A popular kayaking activity from the cottage is to explore the island that is 500 yards from the dock. It’s a short kayak trip for any level of experience. The lake is generally pretty quiet, so there is little threat of other boaters, jet skis or water skiers. Many options for Family EatingAt the cottage there are multiple ways to feed the family. Full kitchen with stove and toaster oven to bake, broil, roast and toast. There is also a weber grill available for cooking outside. For the adventurous, there is a grate for over the camp-fire cooking. Seating available both indoors and outdoors allowing for plenty of space to enjoy a family meal.Swimming is great either right off of the dock or out a ways depending on age of the swimmers. There will be a lily pad available for the kids to use either off of the dock or out in open water. The bottom is mostly sand with a few rocks here and there. A rowboat and paddle boat are available for use. While not a premier fishing destination, previous guests have enjoyed dropping a line for leisure. Water is clean for swimming and there is a pier; however, there is no sandy beach.
