An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy. Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home. This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date. After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel. It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us. Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can. Rooms are good but the amenities are not there. We didn't have a hot water kettle, no iron . Otherwise it was good, the location was good, and the cleaning was also good. We can stay here.

Obsługa była doskonała. Zawsze cieszyliśmy się, że nasz pokój był czysty i codziennie dostawaliśmy świeże ręczniki. Wybór śniadań również był niesamowity. Dwie rzeczy, z których nie jestem w 100% zadowolony, to brak klimatyzacji w pokoju, co było uciążliwe w nocy, nawet przy otwartych dwóch oknach. Przyjechaliśmy w pierwszym tygodniu kwietnia i było gorąco. Śniadanie mogłoby się również zaczynać wcześniej, np. o 6:00, ponieważ w niektóre dni naszego pobytu musieliśmy wychodzić z hotelu na zajęcia około 6:00. Mimo to, ogólnie rzecz biorąc, uważam, że to świetny hotel, zwłaszcza biorąc pod uwagę lokalizację.

Hotel Caravel znajduje się kilka przecznic od Stazione Garbatella. Personel mówi po hiszpańsku, angielsku i włosku (prawdopodobnie także w innych językach). Miałem przyjemność zatrzymać się w Caravel na siedem dni z moim ojcem i byli bardzo dostosowani do jego potrzeb (takich jak bezpieczne przechowywanie jego laptopa i zapewnienie mu czajnika elektrycznego na wieczorną filiżankę herbaty). Mają również adaptery do gniazdek elektrycznych i oferują usługi pralnicze osób trzecich. Hotel ma dostępne podjazdy, a w obiekcie znajduje się sklep z ubraniami, bar, bar śniadaniowy i restauracja. Bufet śniadaniowy jest bardzo zróżnicowany, a niektóre potrawy są przygotowywane na miejscu. Mam nadzieję, że zatrzymam się u nich następnym razem, gdy odwiedzę Rzym. Moje ulubione śniadanie (które jadłem prawie każdego dnia) widać na tym zdjęciu.

We stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options. The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find. Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

Lokalizacja jest świetna, stosunek ceny do jakości jest bardzo wysoki, a śniadanie w okolicy dworca kolejowego jest bardzo dobre. Mimo, że pokój jest mały i dobrze wyposażony, najważniejsze jest to, że jest bardzo ciepło. Hol jest bardzo okazały, a ogólny wystrój jest stosunkowo nowy. Atmosfera w części wypoczynkowej z barem jest bardzo dobra, a często są tam duże grupy studentów rozmawiających i bawiących się.

酒店整體還算乾淨，環境也不錯！ 但是非常不好找！ 沒有前台，衹有一個WhatsApp 賬號，但是衹有固定時間段內才有回覆！也沒有什麼指引！ 雖然地理位置上羅馬一個地鐵站附近，很方便！但是這個是價格還是偏貴了🙁不划算！

I booked this hotel as it was within walking distance to a conference venue nearby. The hotel staff were very kind and I was able to check in early as my flight to Rome was early, this helped a lot as I was able to freshen up before visiting the sights . The nearest metro station is Eur Palasport which will take you to all the tourist sights . The reception staff was very kind to make me an espresso in the morning as the coffee machine was not working.
