Glencree

民宿離碼頭大約1公里，離温德米爾小鎮也是1公里左右，其他都挺好，就是房間實在太小了。特別是淋浴間，沐浴的地方很小，轉身也比較困難，特別對於男士來説。房間有一個小冰箱，放兩個大箱子的話非常困難，如果住在一樓進進出出會比較吵。要表揚的是餐廳的早餐做得比較精緻，但是如果每天都吃的話，可能也會膩了。 謝謝小木屋有自己的停車場，大約可以停五輛車，所謂的游泳池不是在這裏，要開車大概五分鐘的一個會所。

I’ll start by saying I haven’t actually stayed here because I haven’t been able to book. I was gifted a Red Letter Days voucher, I added an additional amount to upgrade to be able to book this hotel. This hotel on the Red Letter Days website has to be booked by calling the hotel directly. I have left three voicemails, on an O2 service that doesn’t even mention the name of this hotel, I used Messenger to attempt to speak to someone; the message was read but not responded to, I’ve sent an email and also filled in their own contact form. Not one of these attempts to speak to someone have been responded to. I have spent hours over the last week trying to get a booking made for dates that the hotel website shows as having availability all to no avail. I’ve now given up and will look to book somewhere who actually wants to take my reservation.

Had a fantastic weekend stay. Rooms are spotlessly clean. We had a room on the top floor that had a quirky metal spiral staircase to get to it. The owners were away and Shiralee was our contact and was absolutely fantastic, she couldn't do enough for us at breakfast. She is a keeper. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely little gem Of a BnB. Really easy to check in with codes for the main door and bedroom. The place is spotlessly clean and the room was beautiful. Ideal location inbetween bowness and Windermere, a great walk, but because I’m pregnant and feeling unwell with it, we drove down to bowness a few mins and got on street free parking. We booked direct but from a buy a gift voucher , we found out that morning that this didn’t include a full English breakfast which we had to pay extra for which was a little disappointing, but that was my only moan. Great that you can use the leisure facilities a short drive away. It doesn’t look much from the outside but inside is a lovely little pool and adult only area with sauna, steam room and big jacuzzi, so was lovely to spend a couple of hours there. Room was spacious and had a fridge which was great for me as needed to put some bits in. Lots of lovely smelling shampoo/conditioner/shower gel etc. Would highly recommend to anyone, really lovely place

Good location between Windermere and Bowness (you can easily walk to either). Nice accommodation. Parking is a bit tight on space but they do have additional parking across the road in the Church. We did find it "different" ie everything is done online / on a tablet in the room or by text. Not complaining as it worked just different as we are used to seeing the owner / host. Though we did miss talking to someone - maybe I am just a bit old fashioned :)

Disgusting customer service! We were due to stay here on Saturday for our wedding anniversary but unfortunately due to the weather we were stranded in the car for 6 hours. I kept intouch with the owner all day and I called him and explained we were nowhere near Windermere and we unfortunately had to cancel the booking, at which point he told me he was out rescuing people! Took the room number and said he would be in touch regarding some sort of refund… I’m guessing the amount of people which were stranded our room would have been given to somebody else. We paid £171 and received nothing I was expecting a return visit as a good will gesture given the situation but I was offered a 35% discount on another visit… of course I want to pay more money towards another stay given I had already paid! I may aswell have burnt £171! And the owner called me mean and selfish when he is the one robbing people blind!! Telling me he has a £35 cleaning bill… hardly cleaning for me when I wasn’t even there! Not a nice way to treat people. Enjoy spending my well earned cash! Disgusting and day light robbery!!

We visited Glenncree for a birthday night away and had a wonderful experience! Ian contacted us detailing our self check in details and let us know he had upgraded our room. When we arrived we were very impressed with our room; we were in a suite with a living room, bedroom and bathroom. The decor was very modern and the whole room was really clean. The living room included a smart tv which we made use of, so we were very thankful for the upgrade! The breakfast was fantastic, all very hot and freshly made. Ian was very accommodating and a great host. Overall a lovely guesthouse, I would highly recommend!

We're currently 3 nights in to our 4 night stay and couldn't be happier with our choice of accommodation. Ian, the owner, is so helpful yet not intrusive and he will help with anything you need. The rooms are finished throughout the building to a very high standard with no expense spared creating a real home away from home experience. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic quality with a good choice to choose from. Ideally located in between Windermere and Bowness, both are a pleasant 10 min walk in either direction. Plenty of parking and free access to a local health centre with a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. I'd definitely stay again and would recommend to all my friends and family.

Loved our stay at Glencree! Perfectly situated between Windermere and Bowness (5-10 min easy walk to either and safe at night). Room was spotless and tastefully decorated, better than most hotels. Had a lovely stream running past and outdoor seating for warmer weather! The host Ian was lovely and really welcoming and you were left to your own devices with codes to get in the main door and bedrooms! Tablets on the rooms were a great idea which you pre-order your breakfast on it and has all the information on the area and contacts you need on it! There is an honesty bar downstairs which we thought was a lovely idea! Rooms had all local toiletries and tea’s coffee’s! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Would def recommend a stay here if your visiting the Lake District!
