It was a wonderful experience. We got to stay at the most expensive room. The room was spacious having two bathrooms and a big bathtub. From the room, we got to see the panoramic view of the village. First and foremost, the service was excellent. There was a welcome drink and fruit, as well as rice cakes after coming back to the hotel. The staff helped us to carry our luggage to the bus stop too.

I booked this hotel as I had read good reviews. Indeed this B&B is impressive. The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. There is even a bathtub next to the window with a view. You will need to contact the hotel owner prior to arrival at the village so that a porter will meet you at No. 6 风雨桥, which is located about 100 meters where the shuttle bus drop you at the entrance to the village. You will not be able to find your way to the hotel as the entrance to the hotel is rather hidden away. The two young chaps who picked us were extremely polite, cheerful and eager to serve. They carried our luggages where we walked to reach the station of a golf cart type of vehicle. You board the vehicle and alight at the first stop up the mountain (see picture 6). The simple breakfast fare of home-cooked noodle soup with minced pork, hard boiled egg, sweet corn and sweet potato was delicious. The soup base looked bland but it was very tasty. The location of this B&B is superb as you can walk down the slope to reach the village center in 10 minutes. Tip: we took the golf cart vehicle and travelled uphill and alighted at the end (Pastoral Sightseeing area) where there is roundabout for the vehicle to loop back to the terminal. It is recommended to alight here where you will see beautiful vast green pastures and lotus flowers were in bloom. You can then wait for the sightseeing bus (your entrance ticket would cover four sightseeing bus trips) at the opposite platform and it will bring you to the top viewing platform to see the whole village lighted up in the evening. To return to the hotel, you then take the sightseing bus back to the Pastoral Sightseeing area. From here you wait for the golf cart vehicle to transfer you back to the hotel. How I wish someone had posted these information on this Trip.com review platform as it was a bit confusing on how to take the different vehicles in the mountain. Lastly, thank you to the owner of this B&B for making our trip a memorable one.

The place was amazing, I just loved it. I picked the room with the bathtub in the balcony and it was an amazing experience. The staff spoke basic English but they were very helpful and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The views were breathtaking, the room was well equipped and the breakfast was interesting (Chinese). If you want to enjoy your stay here please take my following tips into consideration: - Leave your luggage at Kaili station or at the tourist center and take only the necessary time terms for your stay because you’ll have to take 2 buses and walk uphill on uneven stairs to come to this hotel (which doesn’t have elevators so more stairs to get to your room) it will be just hectic, so store your luggage and come here lightweight. - Try to get in touch with the hotel before you arrive or connect with them via WeChat as the hotel is hard to find when you get off the bus at the stop, they will pick you up and take you to the hotel much is a few minutes aways. - I was the first foreigner to stay here, as an international tourist, I’m sure you’ll love the place but keep in mind only a few people speak English here and the signs are in English and hotel staff will communicate using translator, it’s easy but be prepared - keep in mind that the breakfast is Chinese not western so it includes noodles and vegetables no coffee here. Met by 小杰 at the East gate ticketing hall. He escorted me to the hotel carrying my luggage. Along the way, he gave an overall first hand information on the Miao village. Upon arrival , a hot drink was offered as it was very cold outside. 小兴briefed me on the places of interest, activities of the village and how to move around with the help of the shuttle bus. All the 小哥哥,小姐姐 are super nice, well versed at their works besides delivering their jobs professionally. The selling point of this hotel is the location; just a bit below the viewing platform, the view is superb. You don't need to rub shoulders with other tourists but you have the view to yourself. Thanks to 小杰, 小兴, 小丽 and another 小哥(whom I don't know his name) for their 5-star service rendered to me during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit the Miao village.

One of the most perfect stays I ever stayed at!😍 the view from my room was absolutely astonishing that it felt like Ai not real life😭😍 The hotel staff and management are amazing in helping with directions and the luggage. The hotel itself is located in the higher section of the village. So if you come do pack light and if you are an international traveler, like myself, with heavy luggage don’t worry there is a luggage storage at the entrance of the north gate✨ Have fun exploring

Xijiang is undergoing major construction phase. Access from the viewing deck to the hotel is a tiny horrendous narrow steep dirt alley with physical encounter with ponies used for hauling building materials. A new hotel is under construction right next door and screeching of drills and banging of hammer started promptly at 7am. White painted room decorated by light colour elegant furniture provide a lively zen ambiance. Uneven surfaces at the entrance, breakfast bench and parts of the room resulted in a few trips and stumble. Modern and top grade amenities, toilet suites and voice activated commands took a little use to but very convenient. Breakfast was a choice between boiled rice noodle or spaghetti with a heart shaped froed egg in the bowl and another hard boiled on the serving tray. Tit bits and free beer prepaed for afternoon tea was extended to mid night cap. Appreciated most of all were the free porterage of our luggage through the steep alleys of the famous hillsides to and from our room.

The bedroom is new n the location is good if you can climb up thirty staircases. The service is very good n help you to bring the luggages up n down from the Xiao Bei men. Good for young couple but not suitable for old couple or disabled people.

Very good view and helpful staff. They arrange for people to help pick us up from 小北门and help carry the luggage. As it is non peak season, they upgrade us to a room with balcony. The view was stunning. Can see the whole view from room balcony so don’t need to go to the 观景台。They also provide the 苗族costume free. So my wife wear it and took pictures from our room balcony.

Excellent overall....beautiful hotel, room view, good location customer service, simple breakfast but serving with delicious local soup noodle. Highly recommended.

Even though the check-in time was quite late, the host kindly guided us through WeChat Messenger from the taxi pick-up at Kailinan Railway Station(凯里南站) all the way to the b&b! Even though it was 1 AM, a very late hour, they took us for a walk around the area and used a translation app to explain everything to us in detail, making sure we understood. They even lent us a power bank since our battery was running low. As soon as we entered the b&b, we were impressed by how clean and hygienic everything was, especially the bathroom and shower, which are areas we are most sensitive about. The amenities provided were more than sufficient. The view from the accommodation was also fantastic, with the location being close to an observation deck, offering beautiful views at all times. We also had free water and beverages in the fridge. The host kindly reminded us not to miss breakfast and served pho and snacks that were light and easy to enjoy in the morning. The warm soy milk in the winter was a nice touch. After check-out, we had another chance to explore the area. The host kindly stored our heavy luggage for us, which was very thoughtful. Finally, they explained the way to Kailin South Station and even saw us off. It’s not easy to travel in this area even for locals, but thanks to the host’s thoughtful care and attention for us, two foreigners, our Guiyang trip became a very enjoyable experience. If we visit Guiyang again, we will definitely stay here.
