„This hotel is very large and clean. The rooms were very spacious. The only thing is that the heat is 'on' even if you lower the temperature to its lowest setting. Thankfully there was a window to open even though it was -6° outside. The buffet was great with lots of selections. The one & only restaurant for dinner was great. Their large Asian menu provided pictures of all the dishes. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly & helpful. The pool was nice and clean. There was even a lifeguard on duty. The hot tubs were separate in the men's & ladies' change rooms. The only issue was that the front desk staff was very limited with English and there were no concierge services. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.”

„The hotel was well located. The room exactly like it was described online. We reserved two rooms without windows for one day it was cost efficient! Unfortunately I could not reserve directly 4 breakfast online only two (one per room), we have to pay directly at breakfast for the two others one. We stop at Datong to visited one of UNESCO site and see the all Datong city. We thought more foreigners will visit this beautiful small city. No one speaks English (and that’s ok) but for a 4 stars hotel the front desk lady looks a bit lost with the check in procedure for foreigners (and I work in a 5 stars hotel in beijing so I know the procedure as a French working in China). Also, the isolation is bad, the front desk already inform us upon check in but we did not thought we will heard even the other room bathrooms flush. Thank you for this night your hotel is beautiful”

„I booked two rooms for 4, and we were given rooms beside each other. We arrived late at night around 9.30pm and check in went smoothly. Rooms were very comfortable and were equipped with SMART tech with voice activation! We were also able to check out a little later upon request since our train left later in the afternoon. I also had packages delivered to the reception and had no issues. Location was great and easy to explore the ancient city and also to see the main wall itself. One thing to note is that there isn't a formal drop off point but you can definitely get dropped off and picked up along the side of the road. The room layout was slightly different than the images on Trip.com (I booked a Double bedroom with courtyard view with a stay voucher), but the room was good too although I would have preferred the toilet configuration in the photos. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again if I get to come back to Datong. They also have a bakery at the lobby and it gets sold out pretty quickly!”

„Decided last minute to escape the summer heat in Datong and chose the Wyndham Garden Hotel, located about a kilometer from the ancient city. The hotel is very new, with plenty of parking both above and underground. The front desk staff were quite welcoming during check-in and check-out (special shout-out to Ms. Jiang and Ms. Jiao!). The room had all the basic amenities, and housekeeping was quick to respond. Areas for improvement: The room cleaning wasn't thorough, as there were food crumbs on the sofa from the previous guest. Since it's a new hotel, there was a strong, lingering renovation smell in the room, and no fresh air system. I tried opening the window, but it didn't help much. Also, there was someone trying to sell something (??) on the way from the front desk to the elevators, and it happened every time I passed by (though I couldn't hear what they were selling, it really detracted from the experience). That's all! 🌈”

„很少寫點評的人 為了他們家花了點時間 盤盤 -設計感十足，旺中帶靜，一進大門放佛是另外一個世界，臨離開的時候一問，老闆花了5000萬打造的，果然是給足設計的自然與人之間的極致體驗感，不奢華但直達心間想要的靜謐，less is more -服務非常好，管家們一定是有着極其專業的培訓，笑臉相迎 第一時間滿足客人需求，會有接駁的接我們拿行李，mini bar free，夜間有甜品，實在是沒有時間吃，每天咖啡也隨時供應豆子也很不錯（與他們同公司的念夏咖啡一樣的豆子） 早餐簡單也豐富，就是太早結束了9:30😂如果可以請在10:30 畢竟是度假客 不是上班不是旅行團 -床品很棒 洗手間裏的細節也很好 還有加濕器 對於久居南方的人很nice -推薦指數 五顆 適合一年四季看風景慢生活 已經推薦了朋友國慶去體驗 -”

I had an amazing stay at Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard in Datong! This hidden gem offers a traditional Chinese courtyard experience with a cozy and authentic vibe. The location is ideal—just a short walk from Huayan Temple and Nine Dragon Wall. The rooms were immaculately clean, making it easy to relax, especially after staying at a larger hotel that wasn’t as spotless. The bathroom amenities were incredible—featuring a wooden comb, two electric toothbrushes, Sensodyne toothpaste, a high-quality nail clipping set, a shoehorn, Listerine, and lingerie soap, all beautifully packed in an embroidered red pouch, free of charge. Breakfast was delicious, with a carefully prepared set menu. The thousand-year congee was unbelievably good! The hotel even has a small exhibition room, adding to its charm. There's no complaint on anything here. It's all perfect to me! Overall, Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard is a fantastic blend of tradition, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality—highly recommend it!

Every detail of this hotel was top notch! It was our first time in Datong, and staying at pingcheng hotel was one of the best decision we made! From the moment you arrive they greet you with a welcome drinks and fruits! The foot bath service felt amazing after a long day walking around the grottoes. The hotel is located in the quieter quarter of the ancient city. I would totally go back to stay at this hotel! They even got us a bag of Shanxi souvenirs!💖 The only thing I'd recommend to improve would be the breakfast selection. Adding cheese & ham and some other continental breakfast option would be great for foreign tourists.

Po drugiej stronie ulicy od Wandy znajduje się kilka restauracji, cukierni i herbaciarni z mlekiem na dole! Udogodnienia hotelowe są zupełnie nowe, utrzymane w minimalistycznym, a zarazem lekkim, luksusowym stylu! Pokoje są niezwykle dźwiękoszczelne i ciche. Podczas zameldowania poprosiłam o cichy pokój i był dokładnie taki, jakiego oczekiwałam, z czego byłam bardzo zadowolona! Jednak obsługa w recepcji była naprawdę rozczarowująca. Nie miałam pojęcia, czym się zajmują, ale kazali mi czekać, a ja nie miałam pojęcia, na co czekam. Zapytałam więc, na kogo czekam, a ona ponownie mnie zameldowała. To był pokój, który zarezerwowałam telefonicznie, więc byłam jedyną osobą przed nią. Nawet nie podnosząc wzroku, powiedziała: „Proszę zaczekać!”. Czekałam, ale potem wszedł mężczyzna i zapytał, czy może mnie zameldować. Powiedziała: „Pozwól, że to sprawdzę!”. Byłam wściekła! Nie wiem, jak personel recepcji jest tak szkolony, żeby być tak niezorganizowanym!

The hotel is located in a good location near shops Nd the old town sights. The rooms are large and the service on the executive floor was excellent, fresh fruit everyday not just once. The restaurant and room service are open lunch and diner time only, no late meals. Extensive breakfast is available. There is a bar but did not see many users. Did not see any gym or pool but it is possible I missed them. The bed was very comfortable and the high speed station (less than 2 hours to Beijng) is about 30 minutes away by taxi. Very enjoyable would revisit.

The hotel is situated not far from the old walled town and equal distance to the shopping area. Formerly a Holiday Inn now independent. The rooms are large and comfortable with good work desk and wifi. Comfortable bed gives good rest. The fridge had been removed but there is kettle and plenty of water, every day some fruit was delivered to the room which I appreciated. Hotel has gym, swimming pool and two restaurant, given the price it was very good value for money and I would happily stay again.

We had a great stay at this hot spring hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good amenities and a cozy bed. The hotel is about an hour’s drive from the famous Hanging Temple, and there’s a bus running between the Travelers Center and the hotel — just make sure to check the departure time with the front desk. The breakfast was nice, mainly Chinese-style dishes, and the variety was satisfying. The hot spring area isn’t the most impressive I’ve visited, but it was still wonderful to soak in a warm tub after a long day of hiking. Overall, a relaxing and comfortable stay — definitely a good choice if you’re exploring the area.

I like the scenery very much. Although the photo can't be photographed, the temperature is very comfortable on the breeze. The hotel is a hot spring hotel. I will definitely try the private soup next time. It is absolutely value-for-money. Facilities: brand new and fully equipped Hygienic: clean and absolutely Environment: That's beautiful, very quiet. Service: The front desk is very friendly to parents and children, gives children a lot of gifts, and is very patient, this is very commendable! Everything else is very good. Come back next time and recommend it to everyone.

This was my first time in Datong, and I booked this hotel blindly on a platform. I didn't expect to find such a wonderful environment. Huazhu Sheyingyueting Hotel is located in the ancient city, but it's quiet despite being in the bustling area. It's a tastefully decorated courtyard house with a large courtyard where you can take photos without even leaving the hotel. We brought my parents and children to Datong this time, and it's perfect for a family stay. The room facilities are all new, and the owner is very friendly. In short... it exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended! I will definitely recommend it to friends who are planning a trip to Datong!
