in advance. In addition, you can put a bag between the headrest and the tent cloth to separate it, otherwise the tent cloth will slowly condense water vapor and make your hair wet. 4. We wanted to eat, but we were asked to wait for 2 hours before the group members finished serving their food before we could order. When there are no group guests, breakfast is not a buffet. There is only one steamed bun, one small sweet potato, one egg, one bowl of porridge and one bowl of clear noodle soup. Sorry for the price of 299 yuan a night.
