„I always stay at this hotel when passing through Chengde, and this time I booked it directly based on a recommendation from Ctrip. During check-in, I was told it was a special offer room, located at the very edge of the hotel. Thinking I was only staying one night and needed to travel the next day, I didn't pay much attention. However, as soon as I entered the room, I was overwhelmed by the strong smell of smoke. Around 4 AM, it suddenly became incredibly noisy downstairs, like people picking me up at the station shouting loudly. This lasted for over half an hour, waking me up. This is the first time I've encountered this situation in three stays. If I had been told beforehand that it would be this noisy, I would definitely have paid extra to change rooms. After all, I had to drive on the highway the next day, and not getting enough rest really affects my performance. For those driving, please be aware of this beforehand and ask about the room location and noise levels!”

„Our room was very spacious and clean, much bigger than expected. Hotel staff very friendly. Location is quite convenient, about 10 min walk from the station and about 20 min by car from the Mountain resort. It was raining when we arrived, so when we went out to get food, the reception lady kindly offered to give us an umbrella. Will stay again if I come to Chengdu again.”

從北京去朝陽，搜尋沿路的景點，看到了金山嶺長城，評價非常好，就決定來這裏。訂酒店的時候翻了好久，最後選定了這家農家院，老闆一家非常熱情，有停車位。酒店就在景區大門口，注意，不是景區大門外，是景區中門的門口，直接省了電瓶車的費用，遊覽完長城從東門下山老闆娘還親自來接。酒店位置也非常好，看完景區夜景出來之後發現酒店的位置看夜景就很棒。位置有限，酒店條件一般，但收拾的很乾凈，也很安靜，休息的不錯。

With an outside temperature of several degrees minus, we were glad to find our room well warmed up upon arrival. The room was really clean, the beds comfortable and the host friendly and helpful. We recommend this as an ideal stay to explore the Great Wall section of Jinshanling, especially as the entrance is just a 5-minutes walk away.

Hotel man is great, he speaks very good English and is super friendly and kind. Transportation by car was arranged to and from the train station as well as for heading up the hill at 6am to the Jinshanling great wall park entrance to catch sunrise from the Great Wall at the top. It is possible to just walk up to the gate instead, it just takes longer to walk the 2 km to the ticket checking gate, and there is then still some maybe 15 mins of walking uphill before getting to the top. Photos show the view from my room, the menu of the hotel restaurant, dinner (尖椒豆片炒肉), and breakfast (fried rice and soup).

The Hotel is located at a busy central road. Lots of shops around and a good popular grocery store. The staff is welcoming and helpful as it can be. 5 stars. The room is small but okay. The bed is comfortable like most chinese beds. The bathroom is super tiny and had some plumbing problems also the grey water from the shower runs across the floor to the sink, bear in bind when you put dowm a towel for your feet. The light in all rooms is very dark and everything in the room was laying under a urine smell caused by the aircon. That's the reason we would not stay here again. The breakfast is great but the room is too small to fit all guests, so it gets super busy. Plus point: you can tale your bicycle to the rooms.

Albergo situato alle porte della Jianshanling scenic area (20 min a piedi fino all’entrata dove si può iniziare la scalata per arrivare alla muraglia) Per arrivare noi abbiamo optato per un treno da Beijingbei a Gubeikou e poi organizzato con host un transfer. Host molto gentile e accogliente che ci ha offerto anche un upgrade gratuito🙃. L’albergo è pulito e accogliente con il ristorante al piano terra comodo perché intorno non c’è niente. Cibo buono e ad un prezzo giusto. Grazie ci tornerei 😊

Gorąco polecam pobyt w tym hotelu podczas wspinaczki na Wielki Mur. Obiekt położony jest bardzo blisko wejścia do obszaru widokowego, zaledwie kilka kroków od obiektu. Dzięki temu zakwaterowaniu samochodem można wjechać w malownicze rejony. Oszczędza mnóstwo energii. W przeciwnym razie będziesz musiał przejść długą drogę, aby dotrzeć do kasy biletowej. Ciocia była bardzo miła i pomogła nam wnieść bagaże na górę. Przepraszam bardzo. Nie jestem już młody i znów muszę cię niepokoić. Kilka razy próbowałem okraść, ale nie udało mi się wygrać. Dziecko niechcący pobrudziło pościel i chcieliśmy ją wyprać, ale ciocia próbowała nas powstrzymać. Powiedz nam, że przyjazd tutaj jest jak powrót do domu. Czuję się bardzo przyjaźnie. Można spróbować także niektórych specjałów wiejskich, w szczególności pysznych potraw przygotowywanych przez ciotkę. Następnym razem, gdy przyjadę wspinać się na Wielki Mur, na pewno zatrzymam się w domu mojej ciotki.

Po powrocie smakowicie jest zjeść świeżo przygotowaną kaszę jaglaną, gorące naleśniki i duże warzywa ! Wielki Mur jest piękny o każdej porze roku. Pojadę tam następnym razem i zatrzymam się tu ponownie!

The hostel is super trendy! Walking in, I had to make sure I was at the right place because the reception is a cosy bar! The staff did not speak English but we overcame the language barriers using WeChat. Everyone is very friendly and patient! Even the dog called 由由! The cubicle beds are more luxurious than other hostels I stayed at. They are spacious and provide almost complete privacy. I also received slippers, so it was extra cosy! The bathroom can be improved because without shower curtain even the toilet gets wet, but it is spacious enough to keep your clothes dry. This hostel is suitable for longer stays as well, especially with friends because they have many activities and games at the hostel. Reception helps with the organisation of tours to the grasslands and many other trips as well (although these tours are fully in Chinese. So some Chinese language skills are recommended). If I ever return to Chengde, then I will stay there again!
