⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) is more than just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Xiamen, this is truly one of the best choices: a 3-star property delivering 5-star service and comfort. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too. The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay. The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself. Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open. The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc. In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

I had a great stay in this property, got the room for a very affordable price, the location is very accessible to all, there is a mall, coffee shop, restaurant and convenience store downstairs and also the room had a nice view. The host is very accommodating, they have a cleaning service everyday and most importantly for me is the cleanliness of the room, the room is well maintained that's why i felt comfortable on my entire stay. Overall the stay is really good as the price is reasonable, location is very convenient to walking and eating street. However, it's a bit difficult to locate as it only has a small counter in building.. The rooms are decently clean though the view is building rooftop and the water basin tap is leaking, making the room a bit wet... U may need to bring own towel if u r not used to disposable ones.. In conclusion, it's a decent room and yes, we will stay again n recommend this homestay to others..

這家酒店位於的雙子塔的裏面，絕對是廈門的地標，四周被廈門大學包圍，和南普陀也很近。特別適合旅遊居住的地方，也狠出片。因為視野無敵了，在景觀上沒有比這個酒店更適合的了。站在落地大玻璃前面，夜景和白天都超讚的。室內的佈局也很舒適，沙發椅子都很多，空間還很大，還有冰箱是一體化的裝修在壁櫃裏。很適合家庭出遊帶着孩子，也可以像我一樣一個人來，這次住了個雙床房，另一張床放行李也蠻不錯。（主要是我訂的晚、就剩下這個房型了）老闆人很好，服務小哥幫我把行李帶到樓上。室內乾淨，推薦啊。

First a warning, this is not a hotel but more like an AirBnB. So if you are looking for hotel services such as a reception, lounge, breakfast, etc, it is not for you. Once you arrive you need to ask two ladies there at the entrance to contact the owners of the place to come and give you the code, etc. Rather unusual experience but it works. Having this clear, this is a very good option for accommodation in Xiamen. The most magnificent part is the amazing view. The same view that the 5 star Conrad hotel has next door for one fifth of the cost. The place is ulta clean which is the second best thing. Sparking clean and very well designed room. The battub in front of the window gives you an unforgottable experience. You can open a bottle of wine or make tea and enjoy bathing looking scenery for hours. Next thing is very good service, when I requested couple of things they came to my room rather quickly and helped with my request with a very positive attitude. Finally, it is very good for money, the location is great for this price. You are literally next door to one of the most luxurious hotels of Xiamen. There are many dining opportunities of middle level around and you are also close to the ferry port for the Gunggu island. Last, I want to give some recommendations to the owners: the onlyt thing i can criticse is the lack of a portable thing for hanging my clothes. The hangers on the walls were not enough. Next, it would be great if you would leave couple of tea bags and maybe also instant coffee in the room. It would cost you little and would make the guests stay in the room rather than going out for it. You can also modernise the airconditioner output. It is fine as it is but could be more aesthetic and also better controllable. A little desk (in addition to a portable dress hanger) would also make you attract business travellers. Overall I recommend the place and I would stay here again next time.

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

Quiet place, huge bedroom and toilet. You get what you pay, recommended. Across yatch club and park. Just abit far from city and local dinning.

Really grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
