„We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!”

„The room is great, and the owner is super helpful with our bus ticket and bringing us down to the station to informed the bus driver where to drop us.

„Uwielbiałam to miejsce! Było tuż obok dworca autobusowego i bardzo blisko platformy widokowej! Do klasztoru też niedaleko... i serwują naprawdę dobre śniadania!!! Nie wspominając o tym, że w każdym pokoju jest koncentrator tlenu, co bardzo mi się przydało... Szef był dla mnie bardzo miły i zawsze dbał o to, abym czuła się komfortowo podczas pobytu, bardzo to doceniam :)”

„⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome stay experience! The room is heated enough, not cold at all, equipped with an oxygen generator, and it is not afraid of high reaction. The projection quality is clear and it is too cool to lie down and watch a movie at night. You can watch Rizhao Jinshan 🤩🤩 on the roof. The clean bedding is comfortable and the boss is also enthusiastic. It is highly recommended!”

„The homestay owner is reliable. Can ask and help you plan your journey. I use ~90 minutes public bus from Shangrila to Benzilan village. And ask the homestay owner to arrange the share van(local people use it) for my back trip.You will feel more comfort for altitude sickness problem here.”

„Room was small but ok for 4 pax not to feel v squeezy. The bathroom had a heater overhead which when turned on, makes one not feel cold immediately after a shower. Thumbs up for the nice fixture!
Booked the hotel for its newly-renovated rooms and good rating, with a private rooftop that has unblocked view of Meili Snow Mountain hence dont need to walk down to Fei Lai Si viewing platform in the cold morning.”

MMax_S02Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again.

Some hotels look good in photos but the quality and details not good. This hotel is exactly like in the photos, even better - quality, quality, quality. Great value for the cost. It’s a 15 min walk to the main temple area, but that’s better to enjoy the nature and scenery, and the staff will drive you if you prefer. Plus there are restaurants just a few mins away. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this one!

The location is convenient, just a short walk away from the Feilaisi Observation Deck. The service is warm and friendly. I felt very at home here. You get a discount when you eat at their restaurant too. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

SSem S.We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring upper Yubeng and doing some of the hikes. The location is great with some good panoramic views of the mountains. Sunset and sunrise are both amazing from here! The service was good, friendly staff and kind people. The room is fine! We had a heater which helped a lot for the cold nights. We didn't like the disposable towels, such a waste! Also the room wasn't cleaned once in our three nights and we had to keep asking for toilet paper/towels ourselves. Apart from that everything was fine. Good vegetarian food too:)

GGuest UserFacilities: The whole smart home system was very convenient, the room was spacious, and the underfloor heating was lovely. The oxygen concentrator also had a nasal cannula option. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: It's directly opposite the Feilai Temple bus stop, which is super convenient, and only a few hundred meters from the viewing platform. Service: Excellent! Both ladies were very sweet and promptly helped resolve any issues.

Piesek Doodoo jest przesłodki i czułem się jak w domu, super cicho i spokojnie! Wygodne łóżka z kocem elektrycznym i czysty pokój.
Minusy:
Wspólne toalety i prysznic z umywalką znajdują się na zewnątrz, co nie jest idealne w zimny listopad.
Pierwszego dnia kobieta pracująca była bardzo pomocna i uprzejma, pomogła mi wyprać ubrania, przygotowała jedzenie i odpowiedziała na moje pytania. Drugiego dnia spotkałem inną kobietę, która nie korzystała z aplikacji do tłumaczenia, co utrudniało sprawę. Nie zrobiła mi gorącego napoju w kawiarni i nie wyjaśniła dlaczego, a także nie była zbyt pomocna w kwestiach transportu, ponieważ nie tłumaczyła swoich odpowiedzi. Niestety, to się wyróżnia, ponieważ 99% ludzi w Chinach pomaga! Poszedłem do innej kawiarni na końcu ulicy, gdzie ludzie od razu okazali się bardzo pomocni.

GGośćWhat sets this guesthouse apart from others is its convenient location - while most people spend 2 nights in Upper Yubeng and 1 night in Lower Yubeng, this guesthouse was conveniently located between Upper and Lower Yubeng, allowing me to explore all the hikes without having to change accommodation. The food provided was fresh and good, and the rooms were neat and tidy. Extra points for a western toilet, as many other guesthouses only offer squatting bathrooms. The owners always looked out for our safety as well, providing information on which hikes were safe to do, weather permitting. Will highly recommend this for its convenient location and great service.

GGośćHighly recommend this hostel if you want to meet new people in Yubeng! Foreigner-friendly food (I recommend the beef fried rice!) and service (one staff member speaks English really well and others are happy to use translator apps). The only downsides about this hostel is that the toilets/showers for the dorm rooms need to be cleaned way more frequently (there was always mud from hiking boots everywhere) and the walls are very thin. If this is something that bothers you, then I would recommend you book a private room instead of the dorm. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay at this hostel!
