Set about 300 yards off the street, our home is conveniently located just 3 miles from Live Oak. It is surrounded by 200+ acres of commercial timberland and old-growth, upland hardwood forest.On the same property we have two additional VRBO homes. Booked together we can host a total of 25 Guests! One is next door (300' away), the other is a 1 mile drive. The home has been updated with central Heat & AC, WiFi (17+ Mbps), and 4 Smart HDTVs that stream online content. Guests will have access to the entire home other than 2 closets secured with deadbolt locks and marked "Owners Closet."Our neighborhood is quiet and is not on a commercial street or main highway. The street begins 2 miles away in a residential subdivision in town and ends about a mile past our home.There is a state managed public lake less than a mile away that has fishing piers, a boat ramp, and plenty of parking space. Suwannee Lake was temporarily closed for a couple of years for renovations but has now reopened. Don't expect to water ski here, at 63 acres its more a fishing pond with quite a few cypress tress.Our rural community has no public transportation. There is taxi service and an uncontrolled general aviation airport (24J) with one paved 4000' runway about 6 miles away. A Greyhound bus terminal is about 22 miles away in Lake City. Closest commercial airports are, Valdosta, Ga, 50 mi.; Gainesville, Fl., 68 mi.; Jacksonville, Fl., 90 mi.; Tallahassee, Fl., 95 mi.; Orlando, 185 mi.; and Tampa 200 mi. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with everything you will need. The fall/winter weather is absolutely beautiful with clear crisp days and cool evenings. There is a hiking paths and within 15 minutes from the house, guests can go antiquing, hiking, and visiting nearby parks and recreation areas during the day. In the evening guests can sit by a cozy bonfire and roast marshmallows or oysters while enjoying their favorite beverage. The spring/summer is all about playing in the water. The springs have a year round water temp of 74 degrees so a lot of people enjoy tubing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving and anything else a person would want to do in spring-fed rivers. The cabin is secluded and quiet with access to the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe Rivers. We even furnish Tubes. There are numerious deer, turkeys, and Raccoons in the area. Guests will have full access to the house and surrounding area. The house is equipped with wireless internet. There are miles of quiet roads for walking or biking and access to several state parks with river access. Wildlife is abundant and the fishing is great. Bring your golf cart! You can also set up a tent outside if you have additional guest. There is a BBQ grill at the Cabin so bring some steaks and enjoy a private cook out with nature. There is also a large grate that you can put over the fire pit and you can roast oysters or clams. The house also has two pull out couches in the great room.There is fire wood available at all the stores in Branford.Please note that we are on a river that sometimes rises. At time the water will be high enough that in covers the dock and is well up into the back yard. We actually love it like this as the water is clear, clean and beautiful. A few of the springs are: Little River Springs (my favorite), Ichetucknee springs, Ginnie Springs, Royal spring, Rum Island(my favorite to paddle-board), Hart springs, Blue Springs, Poe springs and so many more. Set up a nice evening fire or grill out on the spacious patio. We also have a projector available for movie nights under the stars with outdoor lounge chairs (my families favorite). If you like staying in, try out the new spa style tub with candle lights!
