Played a round of golf with my wife at 1.12pm April 22nd., both mid-handicappers.They don’t pair players with others and tee off at 12 min intervals. Therefore, a nice feeling of being unrushed and distracted. The welcome and attention given prior to play was excellent in a calming environment. The starter was very informative and courteous. We thankfully had a buggy as we recorded over 8 miles covered by a GPS watch. Not sure if a buggy is compulsory. The course design is very impressive as it meanders through the hills with each hole set apart from the others. There are a number of elevated tees and greens with penal, plentiful bunkers everywhere. Accuracy of shots is paramount and length less important. Miraculously, we lost only two balls in total between us ! Pace of play was good as we hardly saw other players and took around 4+ hours. The course condition is not good, fairways in particular being bare and hard in places, although I suspect it is improving from last year’s drought. Then, comes the cost, which is hefty, at well over Euro200. I enjoyed the experience but am not drawn back for another round.

The hotel is very clean, friendly and staffs are very welcoming, pleasant and attentive to the need of each customers. Rooms very spacious, airy and bright. Breakfast buffet is well stocked up and with plenty of choices for various requirements of clients. Swimming pool is a bonus due to extreme heat outside, water very cold and would appreciate the water being bit warmer. Vast car park is a plus, busy parking around hotel perimeter. Hotel location is very good looking, next to the traffic lights on the main street, very large hotel, free parking, we booked temporarily, want to live at the border on the last night in Portugal, the town is very clean, the hotel is 5 minutes walk to the town The largest commercial street, eating and drinking is very convenient, the hotel front desk is also very warm

Stayed at this hotel for the second year in a row following my cousin having his wedding here last year. I absolutely love this hotel. The food is amazing as are the services provided by the hotel. It has a very relaxing and peaceful vibe. Special shout out to the bartenders: Keegan and Pedro! They really took care of my family and I. They made us feel very welcome and well looked after. They are both very special and interesting individuals who I really enjoyed speaking to. I'm glad to have met them. They also make fantastic cocktails. Another special shout out to The Animation Team, they were tireless in their efforts to involve guests in fun daily activities around the pool as well as providing amazing entertainment in the evenings. They are all incredible entertainers and very good at looking after guests and getting people involved. They helped us create a lot of good memories during our stay here. The personal touch at this hotel is definitely there. Tavira Island is just a short boat ride away. You can also get a river taxi from the pier by the hotel up to Tavira Town. I love the vibe of this place and I think this will be a hotel my family and I will want to regularly visit in the future for our family holidays. Por ser mais sossegado foi nos proposto um quarto no segundo andar o qual tem acesso pelo exterior e não se parece nada com as fotografias que constam no Site. Quando abri a cama deparei me com o lençol sujo, o qual foi trocado porque solicitamos. O colchão é muito mole e os lençóis muito curtos e demasiado usados, quando me mexia desprendia se e ficava a dormir direto no colchão. O lavatório está partido. A torneira do bidé quase não deita água e é tudo muito básico. Quando regressamos ao quarto ao fim do dia cheira a limpeza mas o meu conceito de limpeza passa por um pouco mais do que passar a esfregona no chão. Não voltarei e não posso recomendar.

There is also a supermarket and kiosk available on site.Guests can relax at the outdoor swimming pool, which is surrounded by a lush garden. The resort also has a games room with darts, a ping-pong table and a children’s playground.One of Algarve's top golf courses is situated just 1 km from the Pedras da Rainha hotel.

The hotel was nicely decorated and designed. The pool area was very clean and a nice environment. The rooms were also clean, with comfortable beds and a good shower. Unfortunately when we arrived one of the rooms had an unpleasant smell. When we mentioned this at reception they said housekeeping would look into it, but nothing was mentioned further. We then found that the room door was faulty, and was not locking properly. When we returned from meals in the evening, we found the door ajar, despite being shut when we left. We mentioned this at reception, and again they said they'd look into it, but nothing was done, despite mentioning that we had valuables in the room. The obvious course of action would have been to fix it immediately, or move us to a different room, but neither was offered, which feels like quite a major issue. The offering at breakfast was good, and there were a few members of staff that were especially helpful and friendly in the Orangea restaurant. The food here was ok, but would recommend ordering simpler dishes. On the whole, our stay was enjoyable, but issues were not dealt with as they should have been, which would make us rethink returning.

Lovely hotel if a bit old fashioned in places. Was able to check in early which was a bonus. Ladies on reception lovely. Room On the 3rd foor overlooking salt plain with afternoon sun. Only 1 lift worked for most of week but didn't cause us any issues. Room nice although the small fridge was in wardrobe cutting down hanging space. Could have done with more drawer space. Water in fridge taking up room but charged if used. Free bottle of water on table on arrival was a nice touch. Room cleaned every day and towels changed if u left them on the floor. Breakfast was good especially the omelette cooked to order. Found that lots of tables were used but seemed to take ages to get cleared away. A couple of the staff just seemed to walk about just picking up the odd thing and not cleared full table. A few times the food was empty but just had to wait for them to get replenish. Lots of sunbeds available might have been due to the high number of golf parties staying at the time. Pool towels available from the spa. Overrun with pigeons although they were putting wires up over the pool while we were there. Pool icy cold only a few brave people went in. Spa pool slightly warmer. Jacuzzi but not very good was expecting bubbles not just a couple of jets. Had to wear shower caps which were 4e each. Bar service long wait to be served needed more staff the two people serving were run off there feet. Tavira was lovely with good choice of restaurants both sides of river. Loved Nikatas just in a little side street but needed to book in advance. Visited the nearby indoor local market lots of fresh fish and veg. Went on the land train which was well worth it if very bumpy over the cobbles. Used the ferry to the beach for a couple of hours. Stunning beach which went on for miles. Fab weather. Would we return... Probably if wanting to visit Tavira again

The week before Christmas was the perfect time to enjoy this lovely hotel. It's well designed and well equipped. The rooms are a good size. The roof terrace a sun trap ideal for sun bathing and reading in December. The food was delicious. The staff were really helpful and friendly and all just five minutes walk to the enormous and largely empty beach. Monte Gordo is a bit busy for my taste in the summer but for a sunny winters break this was heavenly.

This is a lovely hotel. A great location in the hills, beautiful and quiet. Surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees, with fab views and gardens to sit in quiet corners. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. The pool area, the same. The animals are a nice touch, with a donkey, some sheep, peacocks and turtles. And cats wandering around the gardens. All of that makes this a nice place to stay. But the star of this hotel, for us, was the restaurant, the quality of the food and the fantastic staff. From the sweetest, juiciest oranges and figs from the gardens for breakfast, to Algarvian fish stew for dinner, to local specialities like Cataplan, the quality of the food is very high. The staff of this hotel are of course very professional, but they also give a lovely personal service. They are so helpful, friendly and kind. Everyone goes the extra mile to make people feel welcome. Special thanks from us go to Pedro, the restaurant manager, and Miguel and Sofia. Making people feel special, as you do, is not easy, but it makes a huge difference to your guests. Thank you for a lovely holiday!
