"This hotel is somewhat of a mixed bag. The best thing about it is the location, literally 2 minutes walking distance to the train station, with at least hourly trains to the heart of Florence only taking 20 mins. Signa itself is not remarkable, but you can find good cheap food. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very very dated. Not sure how it still has a 4 star category (maybe left over from 40 years ago). The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, but the place smells old and appliances are very old. Breakfast was fine. It seems that they are very focused on big coach travel groups."

"We stayed two nights at Sandro's. He's a force of nature, incredibly friendly. The location was excellent, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The room was huge, with a mezzanine, and meticulously finished. The perfect place for both visiting Florence and as a base for a business trip. The Italian breakfast was good. The cappuccino in a crockpot was a must-try, and as Sandro says, he's a master at making cappuccino."

Przyjazd był miły i zaoferowano nam natychmiastową kawę: prosty gestem, ale to naprawdę sprawia różnicę; śniadanie było doskonałe, obfite i z świeżymi produktami. Parking jest również bardzo wygodny, łatwy w dostępie i w pobliżu budynku. Uwaga, którą naprawdę doceniliśmy. Dziękuję bardzo za przyjęcie i gotowość. Na pewno wrócimy!"

"I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough! It is located above the main square, thus requires some uphill walking, which in the August heat was formidable. However Yael went WAY beyond the call of duty, even going so far as to offer rides when possible. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in Italy. Then again, Yael asked me specifically what I wanted and tailored the breakfasts to me. Once again, she went way beyond the call of duty. She is one of the best hotelières I have ever met in Italy. 10 out of 10!"

"The noisiest hotel is have ever stayed in. Doors banging at 2-3am. Shouting. People moving around. Can also hear showers and toilets in other rooms. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower cubicle so small couldn't turn around. Shower didn't work great, curtains well worn and very dated furniture. Breakfast was OK although no choice for fruits or salads. Nice coffee and good selection of various croissant. Ideally situated for train into florence."

Only a few things that do not infect my positive judgment: in my room the hairdryer was defect, so much that I had to call the receptionist to adjust it, and yet it continued to work on a regular basis. You cushions a little hard, if I have to be honest, but this is a subjective sense, perhaps somebody likes it likes. Finally, I think a minibar would be duty, it is rare to find a structure that doesn't have it. In any case, I would reiterate that my opinion is fundamentally positive, and if I have the opportunity, I would like to come back."

Morning breakfast, including fresh local pastries, served graciously by our lovely hostess, Irene (speaks English and Italian).
