The room was comfortable. The breakfast was great and offered a nice variety. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was facing the road, but the noise wasn’t an issue at all — we slept really well. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Lovely hotel near the main town, quiet at night, good bar and food is plentiful, quite large portions. Breakfast was very good, with tasty Irish sausages. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty to do in the town, a short walk away, or drive. There is free parking at the hotel.

Headfort Arms is a perfect base for a short break or for exploring the local historic areas. Rooms are big and spacious, food is excellent, staff very friendly and all at a very reasonable price.

GGuest UserWe spent 2 days in the hotel for Birthday and soon to be mum. The hotel is nice and clean. The room is big (bit outdated though) and clean, with all amenities and very accessible. (No sound on tv) The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and various. Dinner was fine. Only thing is that reception never told us that we should book a table at the main restaurant, and it was fully booked so we ended up having dinner at the bar downstairs. It was fine and it is pubs food, not what we wanted. The Spa is very nice, I had a massage, it was amazing, haven't felt like this for a long time. Overall, we had a nice stay, but better to come on weekdays. It gets really packed on weekends.

GGuest UserOur stay at Lough Bawn House was a truly wonderful experience. The location is beyond compare. The beautiful period house is nestled in a completely private setting overlooking rolling fields and a crystal clear lake and surrounded by century old trees. Verity, the owner, provided us with a beautiful breakfast every morning with lots of home made bread and jams and a delicious dinner that had seasonal vegetables from her organic garden. We hated to leave and hope to be back soon. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a little slice of heaven!
