„Located right in the heart of Wuzhou near the river. This hotel was quite large with a beautiful and elegant lobby. The room was equally spacious and comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked well and the bed was quite comfortable as well. Overall an excellent value for a hotel to use as a base for exploring Wuzhou!”

„If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room”

„We love this hotel. It's perfectly located close to the river where a lot of people hang out during the evening and close to a lot of shops, a foodstreet and restaurants. The hotel has style. People are friendly and their breakfast is complete. Please know that the swimming pool isn't open till the 1st May. And a cosy family room is not big enough for three adults and a 15 year old, it doesn't have enough beds. So we bought an upgrade to get a huge family room with enough place to sleep and sit. We had a great stay!”

„Firstly, on our check-in, we were told we can upgrade to a Riverview room at a cost of around 100 RMB. after we agreed to upgrade and got up to our room. (Please see picture below)that was the river room. Nothing like a river view room that we have ever experienced.   When we called the manager to ask for the river room, we got upgraded to a higher floor( see the picture attached)  again not a river view room that we would ever called it.  Dinner.  We book our dinner in the Chinese restaurant Xianggong (香宫) not to mention their service was extremely slow. We waited for our noodle until the last course to be served like a hour. Please see the picture attach. This is the picture on the menu that  I was expecting please see picture attached that is the noodle that got served to me. a although I understand in some situation, the picture is just for reference, but I think at this case this is extremely misrepresented.  Another dish we orders “ wagyu beef with mushrooms. “ again we questioned this is hardly wagyu beef and please see the picture below. That’s the dish we got served, nothing like the picture again.  It was deeply disappointing experience, and we booked based on the Shangri -La name and our previous experiences.   Although  Shangri Guilin has his beautiful landscape and infrastructure, the service is clearly not a Shanghai standard.”

„Pokój, choć niezbyt duży, był przytulny. Projektor działał świetnie, a drzwi z funkcją wyciszenia były fantastyczne. Kołdra i poduszki były w porządku, pościel nie szeleściła przy każdym ruchu. Niektóre lustra bez oświetlenia mogłyby zostać ulepszone, bo trochę trudno było się w nich zobaczyć, hahaha. Śniadanie bardzo mi się podobało, wszystkie dania były świeże, zwłaszcza sałatka warzywna – moja ulubiona. Zupa ryżowa Luosifen z nóżkami kaczki też była dobra. Soki warzywne, takie jak marchewkowo-dyniowy, były bardzo zdrowe. Lokalizacja bez zarzutu, super wygodna. Obsługa była bardzo entuzjastyczna i pełna pozytywnej energii. Zawsze zatrzymuję się tutaj, gdy przyjeżdżam do Nanning.”

„Kiedy przyjechałem, byłem dość rozczarowany, że mój pokój wcale nie przypominał zdjęć na stronie. Jedyne, co mogę zasugerować, to jego aktualizacja, aby goście mieli odpowiednie oczekiwania... Nie mogłem jednak nie cieszyć się pobytem. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, hotel wydawał się wyjątkowo atrakcyjny cenowo, zrobiono mi pranie i miałem dostęp do skutera. W cenę wliczona była również kawa i herbata na śniadanie. Xiaoming to również fantastyczny i troskliwy gospodarz, który wydaje się dbać o wszystkich swoich gości.”

„As a huge hotel enthusiast who has stayed at numerous high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, this stay at Song Hotel was once again a pleasant surprise, exceeding my expectations. This surprise wasn't sudden; it accumulated little by little throughout the stay, transforming into a constant sense of awe and wonder. Initially, the hotel's color scheme seemed a bit odd, but I later learned it was the color of the sunset glow on the old buildings. This nostalgic and genuine warmth permeated every aspect of the hotel's service. Because the hotel was still in its soft opening phase, I was upgraded to a suite! I was overjoyed. 🛏️ Suite Experience Over 100 square meters. The suite included an indoor soaking tub and swimming pool. The color scheme was simple and elegant—a combination of off-white, light brown, and dark wood tones, instantly creating a relaxing atmosphere. The view from the window overlooked the Silver Beach! The room amenities were top-of-the-line, from bedding to toiletries, with attention to detail everywhere. 🍽️ Dining Stunning Completely unlike anything I'd expected from a third-tier city. The selection of breakfast items was simply unbelievable for a city like this. Makana Bakery, located in the bakery, offers locally inspired bread innovations—Guangxi Liubao Tea Croissant, Pandan Coconut Croissant, Lychee Sea Salt Croissant—bringing local flavors and French baking techniques together beautifully, rivaling boutique bakeries in first-tier cities. I tried the coffee shop, Chinese restaurant, and ice cream shop one by one, and each exceeded my expectations. The hotel dedicated significant space to local cultural exhibitions. As a keen citywalker, I was exhausted from exploring Beihai's old streets and various seaside areas, but surprisingly, the most insightful experience of the city came from the hotel's exhibition hall 🤣 The curation was excellent. The curatorial text and style were tasteful. It wasn't just a perfunctory display of folk customs, but a genuine exploration of the city's historical context and way of life—from maritime culture to the memories of the Tanka people, from the old street fabric to the evolution of contemporary Beihai. It was also a photogenic spot. Another feature of the hotel is the inclusion of a collection space showcasing several high-quality niche brands. From luxury lifestyle products to carefully selected souvenirs, everything was practical, stylish, and imbued with Beihai's essence. These brands offer excellent taste and value for money. Although I also visited other places and tried several hotels, I felt that this hotel was enough for my trip to Beihai. I could relax, enjoy the sea view, shop, and eat to my heart's content. Finally, let me talk about the service. It wasn't the professional hotel service I'd expected. Having stayed in top-tier hotels, I understand the natural and welcoming atmosphere of a butler. But perhaps because it had just opened, many people's eyes held a touch of naivety and unfamiliarity. They were cautious yet attentive, which was especially endearing. That simple, unfamiliar sincerity was touching. You could see their dedication. As a Ctrip Black Diamond member, I've stayed in countless great hotels. This is the first time I've written such a thoughtful review. Because this place is more than just a hotel; it allowed me to rediscover Beihai. It also solved the pain points of traveling in a third- or fourth-tier city regarding dining, service, and the aesthetics and practicality of souvenirs (and the value for money was excellent). This wasn't just a place to stay; it was a key to understanding Beihai and a haven for my short stay.”

„The hotel staff work with a very good attitude and are very attentive to us. The rooms are very new, clean, and well-equipped. The rooms are located so that you can walk to Elephant’s Nose Mountain. The scenery along the way is so beautiful that it‘s worth staying here.”

„Located opposite a pretty lake, nice for a walk, the hotel is good for leisure and business travellers. The rooms are large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Fortunately I was with my Chinese speaking partner otherwise check in may have been a longer process. The breakfast was also fine but more orientated to local audience - albeit there is bread, fruit, eggs. Coffee at breakfast is not so good.”
