Well located hotel just 2-3 mins walk from Pitlochary Station exit to hotel back gate 👍🏻.
Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in providing/recommend places of interests.
Breakfast is a must have, pretty good with traditional dining area.
Room are clean, well maintained and spacious (room facing Garden). The Dam and Fish Ladder is just 20mins walk from the hotel.
Thank you Fisher team!
This is an amazing historic hotel, it's a beautiful castle on a huge lot. Parking is convenient, and the view is stunning. It's also right next to the Blair Athols distillery, so perfect place to stay if you're visiting the distillery and want to spend some time in the nearby area. The small town is also very accessible from this hotel.
The only issue is it's a very old hotel, so the facilities are not the best, and the renovation is very dated. The other thing is the service is not the best, the waitress doesn't really want to serve customers. Be ready for a little frustration due to that. Otherwise it's a great place to enjoy a weekend.
Room was great, bathroom was just okay. Breakfast was almost an ordeal. For the price we would give it 4 out of 5 but it was like having breakfast on a round about, bathroom was tired, the low point of the room.

This venue is really a hidden gem up to a point , the Chef and kitchen ( paticularly the Haddock and Poached Eggs at Breakfast which is Michelin Star level ) the spa and swimming pool are kept to a good standard of hygene , however there is a serious problem with service which is evident from the staff behind the bar ( Saturday 4th May to be specific ) where it was plainly evident for all of the guests seated in the lounge to witness the grief that was being given to the Restaurant Host and other waiting staff by the two individulas behind the bar who were making their life's a misery by poor attitude and unhelpfulness when rightfully they were chasing restaurant drink orders which were painfully slow on deliverance attributed totally to the ineptness of the bar staff . Its about time that Providence Hotels boss Mr Neil Hughes and Blantyre Capital and Fairtree Alternative Real Estate were made aware of this as it is not fair on the efforts made by the other staff who are being dragged down needlessly by the bar staffs under performance , ineptness and demeanour .
We enjoyed are stay at Mercure in Perth
It was central, yet quiet.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The staff were pleasant and helpful.
We also liked the hotel bar, a nice cosy atmosphere.
We would definitely stay there again.
Dobry

GGuest UserWhat a lovely weekend stay at this most characterful resort hotel. A great vibe among the team leading to a friendly, professional and courteous guest experience from arrival and check-in, to dining, evening of drinks around the real fire and a beautiful breakfast following a comfortable restful night in a clean room and lovely freshen up shower in the morning. Thank you Team Atholl Palace, you provided us with an exemplary experience of Scottish Highland hospitality, Iain Sutherland

GGuest UserA lovely stay with an upgrade to a cottage, all quickly and efficiently arranged. This was a trip in honour of an annual expedition for my late wife Caroline and I to the Pitlochry area for autumn. Caroline always wanted to stay in the lovely cottages so it was fate and her sparkle that helped with the upgrade.
Food is incredible and a wide selection of choices along with fantastic, friendly service and drinks. Very good to eat and sit by the river in warmer times. Terrific breakfast too.
The cottage was spacious and kept warm. Very comfy. They are not new so you must allow for some quirky spaces and layouts. It was lovely to have that space to relax.
Port Na Craig is a 10/15m walk from the town over the suspension bridge or the dam. It's a beautiful walk but be careful near water. Pitlochry is a beautiful town that Caroline and I have enjoyed for years and I'll continue to honour her by visiting. Thanks to the Port Na Craig team for making me so welcome and for the prosecco for toasting Caroline. Much appreciated.

Ratings for all except service based on website. rating on SERVICE based on experience
for reasons entirely out of my control, I had to cancel my stay 24hrs beforehand. I called to let them know. I advised I had to cancel and the reply was (word for word)
” ok , that's still chargeable”. NO ' I'm sorry to hear that' NO ”maybe we can find another date so you don't lose your money”... no ' we can't refund you but do you want a credit on account'.
if I'd have phoned 12 hours earlier my money would have been refunded or I could have amended my booking.
the blame was put on TRIP as I was told ' you booked through them and they wont help you.
So I'll be avoiding this place when I go up for my trip, and I'd advise others to avoid places with staff as uninterested as here.
GGuest UserKenmore is a beautiful location and the area is a stunning area of natural beauty in Scotland. That said, having stayed at this resort before, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance of not only the lodges but the leisure centre. The lodge itself had peeling wall paper and chips around light switches and old frying pans, all things which are easily maintained and/or changed. The pool area is lovely but pool was cold and one of only two showers were out of order due to a cracked base in the ladies. This was a relatively cheap break but despite this I do feel the Kenmore club is looking a little shabby and in much need of an overhaul or at least some renovation to keep up with the neighbouring hotels and lodges which are more modern and well kept
GGuest UserA lovely hotel in a quiet setting. Bar service was a bit slow but available most times during the day. Food service was ok. Breakfast was good… wide variety… although fruit could have been fresher, ( apple was brown). Dinner at night was ok. Entertainer was good, enjoyed his music and cheerfulness. Difficult to get a taxi on the day we left and was pouring with rain. Staff were really helpful and took us to the train for which we were really grateful! I suggest booking a cab the day before.
Our room was comfortable and a good size. However the bathroom window curtains need attention. A shower curtain pinned up with press studs wasn’t appropriate for security and privacy!
We would stay again.
GGuest UserTwo bedrooms, two bathrooms, divided into upper and lower floors, with a large balcony where you can dine on the balcony table! It has its own parking space, which is convenient for parking. The lawn is very large, suitable for parents and children to hang out! The location is a bit remote, but the overall environment is very good👍
GGuest UserNot the easiest to find if not using satnav but in a very tranquil location. Large carpark. Nearest shops about an 8 minute drive away. Very nice hotel but rooms could be done being modernised. Bed a bit too firm for us. Very welcoming staff.
Very good breakfast with a good choice and made to order hot food. Did not have dinner.
Can go for a quiet walk along the river.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stayed as a family but the service and food in the buffet style restaurant at night was very poor as food was cold and we were finished eating before we received our drinks. We eventually managed to speak to a manager about it. However, we have stayed before and ate in other restaurants and they were good. Upgrades to winter garden bar were nice but again service for drinks very slow. Overall a 6.5/10 stay.
