Not really a youth hostel but someone's high rise flat filled with beds on 7th floor. Excellent location near to railway station but difficult to find on the map and you need to ring the owner who doesn't speak English. I've added the photo of the entrance doorway and amended map but you still need to ring the owner to get access. Cramped, only one bathroom for a lot of people, but kitchen with kettle and living area, good budget accommodation for a night, I wouldn't stay here longer.

Mieliśmy naprawdę wspaniałe doświadczenie. Moja rodzina i ja, w sumie pięciu osób, zarezerwowaliśmy luksusowy biznes inteligentny apartament, który ma trzy sypialnie. Hotel był nowy i czysty. Lokalizacja była ładna, z centrum handlowego, sklepów z jedzeniem i przystankiem autobusowym w pobliżu. Dekoracja w pokoju była naprawdę miła i pokój był przestronny. Chociaż powiedziała, że pokój pali dozwolone, pokój w ogóle nie pachnie. Staff był super przyjazny i pomocny. Mieliśmy przyjemne pobyt.

Minus one point for cleanliness as I was in a smoker's room - as a non-smoking person the smell was bothering me. Other than that everything was great! Various breakfast options, many restaurants right next to the hotel, free laundromat. I had a problem finding it but it is literally right next to Vienna Hotel. 5min walk from Kunming station.

Zameldowałem się po raz drugi w pokoju sześcioosobowym. Tym razem pokój był czysty i schludny. Bar i restauracja w recepcji były jednak bardzo dobre , zapach ścieków w łazience był bardzo silny. Mogłem tylko włączyć wentylator wyciągowy. Zaleca się go trochę wyczyścić; izolacja akustyczna musi zostać poprawiona, ludzie będą się budzić rano i wieczorem otwórz i zamknij drzwi lub przejdź obok i porozmawiaj; makaron ryżowy na śniadanie jest bardzo pachnący, zaleca się przygotowanie większej ilości, nie było ich, kiedy byłem tam o 9 rano, ogólnie jest bardzo dobry, mam nadzieję; zajazd będzie coraz lepszy!

Good if you want to spend a night near the railway station. About 40mins away from the city center by subway. Otherwise, the rooms are good, comfortable and very spacious, even though the entrance, and corridor don't look too good. It's in the tenth floor, in case you dont know chinese

great value for money for short transit. The owners are all kind and you even got a free station pick up and drop off service.

Our room at the stay was clean. The homestay offered free transportation to and from the airport. We communicate with them about the ride and had to wait for over an hour for the ride. The car that picked us up had others to pick up, which was understandable, but the car was small and couldn’t handle the amount of pick ups. There was no response to taking us to the airport. Also, the stay has no heat or hot water in cold weather Kumming, fyi.

Despite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note: 1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival. 2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room. 3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised. We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.

Great location, look for the yellow boards and you will find it easily. The room items are little bit used but all is all right and clean. I would not recommend to stay during cold nights - the room doesnt have AC. I was staying in room 207 and i heard all noise from stairs, even just walking and also people in room 206 were awake and screaming whole night so be aware of that.
