A Maiden Rest

Nice B and B right on the Esplanade. We had room 18 which is a seaview room with balcony. It was lovely to wake up in the morning and watch the sun rise drinking tea on the little balcony. You do have to bend to get under the large window onto the balcony but it wasn't a problem for The bedroom was quite large , and the bed was very comfortable, we slept really well. You are on the main road,so expect traffic, but again it wasn't a problem for me. The bed gets made each day and tea, coffee, milk replenished. We were only there 4 nights so bed sheets weren't changed. Dean the owner was there to greet us, and explain what we needed to know, and give the WI-FI Password. He was a nice friendly guy. I have to mention the breakfast. Wow. A choice of cereal to start then you have a choice of the hot breakfast. The full English was brilliant and they do not scrimp on the servings. After eating this we didn't need to eat again till we went out in the evening.Well worth the price and Ollie who cooks it is lovely. This is an old building so don't expect 5 star mod cons, but it has everything you need. The location is close to all the amenities and you walk across the road to the sea. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

A really nice stay . Room was clean with comfy beds and plenty of tea and coffee . Plus a great breakfast . Definitly worth going back to . We had a room looking out over the sea front , watch the waves coming in (or out) . Just a short walk to the railway station and across the road for the beach

Decided to have a night away just on the off chance. Walked into ask for a room and was offered a nice room cheaper than it was priced. Very much appreciated and we loved it. Slept wel,l nice bed pillows were quality. Shower powerful. Lovely host. Definitely recommend this B&B. The room was spotless and so was the rest of this little gem.

This B&B has an excellent location right on the beach front, we had a sea view room and it was lovely looking out onto the beach. It was quiet and peaceful, and the breakfast was great. The host was so friendly and helpful and helped to dry out stuff when we got soaked on a coastal walk! Would definitely stay again, thanks for a lovely weekend stay.

When I first arrived Dean seemed quite offish told me he’d texted me wireless code and I asked if he could take my case up to my room as I’d struggle with my disabilities. He was quite stern when he said no I can’t I had an heart attack. Which that is fair enough I wouldn’t expect him to pick anything heavy up But I did say I was concerned how I was going to get up the stairs. He then said he had a friend staying and would text him to see if he would come and help and he did. Whilst I was waiting I asked how long ago he’d had his heart attack but this then changed to angina. I then had a lecture of how to use the toilet and harped on about some women putting a sanitary towel down and blocked it after being told not to so said he couldn’t fix it (deliberately as she hadn’t listened) and told them to use the toilets down the corridor My room was clean and fresh the bed was comfy I didn’t like the sink in the bedroom but understand why and the bathroom was so tiny when I had a shower the tray was filling up near the top so I had to abandon my shower half way through to allow it to drain. When I mentioned this to Dean again quite defences saying It does happen in that room surely I could have been warned about this. Next issue the balcony was inaccessible to me. I tried to put the sash window up and it wouldn’t stay up so I texted dean to ask how to get it stop up and was told oh it doesn’t it comes down slowly so you’ll have to put a chair under the window and it does open from the outside. So I put a chair under the window but it made the window so low that you had to crawl up out of the window ledge and down onto the balcony. Having disabilities this was impossible for me. So I didn’t get to use the balcony And I had booked that particular room as it said deluxe double room and balcony. This was room 18 so just be aware if you book that room . It was far from delux by no means an awful room as it was nice. I normally get woken up early with traffic but I had my window open the whole time I was there. And the traffic never bothered me at all. The windows had big long heavy curtains which kept the morning light out and I think may have muted some if the traffic. So that was all good On the booking site it ask if you have any requirements and I put if I could have an extra hour to vacate the room as I do struggle to get out of bed in a morning. So the day before I asked if this was still ok. And all I got was oh it’s change over day and was very reluctant to say yes despite requesting it. I explained I may well not need the extra half hour but it was just incase but he just kept on about having the keys back at 10pm. Luckily I did manage to get out of bed early enough. Went for breakfast whilst not amazing it was very nice. Poor cold selection no milk, yoghurts 2 small boxes of cereal no fruit or pastries which was disappointing The guy who serves the breakfast is such a lovely man and said he’d bring my luggage down for me. Dean had said that

Very easy to find as right on seaside. Fantastic breakfast and service. Room was lovely and clean and a great location in Weymouth. We had a great time and would definitely book again. Host and staff very friendly. Totally recommend this hotel.

Excellent B&B, great friendly hosts, the room was clean and the breakfast was fantastic, just a stone throw away from the beach. Really recommend this little gem, we will definitely be returning in the future, I can't wait to return. A great experience

Stayed here for a couple of days room was clean and tidy breakfast was very good lots of choice Dean the owner was excellent staff was very helpful and friendly, and I would definitely recommend this b&b on sea front aswell going to definitely be staying there again

I stayed at the hotel for a long time. I found the owners to be very nice and helpful and the rooms to very clean and comfortable as is the entire establishment and I always got a good night sleep. I've stayed in lots of hotels and b&b and this is hands down the best one for service and value for money. Thanks again to the owners for such a pleasant stay.
