Large hotel located in a very convenient location close to train stations and shopping centres.
There are two breakfast options in which you can choose to eat at a diversified buffet or a set menu in an observation deck on the 14th floor.
The hotel itself is a bit old but renovated inside. Overall, it's very luxurious for the price but the bedding were not too comfortable.
Free shuttle departs every 20 minutes between Kyoto station and the hotel. Super convenient for shopping at the station or transferring large luggages.
Water and ice filler locations are available on each floor. The gym cost extra to use. Luggage delivery is possible within the hotel as well (cash only).

Outstanding experience at Hotel Granvia Kyoto. Staying here made our Kyoto trip effortless, especially with the hotel located right above Kyoto Station. Trains, buses and shopping are just steps away, which saved us so much time and energy.
The hospitality was excellent. The staff were polite, attentive and very efficient, making us feel welcomed immediately. Check in was smooth and the overall service throughout our stay was consistently professional. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of sightseeing.
This hotel combines prime location with refined service and comfort. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. Truly a five star experience.

We had an amazing stay at Westin Miyako, the staff is very pilote and helpfull, the room was spacious and the view was very nice. There is family mart located on site. We used the pool twice and it was very well maintained - the water temperature is perfect. I strongly recommend if travelling with kids as allows to relax after a busy day.

Hotel jest położony na uboczu, ale kursuje tam bezpłatny autobus wahadłowy. Należy jednak pamiętać o dostosowaniu się do rozkładu jazdy autobusu. Ostatni autobus z dworca do hotelu odjeżdża nieco wcześniej, więc trzeba zrezygnować z wieczornych planów i spakować sobie kolację. W pobliżu nie ma restauracji, a kolacja w hotelu jest niezwykle droga.
Przybywając do hotelu wieczorem, miałem ogromne szczęście, że dotarłem wcześnie, ponieważ widok z mojego pokoju był absolutnie oszałamiający. Przypadkiem zrobiłem zdjęcie pokoju i widoku, ale na zdjęciu był ktoś inny, więc go nie uwzględniłem. Podziwianie zachodu słońca i oceanu z mojego pokoju, podczas posiłku w sklepie spożywczym, było naprawdę relaksujące.
Pokój był dla mnie dość duży, a dwa pojedyncze łóżka były niesamowicie szerokie! To niezwykle wygodne dla osób, które potrzebują większego łóżka. Chociaż pokój był nieco starszy, widać było w nim kilka remontów i modernizacji. Pomieszczenia ogólnodostępne były bardzo czyste i nowoczesne.
Hotel oferuje również bezpłatny bar po południu i wieczorem, w którym można przygotować własne drinki. Dostępny jest również szeroki wybór przekąsek, które bardzo mi się podobały. Wieczór szybko minął mi na przekąskach, drinkach i rozmowach. To był dla mnie najbardziej satysfakcjonujący i zaskakujący pobyt po wielu podróżach do Japonii i pobytach w około dwudziestu hotelach.

Geweldig oude herberg van 100 jaar oud. Oude japanse charme. Ik had een kamer met prima ruimte en verlichting. Er was een ons/bad dat fantastisch was en de eigenaren waren hele lieve, gastvrije mensen. De locatie is dicht bij een busstop richting Ine, een grote supermarkt en de cable car naar het park.

I recently stayed at Rhino Hotel in Kyoto, and it was a pleasant experience overall! The hotel is conveniently located near Saiin Station, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet ambiance, which made for a restful stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also enjoyed the complimentary access to the fitness center and pool, which was a nice bonus.
However, the decor felt slightly dated, and the breakfast options could have been more varied. Despite these minor points, I would highly recommend Rhino Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay in Kyoto

Путешествие в данный Рёкан оказалось невероятно комфортным и аутентичным. Невероятный отзывчивый персонал, всегда придут на помощь, подскажут и направят. Отлично говорят по-английски, так что проблем с коммуникацией не возникло. Невероятная чистота. Онсен - выше всяких похвал, 45-минутная сессия исключительно для одного (в моем случае, в других - для гостей номеров). Словно побывал у бабушки в деревне. Кайсеки - просто закачаешься, после него будешь воротить нос от любых ”суши”. Очень понравилось, 13/10

GGuest UserLocated on the 2nd floor, accessible by elevator from the central square exit, this hotel is incredibly convenient. It exudes the charm of a classic, established hotel. For breakfast, there's Ogawa and Yakiniku Hiro right across the street. We also found the best value for money meal near Komero Park – picture 4 shows a meal that was only 5000+ yen! Kinkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-dera are definitely worth visiting, and the Biwako Valley ski resort was stunning. The aquarium is good too. Kyoto is a city you can easily spend 3 days exploring.

IIRADAThough the hotel itself is good (I’m staying here for a second time), this time the service was awful.1) went to breakfast, me and my friend ordered 2 dishes, when in 20 mins time there still was nothing, we reminded a waitress of our order… another 20 mins - still nothing. All in all we spent 40 mins at the breakfast restaurant and didn’t get our food. When we explained this to the hostess she just said “sorry” and we left the restaurant hungry. 2) ordered afternoon tea for 3 persons (afternoon tea is served at another restaurant at the hotel). 2 normal sets and 1 for a person who doesn’t like dairy products. That person is me. I explained that I have no allergy, I just don’t like the taste of milk, cheese, et cetera. So I’m fine with bread and with sweets, just not the ones that have cheese on top. In the end instead of the sweets they brought me a fruit platter (that’s all, my friends got a lot of different sweets), when I again explained to the hostess that I’m fine with sweets (sweet bread) and would like to eat the sweets included in the afternoon tea set she just said that they “prepared smth else” for me (she meant the fruit platter). No apology no anything. Mind you, I ordered afternoon tea last year at this same place - everything was alright! As this is a 5 star hotel and everything here is rather expensive (including breakfast and afternoon tea) this is unacceptable level if service.

I came here again after many years and felt that the overall service and the quality of the food in the hotel were much worse. In particular, the service may be understaffed during the peak season, but it is indeed a very good hotel. WWanglunhuiThis is a long-established hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, the city's main transportation hub. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of light. For breakfast, you have a choice of two restaurants: one is a rotating restaurant on a high floor with great views, offering a set menu. The other is a buffet on the first floor with a very rich selection. The downsides are the lack of laundry facilities, the bathroom isn't wet/dry separated, and the room lighting is a bit dim.

The hot spring baths are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast is abundant (especially the freshly baked French croissants, served warm, which I paired with red bean paste and cheese – absolutely heavenly, I had three and still wanted more!). The polite service from the staff was truly delightful. Most of the guests were ********* tour groups and Japanese independent travelers. If you're visiting Miyazu, this is definitely the onsen hotel to choose; it's an unparalleled option for great value for money.

Perhaps because it was the off-season, the entire hotel felt very quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff at reception were all very welcoming, and their attention to detail was excellent. Breakfast was relatively average, nothing special but perfectly adequate. The hot springs were quite comfortable, and not crowded at all. There are both indoor and outdoor options, and soaking in the outdoor springs when there's a big temperature difference is really pleasant. The only downside was that after a day of activities, I wanted to take a bath, but found a very noticeable hair from a previous guest in the bathtub that hadn't been cleaned. I contacted the front desk, and they sent someone up to clean it, which took about 20 minutes to resolve.

FFrankafuMy main goal for this Kyoto trip was to revisit Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari-taisha, and explore Kibune. So I chose to stay near Kawaramachi, and ended up picking this Hilton. The hotel is right by Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Tozai Line. I'd recommend using the Kawaramachi Plaza exit, as it's the only one with an escalator; if you use Exit 1, you'll have to carry your luggage yourself. Technically, you can't see Honno-ji Temple's graveyard from the hotel, but it is close to the road and can be a bit noisy at night. In the mornings, there are fewer motorcycles, and Sundays are quiet – I even slept through breakfast one day! You can walk to Keihan Sanjo Station, enjoying the Kamo River along the way. If you prefer, it's also just one subway stop. It's not far to walk to Kawaramachi Shijo either, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. This time, I surprisingly opted for a breakfast and dinner package. The variety was better than at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo Premier, but they don't change their menus, so eating the same thing for three consecutive days can get a bit monotonous. As for a drawback, I'd suggest the hotel checks the elevator buttons – the static electricity is quite bad; I got shocked almost every time.
