„The place is very worth visiting. The room is good equipped, everything is like on the photo. The host and stuff is very friendly by helping with luggage but the international tourists should be aware that the communication with host is available only be telephone in Chinese. It is necessary even for check-in and check-out. It can be not so easy. We were expected to get a little bit more information but you can get help only if you approach the host directly. It is easier to arrive because there are a lot of cars on the station in Xinjie, but it is more complicated to get back to the station. But it is possible to catch a car directly on the road for 30-40 yuan pro person. There are only few restaurants in the walking distance. A lot depends on the weather, without good weather the view is sadly very limited. Before arriving is recommended to take a look in the weather forecast!!”

The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area. The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery. The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this. Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!”

The hotel is in the Duoyishu village, which will help you see average life of people living in that village. More that that, the guesthouse is right in front of Duoyishu rice terraces, so you can watch the sunrise from your roof. I have watched the sunrise from both my roof and the official viewing spot, and the viewing experience from the roof was so much more comfortable and good, because there are always a lot of people at the viewing spot, but there is only you on the roof. And the view is almost the same. The rice terraces are 5 minutes from the guesthouse, so anyone can go explore them an then come back home. Second: staff and services. The main hall is suuuper beautiful and cozy and you can order there food even quite late. The food was very tasty and not expensive. Jacky is one of the best people you will ever meet. There you will see a solar collector. This means that there is hot water in the evening, but not in the winter mornings. It's cold here in the mountains in December at night, but thanks to the use of the electric bed heater and the heating fan, I didn't get cold. The hosts are kind and accommodating.”

„Well situated place in duoyishu village. The place is quiet and peaceful, and you can go down to the rice paddies by following the road down. The hostel is rather basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Hot drinking water provided and the dorm has an attached bathroom with seat toilet! That was really great for me. The owner is a friendly and approachable guy. Helped me with bus booking to jiashui from xinjie. Also helped me to get my transport in the morning back to Xinjie. Photos show the areas and restaurants nearby as I forgot to take pictures of the hostel itself.”

本次入住非常滿意，因為我們一家都比較懶散，本來計劃到了就躺平，早上看看日出就行，結果下午到了停車場，老闆小羅直接開車帶我們出去，都是去的非官方地，看到了漂亮的梯田，色彩完美，還去了私人的看日落的地方。晚餐老闆家的餐廳味道非常棒！香茅排骨強烈推薦！！！（老闆記得發做法給我哦）早上日出房間就可以看，我們去了樓頂，有雲海運氣超好！全程服務非常貼心，情緒價值也滿滿，幫我們一家拍了很多好看的合影！民宿就在梯田第一排，位置好！

This hotel was really nice, super well located and with nice views to the terraces. Very close to the main terraces and view points, and some traditional restaurants and the village, you can go there by foot since its not far. The rooms were new, modern and extremely clean. Breakfast was very nice noodles and sweet rice, the one grown in the area! Sunrise was spectacular even though it was foggy. The pace of the surroundings made it extra special 🤩✨ What we loved the most about this hotel was the staff. They were so sweet, friendly and helpful! We were lend some traditional clothes that the staff in the hotel borrowed and took some cool pictures. We loved to stay here, and highly recommend it 😊🙏

We had a lovely stay at Flowers Residence. They have a friendly resident cat too. The owner Sam is giving some good recommendations and helped us with tickets to platforms and other sightseeing too. He showed us a restaurant nearby and they have a lovely big dog, Capu. We extended our stay because of bad weather. Im glad we did coz we managed to get a beautiful sunrise and see beautiful terrace the next day. Would return again.

Location: good location on the main street. Closed to Pugao town and closed to the rice terrace. A couple of family restaurants near by. Room was big with nice shower and comfortable beds. TV was working although difficult to find basic channels (not paying). Hotel itself does not have amenities. Chinese Breakfast was included. It was delicious (noodles. Boiled egg. Mini breads and some kind of dumplings filled with rice) Only remark was that they did not provide bottle of water on second night. Staff: very friendly and helpful.

Pokój był wyjątkowo czysty; chociaż to starszy obiekt, wcale nie wyglądał na stary. Pościel była bardzo wygodna, a koce miękkie i ciepłe, więc spałem bardzo dobrze. Pokoje nie są przestronne, ale wystarczająco duże, z Wi-Fi, krzesłami, stołem i prywatną łazienką. Brak tarasu na dachu i widoku z hotelu. Ładny ogród, pomoc w przeniesieniu bagaży z parkingu do hotelu (5 minut spacerem po schodach). Serwują bardzo dobre jedzenie w niższej cenie niż w innych restauracjach. Brak klimatyzacji i ogrzewania, ale są koce grzewcze, grzejnik pod prysznicem i ciepła woda.

We loved it here! We had a great time in Pugao, and this was mainly due to our great host Alice! She speaks English very well, and helped us a lot with getting around town. She recommended two very nice hikes, where we crossed multiple villages, and had beautiful rice terrace views without any other tourists. It is good to note that not all of the pictures on trip.com are accurate, as the timeless hostel is currently under renovation. She has two rooms available now, which makes it feel more like a homestay than a hostel. The address is not exactly accurate, but Alice will contact you in advance to help you find the place.

The location is very good, walking distance to the terraces! The room is very good, and it matches the photos and descriptions, but the service was almost non-existent. When we arrived we were received only by kids and a teenager checked us in. No adults were seen on site until the last day of our 3-day stay. On our first morning, we were woken up by a couple trying to enter our room because the kids had checked them in and gave them the key to our room! It was supposed to have breakfast included, but there was no one there to even ask about it. Internet did not work 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Neither did the hot water. I understand that some of these things might be because it's off-season, but if they can't offer services like breakfast, they should not include it in the hotel description.

I had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops. The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. For only 70 RMB he drove me in other scenic areas both in the morning and in the afternoon and waited for me as long as I needed to (we went to Bada rice terraces, which is famous for the sunset, and he waited for me for more than two hours). He offered me food, tea and helped me to arrange my way back to the bus station in Nansha (南沙). The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and it was possible to warm it using an electric blanket. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
