We were only able to stay at Mulan.Huayue for a couple of nights but my son and I did enjoy our stay very much for several reasons. First, the owners are very welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating - even for two visitors who were a bit tired and grumpy after a long trip! Second, the accommodation itself is very beautifully laid out, and the attention to detail and design including the incorporation of traditional style with modern updates is notable. Third, the water town is charming, quiet after hours, and so relaxing to stroll around. The shops are cute and lovely. We sadly did not have enough time to fully check it out! So sorry. Fourth, all in all, this charming water town being so close to Suzhou and Shanghai makes it a wonderful option for travelers looking to get a rest from the big cities. Thank you!

This trip is travel with my friends, group of travellers who are very particular with accommodation, high expectations. This hotel really out of expectations, very high tech, and great services. Nice environment, strongly recommended

Very new Hotel, location just opposite of shopping mall. It easy to get Taxi to get around, also not too far away from Kunshan South.

Ciągle mówili głupie rzeczy w chińskim, zakładając, że nie rozumiemy. Żyję w Chinach od 6 lat i ostatnim razem, kiedy byłem w domu, był luty 2023. Czytają oni tę datę i mówią, że to było niewłaściwe, choć wyraźnie pokazuje, że wszedłem ponownie do Chin po wakacjach na datę. Mimo to nadal cieszyliśmy się pobytem. Muszę pochwalić personel na śniadanie. Zawsze uśmiechali się w przeciwieństwie do tych kobiet na recepcji. Chciałyśmy zarezerwować ponownie w dwa tygodnie, ale może to przemyśleć.

I am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me. The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs. Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful. Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy. As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels. In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

Because it’s located within the scenic zone, you may need to park outside and walk in—but once you arrive, it’s pure tranquility. In short, Zhouzhuang Scholars Boutique Hotel is elegant, peaceful, and full of character. Ideal for couples, families, and anyone wanting to truly experience the beauty of Zhouzhuang. Highly recommended!

The hotel is great , the staff and environment was very friendly and welcoming . The butler (溪地小清) always made sure that we have everything that we needed and that the communication between us was fluently and made the trip go smoothly. The food was good and very delicious the portions is very generous. The places around the hotel is also good and a great experience for foreigners very welcoming and a great place for children. There is tons of activities and food places to see. The only improvement is to maybe add a mini fridge in the rooms to keep the drinks cool. Other than that the place is a great experience and scenery relaxing would recommend foreigners to try it out. I would definitely go back again

Spacious room & comfortable bed with different type of pillows to suit you( soft & hard). Room cleanliness slightly lacking as there were stain marks on the wash basin tiles. Front desk service was speedy & staff are friendly. Location within walking distance to Kunshanan railway. Have to be sure your room not facing the railway station. The front desk was kind to allocate my request if the room not facing the railway station. Thank you. Breakfast was good especially the wanton soup. Overall the hotel is clean & comfortable hotel away from the city center but convenient to travel around Suzhou.

Checked in at 22:00 Hrs. I have booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and 1 child. When I went to check in, the receptionish said there is no staff to add an extra bed even if we pay for it. It was very disappointing to hear at 10pm in such a good hotel there is no one to arrange an extra bed. Check in experience was very horrible, they allocated the 2 rooms in separate floors when I specifically mentioned I needed adjacent rooms or rooms in the same floor. And then I had to come back again where one of their managers who was relaxing all this time came and got this done. disappointing experience. Hotel was very nice, the surroundings were very good, definitely need more attentive and trained staff who can think of customer experience.
