⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Family Escape at Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel, Anji County (11–13 July 2026) We recently stayed at Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel in Anji County from 11–13 July 2026, and overall it was a wonderful family experience. This hotel is much more than just a place to stay — it is a complete family holiday destination designed around children, imagination and creating unforgettable memories. 🌟 Exceptional Service from Shi Jun — A True Credit to the Hotel Before arriving, I honestly considered cancelling our reservation due to communication difficulties. However, one person completely changed our experience — Shi Jun from the front desk team. Shi Jun demonstrated truly exceptional hospitality. Through WeChat, he patiently communicated with us, answered every question and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He helped us when we were close to giving up on the reservation, arranged room changes, helped find a suitable place for me to work, assisted when we needed to visit the hospital, and continued to care about every detail of our family’s needs. His professionalism, kindness and genuine concern for guests represent the very best of hospitality. Shi Jun is a young man who is a true credit to Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel. For his service alone, I would give 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 🌟 Beautiful, Spacious and Immaculately Clean Rooms The room was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The family design created a warm and welcoming environment, with excellent bedding, a well-maintained bathroom and plenty of space for parents and children. For families travelling with young children, cleanliness and comfort are essential — and Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel truly delivered. 🍳 Excellent and Abundant Breakfast The breakfast was another highlight. There was a fantastic selection of food suitable for both adults and children. The variety was impressive and provided a great start to each day. 👨👩👧 A Wonderful Family-Friendly Environment The greatest strength of this hotel is its understanding of families. Everything is designed with children in mind, creating a place where children can feel excited, happy and full of imagination. Our child especially enjoyed the family atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see so many families creating happy memories together. ❤️ Great Potential with Some Areas for Improvement The hotel has an excellent foundation: beautiful rooms, a fantastic concept, wonderful family facilities and a great location. With some improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best family resorts in Anji. 🌍 International Guest Communication As an international guest, communication was sometimes challenging. Unfortunately, none of the staff members we met could speak English, and some were reluctant to use translation tools. Basic English support or greater willingness to use translation applications would greatly improve the experience for overseas visitors. 🧑🍳 Breakfast Service Professionalism Although breakfast was excellent, we noticed the chef using his phone in the breakfast area during service time. For a family resort with such great potential, maintaining professionalism in all public areas is important. 🌙 Night Reception Service At approximately 5:00 am, we needed assistance because our room key required reactivation. Unfortunately, nobody was immediately available at reception. A 24-hour guest service presence would improve the overall experience. 🚗 Arrival Experience The entrance creates the first impression. We noticed the security staff member appeared distracted using his phone and smoking rather than actively welcoming guests. A more professional arrival service would better reflect the quality of this beautiful resort. 🌧️ Typhoon Weather — More Indoor Activities Needed During our stay, a typhoon affected the weather and some outdoor facilities were closed. The stay at this hotel led to both bad and good/expected experiences. To begin by the bad, the reception/checkin was terrible (I had to wait for a long time and was forced to ask them two times to check me in, the breakfast restaurant was chaotic (I had to go back and forward, left and right, to find what I wanted to eat and drink, and so was the situation for everybody else, a huge number people forced to do the same…) which did not give a good start for the day, the staff in the lobby were not willing to tell me where the nearest convenient store was located… And now to the good/expected. The location is great: a 2 minute walking distance to the West Lake, a large number of restaurants, shops, cafes, Kerry Center, etc. The rooms was clean and quite and the bed comfortable. The cleaning staff were nice and helpful and the checkout was fast and pleasant.

During the National Day holiday, I brought my whole family to Qiandao Lake for a vacation. I deliberated for a long time when choosing a hotel and finally booked the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort. My only thought afterward was: it truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in Qiandao Lake. First, let's talk about the scenery. The entire hotel feels like it grew out of Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xianshan Peninsula. The lake view isn't just a peek from a certain room; everywhere you go, it's like a painting. In the morning, standing on the room's balcony, before the mist dissipated, the distant islands layered one after another. When the sun rose, the entire lake surface turned golden-green, like gold powder sprinkled on a traditional ink wash painting. In the evening, sitting by the lighthouse, the lake's surface slowly transformed from orange-red to deep blue. My family and I didn't need to say a word, just watched the changing light. We could watch birds and clouds from the balcony for half an hour. On the way back, my child kept saying, ”Dad, let's come here again next time.” This kind of scenery isn't for 'checking in'; it makes you slow down. Next, the breakfast. In the past, when staying at resort hotels, breakfast was usually just 'edible.' This time, I was truly impressed. The variety is one thing, but the key is that every item is of high quality. The freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs were cooked perfectly, with tender whites and runny yolks. Local ingredients like the Qiandao Lake dried preserved vegetable扣烧饼 (kou shao bing) were prepared even more meticulously than in outside restaurants. My son was particularly fond of the Western bread and salad station, dragging us there for refills every day. What's even more commendable is how quickly dishes were replenished. Even with so many guests during the holiday, popular dishes were refilled promptly, and the staff were diligent in clearing plates, so our table never piled up with dirty dishes. The concierge service was the most pleasant surprise. Upon arrival, the concierge took our luggage, and after the front desk assigned our room, they promptly delivered it, which was very reassuring. One detail particularly touched me: we took a bus out once, and the young lady at the entrance actually gave water to the taxi driver and instructed him to take good care of us and get us to our destination. If the hotel treats taxi drivers like this, I imagine they would be even more attentive to guests 😊 There were so many activities at the hotel that we couldn't get enough. On the afternoon of our first day, we participated in the Xianshan hike. The route was well-designed, with moderate intensity, offering lake views and forests along the way, so even children could manage it. We also learned about the origin of Xianshan, which has a love story: 'Only envy mandarin ducks, not immortals' – that's where the name Xianshan comes from. On the second morning, my son participated in the hotel's parent-child nature craft activity and didn't want to leave. In the afternoon, I took my wife to a nap activity, and she came back and told me, 'It's been a long time since I've had such peace and quiet.' In the evening, we swam in the pool for a while, and then watched a movie. We were initially worried that two days would be boring, but our schedule was packed, and we still felt like we wanted more. Whether it's activities for seniors, children, or individual interests for couples, everyone can find something to enjoy. This is what a resort hotel should be like. Finally, the conclusion: I've stayed at many hotels in Qiandao Lake, but the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort is truly unique. The price isn't cheap, but every penny you spend shows its value, unlike some hotels where you pay a high price only to find they only win on 'reputation.' For family trips, traveling with elderly parents or children, or just wanting to find a place to unwind for a few days, choosing this place won't disappoint. P.S. The hotel's bougainvillea are very beautiful.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re in town for a fair or exhibition, with plenty of shopping areas nearby. The room was clean and completely free of cigarette smell, which I really appreciated. Another thing I loved was the washing machine with an automatic drying function. It was extremely convenient, especially if you’re staying for several days, as you can wash and dry your clothes without having to go anywhere else. The staff were excellent — very welcoming, friendly, and polite. Their English was also very good, which made communication easy, and they were always happy to help throughout my stay. I was especially impressed by their professionalism and hospitality. The price was also very reasonable considering the location, facilities, service, and overall experience. Overall, I had a great stay here and was very impressed with both the hotel and the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room is beautiful, you've seen that already, but here's my genuine experience that I hope helps set your expectations. Overall, bare minimum service. There is no proper front desk reception, and I had to remind them to set up the butler group chat the day before arrival because there were no instructions. Upon arrival, the main door was locked. Someone eventually came and brought my luggage up to the room, and that was it. No friendly chats, no personal touch, no estate introduction or tour, no other instructions, just a few pre-set WeChat images. The butler is quite responsive on chat but often provides incomplete answers. Service at breakfast was cold. No one welcomes you when you walk in, and there was no proper introduction to what was available. There was only one staff member at breakfast. He eventually came over and asked which main dish I'd like. There was no mention of Western vs. Chinese options until I overheard someone else's order. Most of the time he was standing at the kitchen entrance using his phone loudly, which made it hard to get his attention. The loud phone noise made the experience quite unpleasant, as I was hoping for a relaxing, quiet breakfast. Food options are very limited for a solo traveller. I ordered ******* for every lunch and dinner. I was quite hungry in the late afternoon and looking forward to the savory snacks in the afternoon tea set. I ordered them to my room and was told the ”chef had a family emergency” and could not prepare the fries and popcorn chicken, though I later saw someone else having the complete set in the lobby. :/ I saw another review a few months back giving feedback that there was no floor mat near the hot tub area. Even though they always respond to negative reviews the same way, saying they will improve, the problem was unfortunately not fixed. You only have one floor mat at the shower area and have to remember to bring it across the room to the hot tub area, or you'll be dripping wet on a slippery floor when you exit the tub. Soundproofing is bad. There is a road right next to the room, and you can hear occasional cars passing by. During my stay, farmers were harvesting bamboo, and you could hear the loud truck engines (which sounded like excavators) and them talking loudly. Mad respect for farmers, just highlighting the downside of the location that you dont see in the nice photos. The whole experience was strange because it felt like other guests were there for photoshoot over an actual hotel stay experience. You could see beautifully dressed ladies posing at every corner of the estate. Nothing wrong with that, just not something I'm used to. The experience is not without positives. The room I stayed in 【云渌】 had an insanely beautiful view, which was what I came for. It directly faces the bamboo forest and mountains. On good days, you'll probably be able to see a nice sunset. The room was clean and had great, thoughtful amenities, including Le Labo toiletries, a small pack of laundry detergent, eye masks, earplugs, and a Dyson hairdryer, to name a few. I also loved the huge private balcony it came with. I was really looking forward to this stay, but coming from another 民宿 I absolutely enjoyed, the service here was a stark contrast. This place has so much potential if they could brush up on the professionalism of the service crew to match the aesthetic and pricetag. I sincerely wish them well and hope the service can be improved.

I've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

Our stay at voco Qiandao Lake Greentown Sunshine Hotel for our Qiandao Lake vacation exceeded our expectations, especially thanks to Lily Hu who assisted us! The hotel is located on its own island, surrounded by the lake on three sides. Opening the balcony doors reveals a panoramic lake view, and the sunset in the evening is absolutely stunning. The infinity pool is also perfect for photos. The guest rooms are spacious and clean, with a minimalist yet luxurious design and a full range of amenities. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options, and dining by the window while overlooking the lake is incredibly therapeutic. Lily Hu was warm and professional, proactively giving us tips on the best spots to watch the sunset, responding promptly throughout our stay, and providing meticulous and thoughtful service. The environment, facilities, and service are all top-notch, making it an excellent choice for a Qiandao Lake getaway. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time, highly recommended!

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

The service here is truly exceptional, nothing to complain about. The facilities are decent, especially considering it's a 16-year-old hotel – they're actually quite good for its age. Of course, choosing Banyan Tree means trusting their service, which has always been top-notch. From the front desk receptionists, the Western and Chinese restaurant staff, to the gondola operators, the electric shuttle drivers, and the housekeeping team, their service-mindedness is consistently excellent.

Hualuxe in Haining is a newly built upscale hotel we really enjoyed to stay. We liked the following: * We had a spacious premium double room, which has separate shower/bath and toilet rooms. Both are remodeled nicely. The tub looks really nice but we didn't use it. There is a separate space with a day bed and a table and a chair, serving as a mini living room. The wet bar features Chinese kong fu tea setup, which is really rare. It is not for coffee lovers since they only have instance coffee. The view from the window is decent with a tree lined gated single family community within view. * The hotel's pool has the best water quality we have experienced from hotel's pools. Even better than some of the best five star hotels. There is a real time water quality monitoring system in the pool area that you can checkout the water quality yourself. Swimming in it is much more enjoyable. Remember that you need to either bring swimming cap or purchase one there to use the pool. * The hot tub in the locker room is very clean and much larger compared to other hot tubs. It is worth the soak. * The hotel lobby has extremely tall ceiling making it grand. It is well decorated, featuring a lobby bar and several traditional tea serving spaces for serenity. There is an outdoor garden that the guests can view from the lobby windows, but you can't go into the garden. * The lobby and hallways are not scented but the air feels clean and there is an air purifier in the room to keep the air clean. * We also got served with a robot to our door when we ordered extra bottles of water. It is high-tech'ish. * The single-use toothpaste is a well-known japanese brand, which is very nice. * we didn't use the gym but it looks well equipped. * the lobby bar opens till 10pm, which is nice for me to host some visitors. Room for improvement: * the sauna in the locker room is not hot enough. Only 51 C when we are there. * the spa is not yet open, they are still looking for a third party operating company. * we didn't try the restaurant but they only have Cantonese cuisine. I wish they had more local food (Haining's specialties). * the service is OK, staff are very friendly but not exceptional in terms of making you feel at home. The mini-fridge seems to have less items than the menu suggests. Perhaps because it doesn't have enough guests to keep the fridges always stuffed. * since it is really new and not yet fully ramped with occupancy, it may feel a bit empty but you can also enjoy the quietness because of that. Overall, it was well worth the money but the location is not exactly close to any tourist spot or metro station or busy shopping mall. You really go there for a nice stay. There is a good seafood restaurant next door, which is a plus.
