I have stayed in some top hotels. This is undoubtedly the overseas hotel with the best value for money and the best service I have ever stayed in. It includes free park tickets. Other hotels pick up from the airport by shuttle bus or the like. This one is a Model Every employee around the clock is enthusiastic and serious. They also speak the best English among the Ten Days Inn in Mexico.

The hotel is in the large park of Kaman Beach. There are many luxury hotels around. There are many golf courses. The hotel is a holiday nature and there are many recreational items. Please don't compare with the city business hotel. The balcony has bird droppings and the room has spiders. Normal, because the hotel is covered by the jungle, there are many flora and fauna, the breakfast is good, dinner is better, there are many restaurants and pools, the beach and sea are medium!

The hotel and all the experience was terrible. The food in the buffet is pretty much the same everyday and the quality is really low. There are not enough sunshades for all the guests in the hotel. One day, we left our towels on the sunbed, when we came back 30 minutes later they were gone and the staff told us that they ran out of beach towels. We lost our sunbeds and towels and we had to leave the pool because there weren’t any seats left. The staff doesn’t care about the hotel guests. The golf cars that are supposed to give you rides in the resort refused to take us like 90% of the time. The hotel concierge feels like a huge scammer. We asked if we could get a ride to the main gates of the resort and they refused to take us with the golf cars and said that we could call a taxi for 5$ each way (all of this is to move inside of the resort area). Also, they try to scam you by paying 50$ to go to playa del carmen, wich is like 15 minutes away. It’s a complete joke. Even for the price I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The resort is absolutely beautiful, stunning actually, a mix of modern architecture and Tulum-inspired touches. Both of our rooms were light and airy, giving spa vibes. The beach is perfectly white, uncrowded and quiet (re: no one trying to sell you anything). Another pro was that the service was outstanding. From housekeeping to the poolside staff, everyone was lovely and attentive. Even over Thanksgiving week, it did not feel crowded and there were plenty of employees to meet our every need. Although we had a wonderful time, there were several cons that may prevent us from going back. While we really enjoyed the peace and quiet, we felt quite isolated from sightseeing, sundries, and snacks. The first day we taxied to town just to get cream for our in-room coffee ($10 coffees at the pool bar) and snacks because every restaurant felt like fine dining (at least the price was), and sometimes you just want low-brow. Our cheapest meals were our poolside lunches for $200+/- (4 adults, quesadillas and guacamole and Diet Pepsis, no alcohol). We ended up cancelling all of our dinners onsite and taxied to town to enjoy local sights and food. Similarly, we were shocked to learn the resort holds $300 per person per day for incidentals. After seeing the food and alcohol prices, I suppose we could have gotten there but holding $9600K is crazy. The woman next to us at check-in paid the same for her two and four year olds. And, this policy is NOT anywhere on the site or in our reservation. This really irked us.

This review is long overdue, but we visited Secrets Maroma for the 3rd time in May. Once again this beautiful resort did not disappoint and keeps proving why we keep going back. This time we brought my brother in law and sister in law and they absolutely loved every minute of our trip. The rooms and grounds are as beautiful as ever. Everyone works so hard to keep it clean. One of the best things was seeing staff that was still here from our last trip 5 years ago. It was like going home to see old friends. Upon arrival we were greeted with a familiar smile by Daniel who handed us our cool towel and took care of our bags. Check in was very simple and we got to see another friend Paola who is now working in the front offices. While we were waiting for our rooms to be ready we went for lunch at Seaside and walked around the property. By the time we finished our rooms were ready and Vertiz our building concierge made sure we had everything we needed. Throughout the entire week Vertiz always checked on us and happily gave us anything we had asked for. Each morning we had no problem getting chairs by the pool and the concierges there were always helpful with getting setup. This is where we saw another familiar face, Bramdon. Always great to see him and meet his coworkers Francisco and Manny who always made sure we had our chairs and towels. We also had some great pool servers such as Alberto and Einar. The beach had some seagrass but they worked so hard from very early in the morning to clean it up. Now onto the food. Every meal we had was great and I could not say anything bad about any of the restaurants. The servers and managers at the restaurants are always checking to make sure everything is perfect. There are so many but a few we have to mention are Alba, Estela, Carlos, David at Seaside Grill and Juan the chef at Seaside for our special lunch he prepared with Alba on our last day, Pablo at Bordeaux, Alejandro, Lucio and Josua at Market Cafe, Luis the teppanyaki chef at Himitsu. Last but not least was the Entertainment Staff. They were so much fun and we got involved in so many of the activities because of them. Stephanie, Sebastian, Oscar, Sandy, David, Asdrubal, Memo and Matias thank you for making our trip extra special. So sad when you have to leave this wonderful resort but we will definitely be back.
Jhon at Skybar 5th floor took good care of us. He was very pleasant and informative. We did visit the bar on several occasions and at one time it was very busy but Jhon managed to handle the rush professionally. We plan on Returning next year if all goes as well. I also want to mention that the food and service was exceptional. My only complaint is the elevators were too congested and very slow.

GGuest UserOur stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.
JJenniferClean spacious rooms. Great housekeeping and front desk staff. Nice to have self serve laundry. Really large gym with everything you need. Awesome bathroom. Spacious and always hot water!!’
RRandelwoodThis is quickly becoming our favorite resort! We went in October (you can read my review from then on here as well) and again in March and have already planned our third visit for this fall! We opted for a third story ocean view room this time (we had a private corner pool suite last time). We loved listening to the waves every night from our room and waking up to the sunrise every morning. The room was very similar to the last one we had. Very modern, marble bathroom etc but this room had a jetted soaking tub. We requested building 67 so we could be close to the infinity pool and Helios restaurant. From the moment you arrive you are treated like family. Israel, the bellboy captain, is always prepared with a warm welcome and Kevin at the front desk is always a wonderful familiar face to see! Alberto, Sergio and Romeo are amazing golf cart drivers! They always get you where you need to go with a smile and a warm greeting! They have become our friends and we look forward to seeing them again soon! All of the butlers are excellent as well. Rafael and Mariana took great care of us! If there is anything at all you need, don’t hesitate to ask your butler. The food and drinks here are excellent. There are top shelf options included such as crown royal, captain Morgan, grey goose etc. David, Jonathan and Mayra made sure our cups were never empty :) Daniel at La Jarra (trs only beach bar) was a treat! We enjoyed hanging out there with him. He works very hard keeping all the trs guests happy! Alfredo at La Terraza (the “quiet” pool) made us some special custom drinks that were amazing! We ate breakfast every day at Helios (capricho wasn’t open) and often times lunch as well. My husband even started making up breakfast sandwiches for himself lol and they made them for him every day! Martha and Wendy made breakfasts exceptional! They even brought us a sweet goodbye dessert plate :) Ivonne is an amazing hostess and has become someone that we feel is our friend and we look forward to seeing her again soon! Our favorite dinner spots are Tentazione and La Boheme. We like sitting in the special booth there! We tried Sumptuori (hibachi) this trip and enjoyed it as well. The evening entertainment here is the BEST that we’ve encountered since Covid restrictions affected the resorts. The chic show is running on a smaller scale and is in the terrace bar, full moon. The burlesque show is fabulous and should not be missed! We also enjoyed ****** night! Be prepared to make new friends here on a nightly basis! It’s so much fun! Make sure to check out Las Rocas, the salt water pool. Bring your snorkel gear and water shoes! We also enjoyed a round of putput golf at the activities center! Insider tip: take an early morning walk before it gets hot out. Grab a latte (with amaretto lol) from the lobby bar and head out. Walk all over. Discover the cenote and the flamingo area. Walk all the way to the trs only beach. This will help you familiarize yourself with th
GGuest UserThe appearance of the hotel is okay, the breakfast is OK, but I don't think it's a four-star hotel, it's almost a three-star hotel. And it's super humid, even the paper towels in the bathroom are wet, it just feels wet to the touch. The whole room smelled of damp, which was very uncomfortable. The service is good, the sink was blocked, and someone came to fix it within ten minutes of calling.
SShisandao-XA friend bought me the famous Xcaret water park. Hotel prices for Christmas are ridiculously expensive, especially the hotels owned by Xcaret. So this time, in addition to staying at Xcaret Mexico (hereinafter referred to as More Iberostar Quetzal (hereinafter referred to as Q). The price of Hotel Q is less than half that of Hotel X (of course Hotel X includes amusement park tickets, you have to decide whether it’s worth it). Compared to X, which is famous among Chinese people, has better hardware facilities and scenery, I recommend Q more
environment:
Hotel X is a five-star hotel that Chinese people are familiar with. It has large rooms, new facilities, and not to mention hardware. The beach is very unique, and it feels like an Avatar suspended mountain. Most of the beach is composed of rocks, and there is a small section of beach. The water quality is super good. X is the garden and Q is the jungle.
Catering Services:
If I had only stayed at Hotel X, I might have thought it was pretty good, but unfortunately I stayed at Hotel Q. In contrast, Q Hotel feels like home. The waiters are more cheerful and accommodating. The drinks are open to drink. The buffet has many fresh varieties and there is basically no need to wait for a table. On Christmas Day, you can eat lobsters and oysters all you want. There is no stinginess at all. In contrast, the waiters at Hotel
I also made a reservation for the Xin Gao Japanese meal, so my expectations weren’t too high. I ordered an appetizer of rice, and what came out was a bowl of white rice! I ordered sashimi without wasabi. The waiter said sorry, there is no wasabi today. I will give you pickled ginger slices instead of mustard.
Activity:
It’s very convenient to go to Xcaret’s parks, with buses running every 20 minutes. The hotel offers free airport drop-off, but reservation is required one day in advance.
YYOUFANGThe hotel does not have a breakfast. It is convenient to have supermarkets and restaurants in the surroundings. There is parking lot. It is close to the sea. It is convenient to swim with a pool. There are many specialties by the sea, and many small gift shops.
GGuest UserPros - safe, clean and beautiful - best wifi we've ever had. Video calls on the beach good. And it's free everywhere - enough to do on resort to keep you busy for 4-5 days. - short travel to Tulum, sailing excursions Cons - 75 minutes from the Cancun airport which puts this resort south of Play Del Carmen - the price puts the Catalonia in a category with similar/better resorts closer to other hotspots - not much seating available at the pools - Drank for 8 hours straight and wasn't drunk? Not sure what happened, but like other places there are stories about watered down booze - you use a website to book stuff and get info about the resort, but a bunch of us couldn't book a-la-cartes Tips and tricks - Bring water shoes for the beach (there's always stories about people cutting their feet on coral). - Bring small bills for tips because nobody can break down 50s or 100s on the resort. - Consider upgrading to ”exclusive” or ”privelaged” at the resort. We upgraded for 20$/day and got access to all the perks (up to 25% off at the resort shops, access to the restricted beach bar, pool, and beach area, access to 2 more restaurants, and free hydrotherapy sessions at the spa) making this little upgrade worth every penny Stayed here with my wife for a wonderful week in October 2022. The staff was mostly content and happy, but a bit understaffed at the bars. There was a considerable amount of amenities for the size of resort, with several pools and restaurants. The ocean conditions were very pleasant (bathtub warm) and the sea wall breakers kept it mostly flat. The daytime activities seemed a bit rushed at the pool/beach volleyball court, and the night time shows were well done and varied for content. I would recommend this resort if you're already planning to be down in this area, but it can't really compare to other resorts right in Playa Del Carmen or Cancun.
I took my extended family to Playa del Carmen for a fun week. I booked 4 separate 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms suites at Anah Suites but were given 3 suites at Anah Downtown and 1 suite at Anah La Playa across the street. They were overbooked and our concierge, Daniel Jimenez, tried to accommodate us by offering to move us to the La Quinta by Anah on 5th Avenue & 40th, but we realized that the current location was actually the best since it was close to everything. Daniel was really accommodating and the staffs were really nice! The suites were offered at a good price for the money, however, it is close to a busy street. I let the rest of my family stay at the suites at Anah Downtown and we stayed in the suite at La Playa across the street. Our room was clean but one of the toilet wasn't flushing in 1 bathroom and the shower barely worked in the other bathroom. This was annoying at first, but wasn't a big deal since we spent most of our time outdoors doing activities. Be warned that nearby streets are constantly busy (noise all day and all night) and for our trip, the other guests were coming home at 3:00AM in the morning and making a lot of noise. Playa del Carmen is very close to Xcaret, Xplor, Xel-ha, Tulum and a lot of cenotes that were really fun to swim in. We will definitely do this again soon.
GGuest UserFrom start to finish, the experience at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso was simply outstanding. The resort itself is beautiful, with immaculately maintained grounds. But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the employees, particularly Miroslava, Rafael, Timu, Jorge (from the trolly), Mijael (bartender), and Francisco!! As mentioned, the employees at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso that truly make the resort stand out and made our time there absolutely AMAZING are Miroslava, Rafael, Timu, Jorge (from the trolly), Mijael (bartender), and Francisco! Here are some more positives about their exceptional service: * They are incredibly knowledgeable about the resort and the surrounding area. They were always happy to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants, and local attractions, and they seemed genuinely invested in ensuring that we had a wonderful time! * They were dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that we felt valued and appreciated. They clearly take pride in their work and went out of their way to make sure that every guest had a personalized and memorable experience. * They are warm, friendly, and approachable. They are always available to answer questions or offer assistance, but never intrusive or pushy. * They are professional, and they take their jobs very seriously. They are punctual, reliable, and always strived to exceed guest expectations. Overall, these employees at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso are truly exceptional. Their dedication to providing outstanding service and ensuring that guests have a wonderful time is evident in everything they do. I can't speak highly enough of them and their commitment to making the resort a truly special place. Please do ensure this feedback is shared with them all. THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME TIME GUYS!!! You made the trip super awesome and we are super grateful to have met you all. - Adrian (NYC)
GGuest UserFour family couples rented 4 condos here in Feb 2023. We were there a week. Playa Del Carmen (PDC) is no longer a sleepy fishing village and Google says has 340,000 population. The touristy pedestrian 5th Avenue is flanked by a great music scene reminiscent of New Orleans - IMP. Lots of great live music everywhere, afternoon and evening. As with all tourist destinations it was not inexpensive. While you could find deals (25 peso tacos at The Best Tacos Ever on Mondays) - and local beer from 50 - 65 pesos, hamburgers were 250 pesos at the beach clubs, and we paid as much as 500 pesos for lunch portion of grilled mahi-mahi with a small portion of yam fries. This seemed to always include fresh corn chips, salsa and very often live bands, not mariachis, but 3 to 5 piece bands. This is a new condo hotel residence located at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, which is 2km north of the ADO bus terminal, the ferry terminal and the centre of the tourist area all of which are on 5th Avenue. It is about 4 blocks to the clean and modern Chadraui Grocery store and 4 blocks to the beach. It is a very pretty building with marble floors, open air lobby with front desk and coffee shop. Great cappuccino. The front desk is manned during the day time. Carlos was friendly, spoke English fluently and was very helpful. The desk’s job was to call the owner if there was a problem with a suite. There is a security person at the building lobby entrance 24 hours. Fresh linens were on Wednesday. This is not a full service hotel. The condo units are owned by different people - meaning, to us, each unit has different kitchen supplies and maintenance, for example. The one bedroom units have two bathrooms, and are designed to be locked off to create 2 separate units. The square footage of what you are renting is listed on the website. Check this carefully to know what you are renting. We had a full ( both parts - Suite 205 and 205L) of a one bedroom suite with balcony. One part would be bedroom with king bed, TV and bath. The other part has kitchen, table height dining bar for 4, TV and a pull out couch and bathroom.
