An excellent overnight stay in this charming hotel.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The bunker room made for a unique and comfortable stay and loved the little touches like the KitKats in the room on arrival. The only small complaint would be the shower head sprayed out, the whole bathroom floor to become soaked, but nothing major at all. We’ll definitely be back and recommending to to anyone staying in York.

The only problem was that our room was noisy at night with the air conditioning/heating coming on and off and waking us up. I think we must have been near the boiler. I'd like to stay at the Churchill again as the staff were very helpful and it's in an excellent location, but I would need to know the room would be quieter at night.

Really quirky and homely feel. Was slightly surprised at the size of the room; thought it would be slightly bigger when I booked slightly bigger room.
Staff are superb. Very informative and happy to help. The domes / pods to eat in are excellent.
Close to the city centre with only 10min walk. Car park on site is the best priced in York and well worth it if you can get a space.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is lovely and very impressive. We didn’t eat there but the food looked amazing as we had drinks at the bar very good stay for me and my wife will stay again in the future
