"I booked an Afternoon Tea on Groupon and we were not disappointed. The Hotel is lovely and it has parking. We were greeted my a lovely lady called Shannon and she couldn’t have been more helpful. The sandwiches were very free with plenty of filling and the Scones were excellent. Lovely cakes and plenty of tea. We also had a glass of Prosecco. We will definitely be returning."

"Po raz pierwszy (2025) byliśmy w bloku, który jest oddzielony od głównego budynku - to było OK i usługa była znacznie lepsza. Ostatnio pobyt w głównym budynku - jego śmieci. Dywan prowadzący do pokoi był plamowany, a sam pokój, choć wyglądał czysto, nie "czuł się czysty" - miejsce może być z odświeżeniem i nowymi dywanami. Nie mogliśmy dostać po przyjeździe, gdy przestały służyć o 9:00- dotarliśmy couloue minut przed 9:00 po 4 godzinie jazdy, byliśmy rozczarowani i widzieliśmy parę jedzących w barze, których posiłki wyszły długo po przyjeździe - więc Naprawdę mogliśmy zamówić i być posiłkami. W końcu zamówiliśmy Uber je posiłek."

Ferryman`s Cottage at the Beetle & Wedge ★★★

"We highly recommended the Beetle & Wedge accommodation to our good friends visiting from abroad for 2 nights this past week. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed by the poor welcome, service and general attendance they received. Having booked many months in advance, we expected they would be given the best possible suite. However, they were put into a cold, stuffy, dark converted garage in the road behind, with no outlook from the small window. When we questioned it, we were told other rooms were available and they agreed to move them. We did not welcome the inconvenience and we remain curious as to why they were not put there in the first place. As the room was much better, we were happy to give them the benefit of the doubt at that stage. Unfortunately, after a day out the following day, they returned to their room which had not been cleaned or serviced, with morning coffee cups, bed, and the bathroom untouched. Furthermore, at 8.30 am on the last morning of their stay, they went to reception to sign out, say goodbye and hand in the keys. They found the doors locked and there was no one in sight! Having spoken so highly about the Bettle & Wedge to our friends who had travelled all this way expecting to stay in special accommodation, we felt embarrassed and let down by the neglect they received and the appalling lack of customer service. We certainly will not recommend the Beetle & Wedge again and, sadly, neither will we be eating there!"

"Stracić papier woskowy w plastikowych koszach serwujących. Kocham jedzenie tutaj. Jednak nie lubię papier woskowy na dole plastikowego koszyka. Jedzenie jest niesamowite, chociaż - zwłaszcza hot dogs. Piwo też nie jest zbyt złe. Warto na pewno odwiedzić, hamburgery & załadowane frytki również dobrze"
