Hotele w: Liyan Station, Yilan

Don't be fooled by its old exterior! The rooms have been renovated and furnished. There are convenience stores nearby and it's also a short walk from a street with lots of food options. It's quite a walk from the train station though so be prepared if you are dragging large suitcases.

Friendly staff, nice location (close to railroad station, night market, shopping, etc.), free WiFi and breakfast. No window, though.

The hotel is a short less than 5 min walk from the Yilan train station which makes it a good base to visit different attractions in the Yilan area. It's rather old and items in the bathroom are breaking down. The hotel doesn't provide toilet paper which I guess is due to the weak flush that tends to choke. The breakfast is ok, good spread but nothing spectacular. There is a free games room in the basement and a MacDonalds on first floor which makes it good for kids

We booked two rooms, one large family room and one couple room. The prior one is spacious, very well designed and it even has an amazing sauna room which was a nice touch to the stay. The kids had loads of fun and laughter. The beds are huge so it can easily fit 4 and maybe even 5 for younger kids. The later is a bit worn down with wallpaper coming off, stains around the tub and just an overall worn down feel to it. So if you can afford a few hundred NT$ more, I would suggest staying at the bigger room to enjoy a good full stay. Breakfast is delicious 😋

It was a good location. However, it was difficult to bring the luggage up because you need to carry thru stairs before you reached the elevator. The bed is quite hard also.

Great hotel and it’s a little pricey but definitely worth it. My kids had a blast and they have wonderful memories with all the facilities that were available to them. Also tried their famous roast duck in the in house restaurant and it was delicious. Will recommend to families looking for great memories.

The hotel was renovated so I was happy about that it wasn't an old nasty place. The receptionists were quite polite and speak English.
