I recently had a delightful stay at Hotel Tentrem in Semarang, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and their attentiveness truly enhanced our experience. The cleanliness of the rooms and restrooms was impressive, which is always a top priority for me when traveling. The hotel amenities, including the gym, were excellent and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast spread. The variety was fantastic, and the quality of the food was outstanding. I also want to give a special shoutout to Ibuk Elfi for her warm hospitality during breakfast. Her cheerful demeanor made our mornings even more enjoyable. As a coffee lover, I was particularly impressed by the skills of Mas Arafi, the barista. I thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccino, mocaccino, and café latte he prepared; each cup was a treat. His knowledge of coffee truly shines through in every sip. An experience worth coming for and coming back to. The Gumaya serves as a reminder of what quality service can become when great products are handled by great people. The rooftop bar offers exquisite views, and friendly staff tend to your every need. A staple since the early 2000s for families and solo travelers alike, the Gumaya evolved into a quality offering in a sea of competition for the best 5 star in Semarang. Clean and spacious rooms with a good view either side, tasteful decor, and a comfortable overall experience. Breakfast was Lucious and plentiful, easy parking, and central location to explore Semarang plus the added taxi convenience makes it an all rounder

Khas Hotel is located nearby city centre. I walked out from the hotel to the left I can go to Queen City Mall and to the right I can walk to Pollux Mall Paragon Semarang. Outside of the hotel, there are some local eateries during day time and night time. There's also a pharmacy called Apotek on the right after you walk out from hotel main entrance. There's a IndoMart opposite and the price was reasonable. Hence, very convenient. The cleanliness of hotel needs to be improved. There are some areas near clothing hanging area and bed side table quite dusty. I have to wipe it with my wet tissue. There were 2 lamps in the room one on the table in front of TV and one on the bedside table both were fitted onto the table, hence it made the space of table being blocked. The welcome drink served in a small shot glass and there was no water dispenser for hotel guest. The bathroom design was not good as after taking shower the water will flow out to the sink and toilet bowl area as the glass divider was too small to block the water from spilling out to the dry area. The shower head was fitted on top to the ceiling hence a bit hard to wash our body thoroughly. The water come down from our head directly. There was no way to adjust shower head as it was fixed onto the ceiling. Our room 318 was next to 3 Airconf compresser. Hence if other hotel guests on their Aircond, we can hear the noise so loud at night. The hotel offered a gift voucher for Grab app user but the front desk staff did not inform us. Only on our last night stay, we saw the gift voucher appeared in hotel in house TV screen outside of lobby lift. But too bad, I can no longer utilise the 10,000rp discount voucher although I being taking Grab for the past 4 days in Semarang. But hotel housekeeper was very helpful and same goes to the concierge also very friendly and helpful.

Overall service was excellent especially Mr Aviet, duty manager. I highlighted to him that there was no view at all in my room; the mirror was stained and the tap water splashing when turned on. He immediately came to my room and gave options for a change. He swapped my room on the same floor with a nice view on the second day for the rest of my stay. Good location, hotel a little old but clean. Complimentary mineral water is restricted to 2 bottles only with only basic in the bathroom (shpoo n shower gel plus tooth brush n tooth paste). Requested for ironing board and iron that took around 45 min n 1 reminder

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Śniadanie jest okropne, miękki porridge, tylko sałatka, jest makaron, ale jego makaroni pokryte małym czerwonym sosem bez smaku, stoły nie są sprzątane prawidłowo, 2 osoby na rogu jajka tylko serwują jajko z solem, nie ma toppingów, Brak warzyw, tylko czyste jajko + sól, główny kurs nie miał odmiany, ryż nudny 1 rodzaj warzyw, ryba, i kurczak. Aby dostać się do restauracji musisz przejść przez basen, fajny sposób myślenia, nie praktyczny, gdy jest wiele dzieci grających z wodą, rodziców i niańki siedzące po boku.

We stayed during Ied Mubarak holiday for 4 days/3 nights in April 2025. We booked 2 connecting rooms for my family (4 persons). I chose this hotel because it has swimming pool and gym, we used to exercise daily. In fact, the gym was closed for long term maintenance. It should be declared and crossed out from the hotel facility so we noticed from beginning, not surprised on site. The rooms at a glance were ok but when we looked to the interior were lousy. The curtain, gordyn, and bed lamps, dirty and stained. My children room has no curtain, so direct sunshine and very hot during the day. The towel seemed already used for years. not soft, looks lousy and the color not pure white as normally hotel towel. Each room provided safety box but no function at all. if you see the direction on the safety box (see the photo), it supposed has red button inside the box but no button at all. The safety box used 4 battery. In my room has only 2 batteries out of 4 and already expired since March 2018. My children' room has 4 battery but also not functioned. the button numbers and keys cant be pressed so we cant keep important and valuable items inside it. The swimming pool were crowded and the water was dirty. the hotel supposed to overall cleaning to the pool due to holiday seasons but the water obviously dirty. The parking lot is low maintenance, dirty, and rubbish everwhere. the Horison Ultima was only 3 years old last December 2024 as I saw from the stickwerck at lobby. The hotel was Star Hotel and changed to Horison Ultima. The parking lot was narrow and limited. For location is ok, near Java Mall. good for morning walk. the hotel staffs were polite and fast response. the amenities for 4* hotel is good enough. the mini fridge in the room is ok as well as the Aircon. If I may advise the management, please take serious attention to the cleanliness and maintenance also room refurbishment to the lousy interior inside as top priority.

The location is superb, you need to pass small alley to go there. Many foods around area. The staff is very helpful. The room is small, without window, you can hear people talking or walk by. The cleanliness is really needed to improve, especialy for bathroom, and bed. The parking space is small and limited, but not too worry, they have security to assist you. Overall is quite nice to budget hotel.

We requested for high floor and good view and we’re obliged. We were told it is the new wing, however it is still somewhat oldish looking, especially the toilet is rather simply furnished. Breakfast spread is alright and has a lot of guest every morning
