It’s fine but not remarkable — limited options, and a bit disappointing since there’s a full restaurant on-site that serves meals later in the day. Not a big issue, but worth noting. Room amenities are quite mixed. I stayed in two different studio rooms - both had some unexpected conveniences like full utensils, a washing machine, and an oven, but oddly no TV or couch. Service is also limited: check-in is self-service, and staff are only available during certain hours. It’s definitely a lower service level than most hotels I’ve stayed at elsewhere, though perhaps that’s typical for Finland or this price range. Overall, it’s not a bad stay by any means. If you’re here for work and want a practical base in the area, it’s a solid option - just come with the right expectations.

The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the central train station and within walking distance to all the city's popular attractions. The room layout is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide range of dining options. The service and staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming! We especially enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, which was open until 10pm, allowing us to enjoy dinner at the end of a day of sightseeing, and the food was delicious. We ate in the restaurant three times during our three night stay at the hotel, as the food was really excellent and the very professional staff there, Carina, was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing. I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip. Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest. Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion. Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity. In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you

The location is 230M walk outside the airport. As the snow on the pavement can be deep. It will make this short walk a bit difficult. The check-in, luggage storage, and check out services were all efficiently arranged. The room is reasonably specious. Amenities are basic. There are a 2 in 1 shampoo+body wash, and a conditioner. There was a hair dryer but no kettle.food choices in the buffet breakfast were reasonably rich. As an airport hotel, it has a checkin kiosk in the lobby.

The hotel is within walking distance from the main railway station, making it easy to get around the city, and it is located right in the city center, close to shopping areas and attractions. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, with a positive attitude and genuine smiles, which makes the stay more pleasant. Breakfast is varied and interesting, with a good selection of food to start the day. However, it closes a bit early — breakfast ends at 10:00 AM, which may feel slightly rushed for guests who prefer a more relaxed morning. The room is comfortable and warm, which is especially important during cold weather. Bathroom amenities are mostly complete, but toothbrushes and razors are not provided, which would be a nice addition for a hotel at this level. Aside from that, other amenities are well-prepared and sufficient. Overall, Scandic Simonkenttä offers a comfortable stay, excellent location, and good service. With a few small improvements, especially regarding bathroom amenities and breakfast hours, it would be an even better experience.

The room we were assigned does not have a window. So, no natural light nor air. It has a huge column in the middle (1 meter of diameter), reducing the free movement in it. Very uncomfortable. In addition, there was no television, but a beamer with a big screen (no instructions to use available). All in all, the bedroom was clean but far from the standards one expects in this type of 4-star hotels. We arrived very late at night for the check-in at the reception and we were not asked or informed about these room conditions. We did not request the change of room as it was so late and we were tired after a very long trip.

It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option. The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries. The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM. Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.

Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and offered very good quality for the price. The rooms were modern, well-designed, and spotless. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and everything felt neat and thoughtfully arranged. After long days exploring the city, it was a great place to rest and recharge. We also loved the hotel’s unique design and cozy atmosphere—it felt modern but still warm and welcoming. The common areas were spacious and nicely decorated, perfect for relaxing or chatting together as a group. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and key attractions in Helsinki. Breakfast was another highlight: good variety, fresh ingredients, and a nice Scandinavian touch that our group really enjoyed. Overall, Scandic Paasi delivered exactly what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, and high-quality hotel experience. We would definitely recommend it to friends and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Helsinki.
