First time to Bangkok. Room/ place: It's a small boutique hotel, very colourful inside. Take note no lifts available. Check in time hotel staff helped to carry up luggages. If you bought a lot of things might be challenging to climb down the stairs. Room type in my opinion is studio shoebox size, small. Service: good. Cleaning done once every two days. Basic amenities like toiletries towel water given. Location: very very good. Walking distance to Siam BTS/ Siam district and also Ratchethewi BTS. Approx 10m walk to Platinum Fashion mall/ Centralworld etc Others: order grab if after 10 main gates will be closed can only ask driver put outside main gate. Overall satisfied 3 days stay

I honestly regret not staying here when I was in Thailand! I only booked a room for a few hours to store my luggage before my 1am flight, but wow, this place is top tier. Everything smells fresh, the entire hostel is spotless, and the sheets are the whitest I’ve ever seen. They even have a system where you leave your shoes outside to keep everything extra clean, and it really shows. I’m not kidding… this hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely recommend Monomer Hostel to anyone visiting Bangkok!

The neighborhood is awful, smells like fish. I think even the taxi driver was scared when he arrived. This was my first time in a hostel. The bedding was clean, the air inside was fresh, and the staff were polite. I asked for an early check-in, and they accommodated me without extra charge because I really needed to sleep. It was comfortable to sleep, and there were no drunkards or unruly people, just young and decent guests. A bed for one night cost 500 rubles, which is perfect just for sleeping.

Ostatnio miło było pobyć w tym hotelu, i nie mogłem być bardziej pod wrażeniem. Najpierw planowano na 1 noc, ale przedłużono 1 więcej. Położenie jest absolutnie niepokonaneprosto w samym sercu miasta, z łatwym dostępem do najlepszych atrakcji, restauracji i transportu publicznego. Czy jesteś tu na interesach, czy na wypoczynek, znajdziesz wszystko, czego potrzebujesz zaledwie kilka kroków. Jednakże, co naprawdę uczyniło moje pobyt niezwykle przydatny, uważny i naprawdę chętny do pomocy. Od check-in do check-out, ich ciepła gościnność sprawiła, że czuję się jak w domu. Najwyraźniej satysfakcja gości jest tu priorytetem. Wysoko polecany dla każdego, kto szuka komfortu, wygody i wybitnej usługi!

The hotel i believe need major renovation as it is old already although it is clean and the CR is i think newly renovated on my room. Service is average but the reception is nice and helpful. She (Judy) can speak good english and show me where the short direction going to Phya Thai BTS station (thru the train tracks). For location, it is far as it is located at the far end of the street. Around 15-20min walk from Platinum and 10min walk from main Pratuman market. It is quite an walking exercise if you would not mind since i think it is the cheapest hotel in that area (if not one of the cheapest).

Lokalizacja jest niesamowita. Rozmiar łóżka jest czysty, każdy i wszystko jest najlepsze. Ale myślę, że recepcjonistka musi być 24/7. I jeszcze jedno, o północy jest ciemno na zewnątrz, więc trochę obawiam się oszustwa/kradzieży. I ostatnia rzecz, gniazdka do ładowania musi być więcej. Ponieważ w akademiku ludzie podróżują samotnie, mają wiele rzeczy do pobrania. Ogólny stosunek jakości do ceny.

Overall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)

Było dobrze, pokój jest w porządku, rzeczy są ładne, ale za dużo śmieci na recepcji...? Nawet nie wiesz, jak oni to wszystko poukładali. To będzie rozpraszać pierwszych gości. I trudno się przedzierać przez wszystkie bagaże, wszędzie pełno toreb i pudeł... Pierwszy raz widzę taki hotel.

Merry V Guesthouse is located in the 'extension' street of Khao San Road. Good location. It's very, very basic. Just a small room with a bed. The bed is hard and the pillow was very hard. When I requested at the reception to provide me a softer pillow, it was refused. In the room there are many big open windows (there is no glass, just mosquito gaze) on the upper part, which are not covered by curtains (see photo) and light/might disturb you. The Thai ******* in the next room was inconsiderate and unrespectful. Talking as lot and music from mobile. It's not the hotel's fault, because the put signs everywhere 'don't make noise, others are sleeping'. But it was overall OK. A private room for a small amount of money. Thanks! 🙏

The shared bathrooms were consistently clean throughout my stay, with good water pressure and hot showers, which is always a big plus for a budget hostel. Location-wise, Ploy Hostel is very convenient. It’s close to public transportation, local restaurants, convenience stores, and several attractions. Getting around the city was incredibly easy, and I felt safe walking in the area both day and night. Overall, Ploy Hostel offers great value for money. It’s a comfortable, affordable, and reliable place to stay for solo travelers, backpackers, or anyone looking for a friendly and relaxing environment. The staff’s kindness, the clean facilities, and the convenient location all made my stay enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
