We came for 2 nights for my birthday. We stayed in the super king ensuite, and the room was absolutely beautiful and clean. The bed was so comfy we wanted to bring it home. We were very well taken care of by Cathy and Tim. Nothing was too much trouble and gave us lots of handy advice of where the best spots were to visit. And an added bonus the homemade plum marmalade was stunning .

Lovely stay for 2 nights,made really welcome. So friendly. Absolutely immaculate and nothing to much trouble. Great location, definitely recommend. Will definitely stay there again. Walked down into Bowness twice,once to get the ferry to Ambleside for a couple of hours.

Another lovely stay at this guest house, you really do feel a very lovely welcome on arrival by Tim and Cathy. 2nd time we have stayed and hopefully many more. Lovely breakfast and also the room. It is in the vicinity of everything you need, and the restaurants around are very good. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Just returned from 3 night stay.Cathy and Tim were the perfect hosts . Our room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Location is ideal for shops and transport. Tim's light breakfast was tasty and perfectly cooked . Would recommend this guest house and will definitely be returning.

Cathy and Tim are fabulous hosts in this immaculate guesthouse. The rooms are pristine, well equipped and nice and quiet. Cathy and Tim are very attentive and strive to make you feel welcome and relaxed and have a great knowledge of the local area. This was a return visit for us and I know we shall come back to Haisthorpe House soon. I can highly recommend staying here !

Chose to have another excellent stay in Room 3 - Superior King, for my birthday treat from the other half over the Easter weekend. Cathy and Tim are wonderful and welcoming hosts with great local knowledge. The room is lovely, quiet and very comfortable, and location is close to the heart of Windermere. We opted to upgrade the continental breakfast to Tim’s cooked offering, which set us up for the day each morning. We have already recommended to family and friends and will be booking again for our next return trip to the Lake District.

A lovely stay, Tim and Cathy were lovely hosts they made you feel welcome and they were very knowledgeable on the area. The room was lovely and comfortable ( the best one yet that we have stayed in) . The breakfast was very tasty and made on order so was hot when it arrived. We had a fantastic short stay, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, as guests nothing was to much trouble every thing laid on in the room, tea,coffee, hot chocolate comfortable bed and nice shower room. Couldn't ask for more Cathy and Tim were very friendly and helpful helping us on ideas of where to go and what to see. Will definitely be back next year. 10/10.

I have just spent a delightful few days as a guest here and I would recommend to solo travellers as well as couples and families. From the moment I arrived and up to my departure I felt welcome and the hosts are so thoughtful, caring and considerate. The house is spotlessly clean everywhere and Cathy and Tim are mindful of keeping post covid sanitation and going the extra step, in order that everyone feels safe in their room but also in the dining room with other guests. As the photos will prove, rooms are fresh and comfortable and you may replenish your tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits as you wish. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice and very generous. Sometimes as a solo traveller the facilities open to you can be very overpriced and often rather sad and uncared for, but as a guest of Haisthorpe House a very warm welcome awaits. Donna Manchester
