Hunter Prince Castle Hotel

"In May this year we were visiting the city of Turda - and we were looking for a spot to grab something to eat - so after a quick search on the www - this was the place chosen from amongst the options that popped-up. The location also has a hotel - but this review is only about the restaurant - the "Hunter Prince" restaurant. Located close to the city center - you can park a few meters away on one of the nearby streets - or on the premises if you are lucky - and walk to the spot. We've been seating on the terrace - since the weather on that day of May was really good for dinning outside. Service - very good - almost no waiting time for drinks and food. Food - plenty of great choices on the menu - but what caught my eye was the bear roast - indeed Bear you are reading it right , it is more than 10 years since I had a bear dish - and it was really great together with the mushroom rice - a very good choice. My girlfriend went for the "Deer" Burger - and that one was another tasty option. The menu is extensive - so if you want a vegetarian choice you can also find it - and more traditional dishes are on the menu too. Drinks selection is also very rich - so for sure you'll find something that you like. Prices - I would say mid-range towards the upper area of the range, but on the other hand is not everyday you get a roast bear steak or a deer burger. What I can say, for sure there are more pocket friendly options on the menu, it is up to you to choose what you would like to have. A very good price to quality ratio - that is for sure. When in Turda, and you would like to have something really special for lunch or dinner - look no further - try this restaurant - it is worth it."

Salis Hotel & Medical Spa

"Super friendly reception staff. Confirmation said check in finished at 6pm but the hotel responded to me straight away to say someone will always be there. Large room, very nice inside. Good shower. Parking is on street, but there were spaces and it was a quiet area. Good location close to Salinda Yurda and Turda Gorge. We ate at hotel as not sure if there were many restaurants. Food was nice but quite basic, food prices though. Staff didn’t haven’t much personality but weren’t unfriendly. Only downside was the staff at breakfast, the lady was so rude. Breakfast was ok, but had much better elsewhere. Nice view from floor. Spa was difficult to find. Only a handful of chairs. Facilities ok, I would come just for the spa as the pool wasn’t very big and the heated hydrotherapy was shall - no jacuzzi. Didn’t try the sauna as it looked closed. Treatments were good price but all booked up, but emailed in advance about booking and had no reply. Only marking down as the lady at breakfast was so rude it overshadowed the stay."
