We enjoyed the hot springs and the pool, but it was difficult to find our way to the outdoor pool and the South Wing, especially since it was our first time. It would have been nice if there were more amenities in the room.

We enjoyed En Resort, a ski in ski out hotel. Although location is far from JR train station, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle bus service to and fro the train station. Shuttle bus service to the ski centre is on demand, so it is really convenient. Or just ski in ski out from hotel. Facilities at hotel includes public bath, heated swimming pool, complimentary massage chair, table tennis table, coffee at lobby, marshmallow roasting at lobby, laundry room, complimentary ice cream. Ski lift passes and ski/snowboard rental available at hotel. Lockers available too. We stayed for 5 days with half board meals. Totally enjoyed the food. Staff at reception and restaurant are very friendly.

This was a very lovely resort! The view from our room was breathtaking! We called for pick-up from the train station and waited about 10 minutes. The next morning our ride back to the train station was waiting when we arrived in the lobby. The beds were prepared at 6pm. Dinner was reservation only, which we did not have. We walked 20 minutes into the little town to a hidden gem Ramen shop that opened at 7pm and the food was amazing.

Although the location is somewhat remote, the scenery is stunning, overlooking the lake and close to a ski resort. The hotel also features a large public bath, massage chairs, shops, restaurants, and parking. The staff are friendly and speak English. A complimentary ticket to the nearby gardens is included with your check-in. If you have time, it's definitely worth a try.

The free shuttle bus from Fukushima Station to Sansuiso is incredibly convenient; just be sure to book in advance. It's a van, so seating is limited. A taxi would take about 25 minutes. I booked a Japanese-Western style room for one. It had a bed and was a spacious suite, though the layout was a bit odd. The bedroom with the bed had no window but an exhaust fan and was relatively quiet. The Japanese-style room, however, offered the sound of the stream. Both room types are a bit older but offer great value for money and good hygiene. Sansuiso boasts two large public baths, one on the first floor and one on the sixth, plus an open-air bath with fantastic views. The food is good, although dinner service was a bit chaotic. I upgraded to the grilled beef for an extra 2200 yen, and it was incredibly worthwhile – highly recommended for a significant upgrade. After-dinner desserts included a fruit buffet with fresh, high-quality fruit, and the desserts themselves were exceptionally delicious. Breakfast was buffet style, not as good as what I had at Kintaro Onsen. A unique feature here is the abundance of free drinks; there's beer downstairs and a sake buffet in the restaurant. The coffee, however, tasted like it was made with powdered milk, so it was just average. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and one gentleman spoke Chinese and was incredibly patient and thoughtful. They also have renovated, more opulent rooms where the meals would be even better. If you have dinner in a private room, breakfast is also served individually. The experience in such rooms would be significantly enhanced. Among onsen ryokans at a similar price point, the best value for money and most meticulous service I've experienced was at Kisshotei in Kaga Onsen.

The Japanese hot spring hotel is a real inner roll. The hotel has a special car to pick up and drop off from the station. The decoration is very good. The entertainment facilities are also OK. The price is really cheap (maybe off-season). It seems to be all Japanese in the past, or the mountain here is a little bit.

I went to Hawaiians for the first time and stayed at the Monolith Tower. I had a lot of questions, so I called before going and received very detailed answers. The receptionist was also very polite and I had a pleasant stay. It would have been nice if they had lent me a small towel as well. It would also be helpful if they had towels in the Yoichi bath.
