„Purposely selecting this hotel for our first night because there's a clinic inside the hotel which feels secured upon flight arrival. Hotel was big with ******* design. Love the warm greetings from the staff and appreciate their patience and reminders of slow pace to minimise the mountain sickness. Room was incredibly spacious. Staff was so helpful to drive and lead us to the room. Showing all the equipments operations and help delivering our heavy luggages. The room has everything you need. Definitely perfect to spend your first night here after a long daunting journey. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. You could recharge and rehydrate yourself with everything you can think of when it comes to breakfast. Both Chinese, ******* and Western. A big thumb up and highly recommend.”

„We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.”

Many people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

Staying at the Songtsam Bamei Lhaka Hotel was an amazing encounter with nature and warmth. My Snow Mountain Lake View Suite had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, offering a direct view of the sacred Basongcuo Lake. The water was like a mirror, reflecting the snow-capped mountains, and the morning light pierced through the clouds, painting the lake surface like a moving masterpiece unfolding right outside my window. The hotel's private pier lay peacefully by the lake, providing exclusive, undisturbed views of the stunning sunrise and sunset. The ******* butler offered hot ginger tea and a Hada, which felt like a genuine welcome, not just a formality. An oxygen concentrator was promptly delivered to my room, instantly easing my altitude sickness worries. The rich ******* breakfast in the morning, paired with a heartwarming tremella soup in the evening, showed thoughtful attention to every detail. The entire room had comfortable floor heating, and the latex mattress provided excellent sleep. Outside, the starry sky and morning mist alternated, making even breathing feel lighter. This isn't just a hotel; it's a sanctuary for the soul amidst the ******* mountains and waters.

It was a bit beyond my expectation. I didn't expect that I could stay in such a good hotel at this price. The hotel is quite big and has complete facilities. There is a washing machine with a dryer on the first floor, which is just right for washing the dirty clothes from the previous few days. It is really practical. The room felt very clean and spacious, and there was an oxygen concentrator in the room. The most thoughtful thing is that there is body lotion on the sink. My skin was so dry after staying here for a few days, so I used it right away. The restaurant on the sixth floor is very unique. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the snow-capped mountains opposite while having breakfast in the morning. There is also a celebrity helicopter check-in point outside the restaurant, a starry sky restaurant, and a rooftop swimming pool (it feels like no one goes there because it's too cold). I arrived early yesterday and went to the gym for a short run. The weather was good, so I ran while looking at the scenery outside the window. The only downside is that there is no travel guide at the front desk, so you have to do your own research.

The location is excellent, close to the holy lake and convenient for cycling around it. You get a great view of Mount Kailash from anywhere in the hotel. We stayed in a suite, which had a hot spring bath with rose petals in the room – the water temperature was just right and very comfortable. The shower had great pressure, was very comfortable, and the temperature was stable. We had a very comfortable stay. The front desk lady was incredibly warm, helpful, and went out of her way for us, even helping with our luggage. They offer free ******* clothing for photo ops, and she enthusiastically helped us put them on. The public dishes were a bit bland for my taste as I love spicy food, so the owner specially stir-fried a chili pork dish for us and didn't even charge for it. It was incredibly delicious, and I was very touched. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. If it weren't for our schedule, we really would have loved to stay a few more extra days. It was truly a treat. Many thanks to the front desk lady and the owner.

1. The hotel is in Suosong Village, and the room has a good view. I was lucky to see Rizhao Jinshan. 2. The service attitude is good. Butler-style service throughout the whole process. 3. The wagyu hot pot on the sixth floor is highly recommended. The ingredients are fresh and the photos are good. 4. The breakfast meals can be improved.

🏠Bomi Songtsam Linka Hotel is located on the edge of Guxiang Lake. The location is quite good. Unfortunately, during the dry season, the water level of Guxiang Lake is too low. If the weather is good, the snow-capped mountains opposite and next to it are clearly visible and very beautiful😊. 🌧️The weather was not good on the day of arrival, so the hotel warmly provided hot towels, biscuits and ginger tea; you can get free postcards at the front desk, which are all pictures of Linzhi scenery. You can entrust the hotel to mail them for one yuan postage; luggage will be collected There are staff who help deliver the food to the room, so you don’t need to do it yourself; the hotel also provides afternoon tea, but unfortunately I missed it because I was busy checking out the attractions. Evening tea can be delivered to the room, which is the evening after-dinner dessert (white fungus and red bean paste), which is different every day. It's quite delicious, not too sweet. The hotel has a swimming pool. After all, it's on the plateau, so not many people will enjoy it😛. 🍃A group of six people booked a deluxe family room with lake view. The suite has two floors in total, with a large bed room on the first floor. The balcony faces Guxiang Lake and the snow-capped mountains. Highly recommended! It’s a good idea to choose this hotel when visiting the thousand-year-old salt fields! The hotel is very close to the Mangkang Salt Well and is only a 10-minute drive away. We drove 2 hours to get here after going to the Kawagebo Observation Deck the day before. We had a delicious dinner directly at the hotel restaurant, tasted red wine, and soaked in hot springs. The breakfast the next day was also very rich, and the staff were patient and enthusiastic. It was really a five-star experience! We also made an appointment to visit the winery the next day, and the lady in picture 6 took us there, with professionalism👍👍👍
