"Beautiful hotel right on the beach so excellent location. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good but service is SLOW so plan to kick back with a couple of drinks before your food arrives. We stayed over the weekend, which was a mistake for us. We were in the Palmera room, which has a wonderful view of the ocean and a beautiful thatched room, but no sound proofing whatsoever so it was super LOUD and noisy from the adjacent rental apartment and bar down the road. The music did not stop playing until 4am Friday night and 2am Saturday night. Impossible to sleep. We would have enjoyed our stay here more if we came on a weekday as the beach is amazing. The beach is clean with fine soft sand and no pebbles or shells so easy to walk on. The beach has a very gradual slope so safe to wander into the water. You need to walk pretty far to get it up to waist height. The waves are gentle and brings in a warm current of water. This beach is one of the finer beaches we have been on. We also went to the beaches up north, by the Gulf of Mexico. Puerto Arista was much nicer, in our opinion."
