Yufuin, who wanted to stay before. Renewed with the total design of etsuji Mitooka who worked on the luxury sightseeing train. It is an inn, but it has a chair and bed, simple but nice design, and it was perfect for us who did not like people coming in and out of the room. The meal was more comfortable and good than the room meal because it was served in another room. The dishes were also devised and beautiful and delicious. When I asked the young female staff, I was impressed by the answer to everything except the dishes. We couldn't leave food, so we were full of pots, because we had a lot of pots. The inn had a lot of dinner and breakfast, so the inn continued for two days was a little bit painful when it was old. The bath was a family, and there was a large open-air bath and I was able to relax. It was conveniently located to walk around Lake Jinpu and Yuno Tsubo Kaido Road, and it was fun to enjoy shopping and enjoy it. I would like to stay when I visit Yufuin someday.

Add salt, sauce, and miso ３ to your liking. Sashimi, small bowl (toriten), hachiyu tofu, boiled vegetables, rice, miso soup, incense, and warabi Mochi. All of them were very delicious, and I agreed with the first time I met them at the same table, and I would like to come again if I had the opportunity, and I would like to stay this time.

Book a plan to use the room on a day trip between the check-out and the inn as a heat stroke countermeasure. When I put the car in the parking lot, the staff in the rain came to pick me up to the car with an umbrella, and I felt very grateful. About 20 minutes walk from Yufuin Station. It is located at the foot of Yufu Dake. The stay was ”Hotei Ma” in front of the front building. It is a thatched roof building, with 10 tatami mats living room, 7.5 tatami mats bedroom, and open-air bath (no inner hot water in the room). The lowest temperature was below freezing, but it is not cold because there is air conditioning, fan heater and floor heating in each room. Dinner breakfast is at the dining room. Because a private room is prepared, it is safe even in the corona pass, but there is no feature in the meal of the heart. The Bungo beef is also served with the baked leaves. I entered the family open-air bath (reservation required) that the view was good, but when it caught in the hot water, the enclosure planting for blocking the gaze from the circumference was disturbed, and Yufu Dake only saw the top part a little. About 50000 yen (before various discounts) for 2 meals per night. The atmosphere of the room and the service of the staff were satisfactory, but it is difficult to say that it was suitable for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay here no doubt about it. The hostel was very clean and the onsen was just lovely. Private room was also nice and inexpensive. However if you have difficulty sleeping like I do please be advised that the walls are very thin! There are earplugs on sale at the hostel please bring eyemask! Also be prepared for lots of loud noises from 8am! Staff literally shouting and using the vacuum cleaner. So if you want to relax until check out I don't think this is the place. We enjoyed the owner singing to us as we left very nice touch

During my one-night stay there, a word kept popping up on my mind, ‘comfortable’! Thanks to the team of Sansou Murata! Pictures on the website or taken by the travelers don’t do it justice as the comfort and convenience brought about by the setting and decor there just cannot be captured. Nearly all rooms of our villa - Higashi- have big windows or glass doors opened up to the little courtyard surrounded the villa. It provides plenty of natural light which we appreciate. As other reviewers may be aware, the plantation of the courtyard really needs maintenance and they are just like growing on their own without any aesthetic consideration, though it’s not a major concern to us. Our bedroom faced onto a wood. We closed the screen of the room’s glass window at night. When we slid the screen open in the morning, to our surprise, we saw 3 deer resting at the pouch of our room. As we slid the screen open they were scared and ran towards the wood at once. I guess they had spent a night near our villa to keep themselves warm. What a wonderful sight! Service was excellent, as expected. All prior communications with the establishment was noted and every request was arranged in order without the need to remind them. Everything was arranged seamlessly from the pick up from the Yufuin bus terminal to our lunch arrangement after check out. We also received a little gift for our wedding anniversary, it’s a pleasant surprise! Every staff we encountered at Sansou Murata was nice, helpful and friendly. Everyone was doing a great job though I only caught the name of Saki san who showed us our room, Ika san who served our dinner and Ryouka san who served our breakfast. Tans bar is a chill place to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the music streamed out from the theatre speaker. My husband even requested to stay there longer instead of going back to our villa. The freshly squeezed juice there was really good, and what’s more, it’s complimentary for guests!!! I really loved that treat. P-roll at ¥620 for 1/3 cut is a bargain for me as I really enjoy having it at the relaxing atmosphere of Tans bar rather than buying it as a takeaway at B Speak or on the train. The prices of the massage, of the drink menu at dinner time as well as the chocolates and souvenirs sold at the complex were surprisingly reasonable. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg like those resorts at Maldives or some ryokans. Sansou Murata, as good as it can be, may not be the cup of tea for those who prefer open air bath that blends into the nature or traditional Japanese style lodging. I, however, personally love it and would like bring my mom there in the near future.

I chose Yufuin Yubel Hotel this time after looking at the reviews. The evaluation score was 2.5 points, rounded up to 3 points. The location was deep within Lake Kinrinko and within walking distance of Yunotsubo Kaido. I left my luggage at the hotel and headed out for a walk, but on the day of my stay, many of the shops on Yunotsubo Kaido were closed due to heavy rain from yesterday. However, there were many tourists from overseas due to tour schedules. Pull up from your stroll and check in! After taking a bath in the room and resting for a while, we headed to the dinner venue. I received the appearance of Seki horse mackerel. At other onjukus, Seki horse mackerel and Seki mackerel have a certification label that is a branded product, but Yufuin Yubell did not have any labeling. There was a menu, but there was no explanation from the serving staff. I felt disappointed. The next morning, I was waiting for rice and miso soup to be served for breakfast, but they never served it, so I got impatient and rang the doorbell to have it served. I felt uncomfortable since this morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This would suit travelers who drive, with free carpark. It is about 15 mins walk downhill to Yufuin mainstreet. The outdoor hotsprings were good and well maintained. When we were there on 7 Feb 2023 it wasn’t crowded so it was really relaxing. I bathed in the evening then next morning again at the different outdoor one (there were two). The breakfast was good with a Japanese set together with free flow of juices and coffee. Reception has good service too. We didn’t try the dinner there but had dinner at the mainstreet. The room was large for three guests with 3 single beds and very comfortable.
