Great modern room and terrace in a beautiful old building. Very spacious and spotless room and bathroom, plenty of closet space and shelving (even in the bathroom!) to unpack. Perfect firm mattress and pillows, serious blackout curtains, and very well sound-proofed. A very short walk to the historic city center and Villa d'Este, a 10 minute drive to Villa Adriana. Delightful breakfast of fruits, fresh pastry, yogurt, insanely tasty fruit juice, and optional eggs. Friendly, easy-going host.

I stayed in this hotel to break the long journey from north to south it is an appendix of the hotel that adjoins it ”Grand hotel duca d'Este ****” found problems, night noise like lift that climbs and descends ininterruptly Probably fault, unsupportable noise of the type of exhaust destroyed from the roof, room side street with no-sonic windows difficult to sleep with all these noises; smells in the room, bathroom without products, very small shower.
