„I stayed in a single room for two nights. Just enough for me going around inner city, not too difficult to come back from anywhere in the city. I didn't mind the shared bathroom, shower and everything, but some of light and the shower booths seem to be fixed. I'd recommend to have a heater or electric blanket during winter.”

Location: The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s just 1.1 km from the central train station, and you can hop on free bus services like the Red CAT, Blue CAT, or Green CAT, with stops only 100m to 250m away—perfect for easy commuting. Behind the hotel lies the stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden. If you don’t feel like walking the 300m to get there, the Blue CAT will drop you off effortlessly. The accessibility to public transport and nearby attractions is a huge plus. Cleanliness: While the exterior might look a bit dated, the interior is surprisingly spotless. I booked a room for two, but the bedding and pillows provided were enough for four, which was a nice touch. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness. Facilities: The private kitchen was a highlight—equipped with a rice cooker, pots, pans, a toaster, a fridge, and enough cutlery, plates, and utensils for four people. They even provide coffee, which I appreciated. However, there are a few downsides: the electric stove is small and outdated, making cooking a bit slow. Also, there’s no salt or basic seasonings provided, nor chopsticks, which might inconvenience Asian guests. The bathroom features a very clean bathtub, but it lacks shampoo and body wash, so you’ll need to bring your own. Despite these minor drawbacks, I’d still rate Mountway Hotel Apartment as the best value for money in its category. It’s practical, comfortable, and ideal for Asian travelers who want to stay longer and cook meals to suit their tastes. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home experience in Perth!”

„Dotarłem do hostelu o 3 rano, a sprawdzenie było łatwe. Jest w świetnym miejscu, jak 8-minute spacer do Perth City Station. Kuchnia ma mnóstwo rzeczy, takich jak mikrofalówki, frytki powietrzne, tostery, czajniki i wszystkie naczynia, które potrzebujesz, plus dużo miejsca, aby wywiesić i jeść.”

„It was a unique experience to stay in the oldest prison in western australia. We had a double decker in one of the cell blocks and showered in a ild shower that inmates used to use back in the day. Its walking distance to the markets and cafes. Great place to stay”

„That was great and cleaner than I expected . Pretty much everything in the room, except kitchen. This hostel isn’t typical party hostel. I reckon everyone would stay there without stress. I’d love to stay here again if I’ve got chance.”

„U can find everything essentials here. Comfortable sleeping bed, friendly staffs, spacious kitchen & outdoor dining area, had my self cooked dinner here. U can meet many ppl frm diff countries. Easy to access by Transperth bus 950, walk for 300 meters and u wil get to find tis hotel.”

„One of my favourite stays in Perth. Room was clean, felt extremely homey and a great selection of teas were provided. Only downside was the music from the bar, though it did stop on the dot at 12am. The occasional passing vehicle could also be heard in the morning. Welcome drink from the bar downstairs was a nice touch!”

„Cons: parking a bit limited, unsecure. Elevator is functional but a bit scary for my partner. A microwave or similar would have been nice? Or even just cutlery? In places, property is showing age but within reason. Noise through floors/walls from other guests, even closing doors a floor above is very audible let alone TV/etc Shower head needed descaling and was a bit erratic Pros: On beachfront, although our view was a bit obstructed. Dining next door has always been excellent, great food. Room was large, functional, and quite clean and pleasant. Bed was comfortable, pillows pleasant and linen clean. Check in and out was easy and simple. Overall, I'd stay here again and plan to book a room again in December. Our 2 nights here were great, and watching the water from our table having dinner in the rain was fantastic. If you're expecting a 5-star resort, you'll be dissapointed. If you want a clean, large, comfortable room, in a good location and easy access to good food (recommend the fish and chip shop 5 mins away), and just a pleasant beach front stay? Book here.”

„The owner is nice. It’s more like a share-house, well arrangements with public areas. Not crowded, it’s clean and comfortable. People there are friendly like friends. Suitable for short and long stays.”
