I missed breakfast, and the restaurant manager arranged for breakfast to be delivered to my room, offering a diverse selection – incredibly considerate. Thinking about it now warms my heart! Hiking on the nearby Twin Towers Mountain offers fantastic photo opportunities, perfect for those who are both inexperienced and enjoy outdoor activities."

"The hotel is tired and dirty. There's no breakfast or restaurant at all. There was no refrigerator in the room. The selection of toiletries was limited. The beds were comfortable. The blankets, pillows, and linens were new. There was a large TV, air conditioning, a kettle, and a hairdryer. The internet was decent. Guests can enjoy a free bath complex nearby, including a sauna, two swimming pools, a relaxation room, and a washroom. Women are less fortunate; their section only has showers and a sauna. You can get a decent massage on the second floor for a fee. The hotel is conveniently located—almost in the historic center of the city, a 5-minute walk from the main attraction, the summer mountain residence of the Chinese emperors. There's private parking. There's a large shopping center with a food court nearby, including a Burger King and a Starbucks (good places to grab breakfast). There's a large grocery supermarket on the ground floor. If you're not too picky about amenities and only stay overnight, this is a good choice due to its low price."

"During our trip to Chengde, we opted for this hotel. While it's a bit far from the Mountain Resort, its proximity to the local commercial street makes it easy to experience daily life in Chengde. The hotel rooms are exceptionally well-decorated, featuring very new facilities. The view from the window is also great. The room was equipped with a 'Xiao Du' smart assistant and smart curtains, which the kids absolutely loved. The bathroom, with its wet/dry separation and smart toilet seat, was exceptionally clean. We booked a family room, and its size was quite satisfactory. Breakfast costs 18 RMB per person, and its quality is comparable to a standard budget hotel. However, a key point to note is that the underground parking garage lacks an elevator, requiring you to walk up. Surface parking spots are limited, with only about 10 available. Staff might assist you in finding a surface spot, avoiding the need to climb stairs. This is certainly a minor inconvenience, but considering the price and amenities, it still offers excellent value for money. Overall, if you're visiting Chengde, I would recommend this hotel."

"The room was quite large and spacious enough for two people. Since we missed the summer peak, there were more rooms available, and the front desk upgraded us. Thank you! Shenghua is a long-established four-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit older, they are well-maintained and fully functional. The service was disappointing. The rooms were okay, but the restaurant was especially good. During our multiple-day stay, every time I attended breakfast, the waiters who collected my meal coupons didn't smile or greet me. Some even had expressionless, cold faces, and took my meal coupons without a word. It was a real chill, and I lost my appetite. Was it because of the peak season of the past two months?! The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it had the basics and was more than enough to fill me up."
