Hotel is overhyped. Everything was mediocre.

Brand new hotel, nice room, nice location close to the city center, free and safe parking. Most of the staff was very attentive. Three good restaurants in the hotel complex. Breakfast is very good, but could have more fruits and bread options.

The reception at the Weinberg Hotel was very welcoming on our arrival and on our return at the end of our booked Self Drive Safari. The roof top restaurant serves reasonable food (which we had on our arrival at the beginning of our trip)but their booking system for a table needs to be improved. Having made the effort to go up to the restaurant to book a table for our last night, we were ensrued that althoght it was not possible to "reserve" a table, they would keep a table for us - when we returned there were NO spare tables. We went and ate at the Cape Town Fish Market on the ground floor of the htoel. Staff were great, SUSHI food was very tasty and ejoyable. Rooms at the hotel are well equipped with beautiful bathrooms. Bed very comfortable. Would be great to have my water bottle returned - although my fault for leaving it there, I was ensured that the bottle had been found and it would be available for me to pick up on my return.... despite a few convesations with staff, sadly the bottle was not returned. I presume it's still at the hotel.

Would have been 5 star if the took Amex Loft rooms were fab , nick copy the design. Jo -Mary on reception was a delight - we should hire her - efficient smart and nice. Lack of Amex pissed me off no end A - first decent hotel I have come across that doesn’t. For a business hotel that is daft.

Problem with booking, but front desk did het magic and 1 room was upgrade at no extra cost to a loft room. Room was fantastic. Felt like. Celebrities . Sky lounge and cocktails was the best I’ve ever had stunning views, and friendly staff

The rating options goes from average to very good and The Weinberg is neither.... We spent 3 nights and it is a beautiful, stylish and comfortable hotel. It should get full marks but due to a couple of issues it sadly falls short. Although the staff are friendly, the service is slow and just not on point for a luxury establishment. The staff it is a hit and miss. It feels as if they just does not have that preemptive touch to know what a guest might need or pay enough attention. On more than one occasion , you will get served and then not see anybody again unless you wave your hand to catch their attention. One early evening I phoned the bar for drinks as room service but was told "sorry can't help, I am alone with nobody to assist" Breakfast from the menu is good but the continental breakfast offering is lacking. They have a system where you can't help or dish up for yourself and have to ask someone behind a counter. It is cumbersome and time consuming, when it gets busy you stand in a queue to be eventually assisted. I also got the impression the staff have been briefed to hand out the bare minimum.... One slice of cheese , one piece of ham etc The rooms are beautifully decorated but just not practical. Example, the stand for you suitcase is at the room entrance as per normal but the clothes cupboard is situated on the opposite side of the room. There is also no place to put your toiletry bag next to the basin in the bathroom, once again on the opposite side of the bathroom there is some sort of cabinet. Last gripe is that taxis are not allowed on to the premises to drop you off, in our case we had to do some shopping for supplies and we ended up having to carry our shopping bags up the hill from the road. (Right past staff who didn't even bat a eyelid to offer assistance) Maybe I am too critical but as the type of establishment they market themselves at and the price point they charge, certain services should be of higher standard. A truly beautiful hotel. Luxury at its best. Spotlessly clean with everything one could possibly need. We had an excellent breakfast. We are booking again in October this year when we do another Namibian trip to Etosha. I highly recommend this hotel - it is a treat.

The airport is a 38kms drive from the town centre and then into the welcoming environment of this hotel. Cases were whisked away to our room, and we soon followed. A lovely room, comfortable bed and large bathroom. All towels and linen were of excellent quality and there was a spacious shower/bathroom. After checking out various options, we decided to eat in their Sky Lounge; an excellent choice not only for the cocktails, wines and food options but also a great view and we were rewarded with a double rainbow. We ordered three ‘tapas’ dishes which were a lot larger than we expected! We had time the next morning for the continental breakfast, which was very good, sitting in the attractive courtyard. Only an overnight stay before flying onto Maun. Great staff and a fabulous start to our holiday in Namibia. Thanks to all staff members.

Lovely room, very comfortable. Food/ Restaurant options a bit disappointing unless you are happy with burger, steak or sushi. The staff was hit and miss and not what you would expect from a place like this. It's far far away from being a 5* hotel. Overall a good place to stay for a night but don't expect a 5 star hotel as advertised.
