„Dotarłem do hotelu o 22:00 i okazało się, że recepcja jest już zamknięta. Dzwonkiem do drzwi zadzwoniłem do recepcji i powiedziano mi, że moja karta do pokoju jest w skrzynce na hasło. Szukałem jej ponad dziesięć minut, ale nie mogłem jej znaleźć. Dopiero dzięki pomocy życzliwej osoby w końcu znalazłem tę ciężko wywalczoną kartę! Gdybym nie znał dobrze angielskiego, prawdopodobnie musiałbym spać na ulicy. 😅”

„The room was really good for what we needed. Was just hard washing dishes in the bathroom. The lift was broken, which is out of your control, however it would have made it easier to be able to access the stairs. Other than that, thanks for the stay, would recommend”

„Jako hotel średniej lub wyższej klasy należący do grupy Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton Wellington spełnił moje oczekiwania. Hotel szczyci się doskonałą lokalizacją, w samym sercu tętniącego życiem centrum Wellington, tuż po drugiej stronie ulicy od stacji kolejki linowej, którą koniecznie trzeba zobaczyć, i w zasięgu spaceru od większości atrakcji Wellington (choć centrum Wellington jest małe, więc spacerowicze nie powinni go przegapić). Ze względu na wiek hotelu nie mogę dać mu maksymalnej oceny za udogodnienia, ale wnętrze jest artystycznie zaprojektowane – zwłaszcza winda, która jest dość wyjątkowa. Obsługa, począwszy od ciasteczka, które zawsze otrzymujemy w DoubleTree by Hilton, jest satysfakcjonująca, a komunikacja sprawna i szybka. Śniadanie to standardowy bufet kontynentalny, z ograniczonym wyborem i przeciętnym smakiem, więc nie będę go szczegółowo komentować (kawa była w porządku). Jedynym minusem jest to, że niektóre pokoje nie były sprzątane na najwyższym poziomie. Wokół stanowisk pracy widoczne było nagromadzenie kurzu, co nie wpłynęło na ogólną użyteczność, ale negatywnie wpłynęło na wygląd. Mam nadzieję, że problem ten zostanie rozwiązany w przyszłości. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, pobyt był przyjemny i satysfakcjonujący. *Uwaga: Prosimy pamiętać, że przy zameldowaniu pobierana jest kaucja w wysokości 50 NZD za noc (kaucja ta może zostać wykorzystana na pokrycie innych wydatków poniesionych podczas pobytu). Ponieważ wymagamy karty kredytowej (członkowie Hilton Honors), akceptujemy wyłącznie karty płatnicze; płatności zbliżeniowe, takie jak Apple Pay, nie są akceptowane. Prosimy o przygotowanie tego przed przyjazdem. (Kolejna anegdota z mojego zameldowania: Podczas mojego pobytu w pobliżu Wellington, około 40 km od epicentrum, miało miejsce trzęsienie ziemi o magnitudzie 4,5. Leżąc w łóżku, czułem lekkie drżenie przez kilka sekund. Jednak kiedy zapytałem o to personel recepcji przy wyjeździe, odpowiedzieli, że nic nie poczuli. Wygląda na to, że Nowozelandczycy podchodzą do wulkanów i trzęsień ziemi ze spokojem.)”

„Room is very clean. Daily room service is good. Mattresses' comfort could be better. Location is great, close to Lambton Quay, lots of shops and restaurants. We particularly like the luggage storage, very convenient. Will stay again. Front desk staff very helpful.”

„Nice size room. Some plugs are not working and cannot get fixed during our stay. Staff responded quickly and offered to change room but we didn't accept as we don't want to repack our luggage. Provided an extensioon cord. TV was not working intermittly and seemed to be a common occurrence. Seems like all problems are electrically related. Staffs are very nice and respond very quickly.”

„Perfectly adequate sized rooms, but space is not generous. Shared bathrooms can be a nuisance if you are busting. Really needs separate toilets. Quiet street (for a central city) and easy to walk to from Courtney Place/Cuba St, etc. Very attentive concierge. Very good value - you get what you pay for.”

„I wanted to stay somewhere close to public transport. The main train station is just a stone’s throw away. It is near the end of Lambton Quay- the main drag in Wellington. Also for my friends who live in the outer suburbs of Wellington this hotel is close to the freeway and an easy access to collect me. The room is really clean and spacious and there is a kitchenette with stove and microwave to heat up/cook food. The bathroom is huge and has an accessible shower which is quite impressive.”

„A divine experience glamping in a vineyard! ❤️ Had the good fortune of stumbling across Martinborough on my way to Wellington. It's a quaint place with a variety of well appointed cabins with gas fireplaces and spa baths just outside the cute village of cafes, shops and wineries. Their team is kind and hardworking. 💯 Bring your own food since you'll have a kitchenette and food can be limited during the day since most places don't open until evening or the weekends for tourists. Also, recommend driving since it's both expensive and challenging to get around outside of the limited free shuttle. Bikes are available to rent for $40NZD 🤑🤑”

„Stayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference. Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere. The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable. One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in. Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight. Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.”

„It’s a good hotel not far away from the center and the main streets. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. I honestly can’t understand the bad reviews, it was a more budget option and therefore not the Hilton. Only thing that has a bad taste is that the building got a fine because it’s “Earthquake Prone”.”
