Booking Anqiu Residence among all the B&Bs in Dali was truly our good fortune. The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and it's a Bai-style courtyard that's incredibly quiet. The cleanliness goes without saying – it's super clean, and the bedding and other daily necessities are all carefully selected. We had a very comfortable stay here. The owner is also exceptionally kind; they would wait for us to return before closing the outer gate, even when we left early and came back late. The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared, and in the afternoon, they'd even provide fruit and a goodnight dessert. I love this kind of refined, carefully managed B&B. I believe no one who stays here wouldn't like it~

Hotel as advertised. If you like the proximity to both the ancient town and Shuanglang, the location is perfect. As it is a small establishment, the staff are very attentive and easy to reach via Weixin prior to check in. During our stay they had also proactively offered afternoon snacks, mid night sweet soup AND your breakfast preference the following day. The room is very spacous with 2 sides of the 'walls' replaced woth ceiling to floor glass. However, do be informed that the toilets and shower doors are transparent 🙈

This is probably one of the best hotels my family and I have stayed in. Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—staff greeted me warmly at the pick-up point and efficiently transported me to the hotel via buggy. They kindly prepared the room early so I could check in ahead of time and rest. The location is breathtaking, with a stunning view overlooking Erhai. Waking up to the sunrise right in front of the lake was unforgettable, and the hotel even has a rooftop deck where I could enjoy the view in a peaceful, open setting. One of the highlights of my stay was the coffee—rich, beautifully presented, and complimentary. It was honestly one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. The staff were consistently positive, engaging, and incredibly helpful. They assisted me with everything I needed, including booking an e-scooter through their local app since I didn’t have a Chinese number. They went out of their way to help, never once showing any reluctance or frustration. My room was spotless and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches like a water dispenser and humidifier that made my stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, heartwarming, and clearly prepared with care. There are a few small improvements that could elevate the experience even further: a small bench to sit on while putting on shoes, a jacket hanger near the entrance, and blinds that could be adjusted to a half-height setting rather than just fully open or closed. That said, these are minor details in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. This was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

My entire stay was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and communicated with a gentle and patient demeanor. They proactively informed me about hotel amenities and gave helpful tips for local attractions. Their efficiency was impressive. The room was spotlessly clean, the environment was quiet, and I had a very high-quality rest. You could feel the attention to detail in every aspect, and the value for money was great. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in the area.

Yuntang znajduje się w pobliżu bramy Erhai starożytnego miasta Dali, więc kierowcy mogą łatwo wysadzić samochód (ale drogi starożytnego miasta są bardzo wąskie i łatwo można utknąć w korku). Lokalizacja hotelu jest dobra, ponieważ jest dostępny dla wielu sklepów i nie jest daleko spacerem do alejki. Na szczęście w pokoju nie było słychać zbyt wiele hałasu, mimo że starożytne miasto może być bardzo ruchliwe i głośne, szczególnie w niektórych restauracjach i sklepach. Dostaliśmy bezpłatną aktualizację do większego pokoju, który jest bardzo przestronny i przypomina willę w kurorcie wypoczynkowym. Jest czysty i wygodny, z uroczym kącikiem do picia herbaty, który może służyć również jako miejsce do odłożenia bagażu. Podawane śniadanie jest domowe i pocieszające. Pozwolono nam zostawić bagaże po wymeldowaniu i usiąść w części na 1. piętrze, która ma kilka przytulnych miejsc do siedzenia. Podobał nam się nasz pobyt i polecamy!

忘記拍圖了，房間很大很漂亮，早上可以曬太陽。 民宿在古城裡，但是不會太鬧市區，晚上很安靜。打車也能直接到民宿門口，出去逛也近。 大浴缸泡澡很舒服，空調有制熱功能，電熱毯。 着重表揚店家小哥，有事隨問立馬就有回覆。還借給我們電瓶車。

I truly enjoyed my stay here — to the point that I honestly had no heart to leave. The only downside is that the homestay is a little far from Dali Old Town, but once you see the view, you’ll realize it is absolutely worth it. The service here is top-notch. The butlers were exceptional — very accommodating, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. One thoughtful gesture that really touched me was when they packed my breakfast the night before, knowing I had to check out early the next morning. The photography session was another highlight. The photographers were so professional and amazing that I ended up purchasing all the photos, which says a lot about how happy I was with the experience. I will definitely come back again — and next time, I hope to stay longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views, and genuinely warm service.

Very nice owners and spacious room. We even got hot milk in the evening and plenty of drinks to stay hydrated and they helped us carry the suitcases. The room and hot tub itself is really nice, but the view shown on the booking itself is not the same as the real view. I attached a picture taken there to show you the real view. You can still see the pagoda, but note that it is hardly visibly in the dark (no lights on it) and there is an electricity cable in front of it, which makes the view less. For the rest the stay has been really nice and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, so I would really recommend it.
