Away from the ancient city, You turn left from the inn to the main road, there is a really popular dumpling shop next to the police station, and on the main road if you turn left, there is a massage parlour on level 3, and further down is the night food market with great food. (Much better than what they offer in the ancient city) ranging from a 5-15 min walk.
If you head towards the ancient city, turn right from the inn and it feels like you’re there already, but it’s just the outside of the wall, about 5 mins walk, you meet the actual entrance. And super picturesque.

„The hotel is right next to the metro exit. The staff are all friendly, and the cleaning lady is diligent. One thing I don’t understand is that I saw a calico kitten locked inside the hotel restaurant two days in a row. I’m not sure whether it is the hotel’s cat or just a stray. It looks clean and well-fed, though. I hope it’s the hotel’s cat and that it’s kept inside for its own safety.”

„The experience of staying in Luoyang this time was great! The rooms are spacious and tidy, the decoration is simple and atmospheric, and the overall is warm and comfortable. Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel.
The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space)
The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in

I recently stayed at See You Homestay Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable — just a few steps away from major tourist attractions and surrounded by numerous restaurants and hanfu rental shops. It’s also tucked away in a quiet area, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Luoyang.
The convenience of nearby shops and eateries was a huge plus. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a more traditional meal, you'll find plenty of options just outside the door.
In terms of value, the cost was more than reasonable for the high-quality stay we received. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. I was especially impressed by the integration of AI technology in the room, which added a modern touch to the experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The owner was genuinely kind and welcoming — he helped carry our luggage to the room and was always ready to assist with a smile. His knowledge of Luoyang's history added a personal and enriching touch to our trip. What truly stood out was his thoughtfulness: knowing that guests would be tired from sightseeing, he personally designed the beds and pillows, and I can honestly say they were more comfortable than those in many high-end hotels.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend See You Homestay Hotel to anyone visiting Luoyang. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality.

周边商铺和美食应有尽有，走几步就能找到各种餐厅，无论是小吃还是正餐都非常方便。
住宿的性价比非常高，价格合理，服务和质量远超预期。我们的房间宽敞干净，设施现代，还配有AI智能科技，住起来非常舒适。
特别要表扬的是这里的老板非常热情好客，不仅亲自帮我们把行李提到房间，还非常友善、健谈，对洛阳的历史也非常了解，给我们讲了很多有趣的故事。他非常体贴，考虑到游客在外奔波一天肯定会很疲惫，所以亲自设计了床垫和枕头，舒适度远胜许多连锁大品牌酒店。
我一定会再次选择入住，也会向朋友们强烈推荐这家酒店。如果你来洛阳旅游，回见民宿酒店绝对是不二之选！

GGośćThe family rooms we booked were huge with 2 big bedrooms plus a smaller one which was a great play area for the kids. It had heating/cooling in each room that we could adjust ourselves. Beds were comfortable and the duvets were nice and thick. Only drawback was that it had no mini fridge. And there is no elevator so you do need to climb up some flights of stairs. I communicated with the manager by WeChat translation. There was always someone waiting for us when we got back which was so reassuring for a homestay - they made sure we were safe and even checked on our payment for our ride.
Location was down an alleyway right across from Yongtianmen - it was a bit of a walk from the metro station and too narrow for vehicle access. Instead we found it so convenient to use the 3 wheeled tuk tuks which could send us up to the doorstep. Cost was between 10-20 CNY. The street was lined with hanfu shops and many little convenience stores where we could buy snacks and the cold drinks we wanted. Strangely we could not get cold beer! They said it was not the season yet for col
Overall we had a great stay! It was a chance to experience living in a local community which was different from the usual hotel experience.

Even with English I could text and book the taxi ride the day before arrival (SMS & WeChat). Also offered free snacks in the room. Also they helped me in identifying places to visit as Laojun mountain is closed for foreigners (I did not know before arriving). Longmen Grottoes is very close, you can walk there! Also there are busses connecting well with the Longmen city. The lady at the reception was helpful answering all my questions via WeChat as it translated the messages automatically.

JJosh_mnWe had a great experience staying in the room type with two large beds and one bunker bed. We booked this room kinda expecting the bunker bed to excite our 4 and 7 yo and it definitely proved so. Room is clean, AC is great. The breakfast (made free with a trip.com promotion) is quite a treat. Even some might prefer hot coffee but honestly I cannot complain much with the offer of a hard boiled egg, two potstickers, one pcs of corn, millet congee, etc. The staffs are all responsive and ready to help with request like additional towels/bottled water/breakfast food. The owners had a friendly puppy called “fanfan”on site too. At the end of our trip one of the co-owners used his motorcycles to carry a heavy suitcase to the place we booked our taxi and as we can see they ride people to metro station as well. The location is just a short (maybe 100m) walk from the South Gate of Luoyi Ancient City. We took a night walking into Luoyi Ancient City from the north gate after eating dinner in one of the busiest places known for its street food and getting out of South Gate knowing the hotel is just minutes away. Would definitely recommend this one to others who want to stay near Luoyi Ancient City area.
