"We stayed in the Bowler Cottage, it was recently renovated, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, and the shower had great water pressure, and it had everything we needed. Good car parking, kind and helpful hosts and such a beautiful place, the gardens were well cared for and there were friendly pet piggies. We had a lovely time staying here and will come back."

"Booked this last minute in our way from the airport to Arthur’s Pass. The room was great with all we needed in the kitchen as well. There is a small gas station not far away where you can buy some food to cook. Other than that there really isn’t much at the town. But we loved it. Also the owner was super sweet and welcoming. Great to be able to park right in front of your own room."

"Our group stayed on a Saturday night at Smylies accomodation in between two long day-hikes in the Arthurs pass area. We were welcomed at the door and greeted with a smile! The fire was lit and maintained in the communal area, so alongside the heat pump in our 6-bed hostel room it was super cozy. The hostel was very reasonably priced and exceeded our expectations. I would also like to note that the bathrooms were really lovely and very modern."

"Cozy lodge. Nice food. Friendly staff. Light broken above bed but staff gave me a torch to use to read with. Beds shook whenever kids next door jumped around. Noisy. Would have liked some light snacks for sale such as crisps or nuts. As not allowed to bring any food at all. Was charged twice for accomodation. Still have not been paid back. It’s been two weeks! Have been in contact numerous times.😡"
