I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge.
Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,

Upon arrival. met new owners who were just as friendly as previous owner hotel was at the high standard as before.
But I think the breakfast was of better quality

Stayed here to go to a wedding reception nearby. Everything we needed was available. Room clean and tidy and the bed was amazing, so comfortable! Breakfast available from 0930 in pub below, good prices and tasty. Well worth the money.

Nice and easy check-in with the young lady who showed me to my room. Decent food and beer options there and a speedy service. The rooms are qell maintained and quieter than you think it will be above a pub. Stayed a couple of times and will be likely to stay again. Also a bonus of allocated hotel guest parking. Useful when its busy with guests

We had a fantastic stay, check in was easy, the room was well laid out, in good decor and repair. The food available from the bar was excellent quality and value for money. We were concerned that staying above a pub would be noisy, but we didn’t need to worry, it was very quiet, occasionally someone would laugh loud, but not enough to wake anyone.
We had an amazing stay and would be more than happy to return.

Satnav led us astray but very pleased with our stay once we had arrived. Room very clean and comfortable. Disappointed that restaurant was not open on Sunday evening but we found one nearby that was.

Second stay at the Tawny Owl. Very helpful and friendly staff. Just would like a new shower curtain please. Perfect place to stay to explore the area on foot and close to shopping and heritage railway.
