It lacks the formality of a hotel and instead offers the warmth of a home and the relaxation of a vacation. This is definitely a hidden gem and a must-stay guesthouse when visiting Dongjiang Lake."

All my emotional wrinkles were smoothed out, leaving behind a stable core. Not only the food and accommodation, but also the hotel's cultural experience programs were thoughtfully curated. The hotel also has its own dock with direct access to the Xiaodong River Visitor Center on the other side. "The room was nice, the guesthouse's decor was beautiful, and the windows were large. The view from the window was truly captivating. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant. However… as a newly opened guesthouse, the renovation smell was still very strong. Air purifiers were placed in the rooms and hallways to remove the odor, and the hallway was heavily scented. I initially thought the strong smell was normal for a new establishment, but when I went out to do laundry that evening, I discovered that the guesthouse hadn't even finished renovations before opening. The doors to several rooms further in were open, and the bedding, furniture, and other items were all in disarray and very dark. I was quite scared and only glanced at them before leaving without taking any photos. I guess my boyfriend and I were the only unfortunate guests that day. The price was high, it absorbed formaldehyde, and it opened before the renovations were even complete – it's outrageous! The guesthouse owner was too eager to cash in, disregarding the health of their customers."
