This review is based on an off-season nightly rate of 3,000 RMB. **Pros:** Located directly in the desert, offering an escape from the tourist crowds. The hotel design and environment are impeccable. However, for a hotel at this price point, there are several significant issues: 1. **Shower Pressure:** The water pressure was insufficient for both the handheld and overhead showerheads. You could clearly see clogged nozzles, making it worse than a standard Atour hotel. 2. **Duvet Cover Odor:** Around 11 PM, as I was preparing to sleep, I noticed a faint but unpleasant odor emanating from the duvet, similar to the stale smell of a wet towel left overnight. I had the cleaning staff who came to change it confirm the smell. 3. **Check-in Process Not Smooth:** It had been raining heavily in the desert all day. After driving to the hotel and parking in front of the reception, we had to unload all our luggage, then drive the car out of the hotel gates ourselves to a nearby parking lot, and then walk back to reception. Although it wasn't far, doing this in the rain is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber (at the very least, they could offer valet parking). 4. **Unprofessional Photo Shoot:** The complimentary photo shoot required advance booking, and customer service strongly emphasized being punctual, warning that tardiness would affect other guests due to high demand. We arrived 5 minutes early, but ended up waiting 10 minutes before a novice photographer was dispatched. About an hour after the shoot, I received a call saying there was a memory card issue, and all the photos taken were lost, requiring a reshoot. Only then was an experienced photographer assigned. 5. **Stinginess at Yellow River Shuji:** My second night was spent at Yellow River Shuji, another hotel in the same group. The service attitude was good, but they were incredibly stingy. I accidentally left behind an original charger, and when the hotel staff mailed it back to me, it was sent **cash on delivery (COD)! COD!** Even Atour hotels don't send items COD, seriously. I know it was my own oversight, but for a hotel of this price, it's quite unbelievable. Tengol did send some goji berry eight-treasure tea as a parting gift, but I'm still incredibly disappointed.

This was my third visit to Tianmu Hot Spring in Manpu Town. We arrived at Manpu Town around 9:00 AM, booked a room after inquiring, and the staff were incredibly friendly, checking us in immediately. After dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to the hot springs. We played until noon, then had a buffet lunch upstairs. The prices were reasonable: 69 RMB for adults, 49 RMB for children (half price), and free for children under 1.2 meters. After lunch, we spent some time in the children's playroom, children's cinema, and sauna on the third floor. I fell asleep while watching a movie in the children's cinema, and the staff member Gao Binbin was especially kind, bringing us several towels to cover ourselves, worried we might get cold. After waking up, we went back to the hot springs for a while longer. We didn't return to our room until evening. The children were very happy. They didn't even get to see the outside shows. We'll definitely come back next time.

The rooms aren't cheap, but the facilities, perhaps due to the hotel's age, can't compare to other desert hotels in the same price range. Yet, the prices remain stubbornly high. Even the 'superior' cabins feel like nothing more than oversized shipping containers. What's more, the pricier and more '高级' (premium) cabins are actually more remote, which is completely counter-intuitive to other high-end hotels. Getting around is extremely inconvenient. Although supper is served until 11:30 PM, there's no transportation back to your room after 11 PM. It's incredibly frustrating; even in heavy rain, you have to walk back yourself. The hygiene is pretty average – lots of sand and tons of flies. The hotel's fame is the only thing it has going for it, but experiencing it firsthand quickly disillusions you. The staff seemed quite tired, so their attitude was understandably just okay. On top of that, the weather was bad, which also made for a very mediocre experience. If it rains, there are practically no activities available, so choose carefully. Its strengths are, firstly, the wide variety of food options, and secondly, the ability to go sandboarding right outside your door. However, if you're not planning to visit Shapotou, there's no need to come here. Plus, many other desert hotels now offer activities similar to those at Shapotou, so you don't even need to leave the hotel to enjoy them. The 'stars' (referring to some facility or feature, possibly the overall quality or rating) are a bit old, and getting in and out is also very inconvenient.

A very comfortable stay! The staff were very friendly and it was located in a wonderful part of town. The room itself was comfortable and clean. I especially loved the complimentary shampoo and conditioner; they were so refreshing! The breakfast was also very delicious with lots of great options and flexible seating. I would definitely stay here again.

This was the first time I'd encountered such a disappointing hotel experience on my Northwest Loop trip with friends! After driving from Zhongwei to the scenic area, we checked in late. The hotel customer service called beforehand to inform us that there would be renovations during the day and it might be noisy. Considering our early departure time the next day and the hotel's good reviews, we decided to stay without canceling. There were nine of us traveling together, with a lot of luggage. When we arrived at the hotel that evening, there was no reception or guidance at the door. We had to wander around with our suitcases for ages before finally finding the front desk. The lobby was dark and unfinished, which was already unpleasant. Only one staff member slowly processed our check-in. Because we needed to leave very early the next day and the hotel had limited rooms (we were probably a large group), we asked the staff member if they could arrange a simple meal for us before 8 am. They simply said they had regulations and couldn't provide it, without understanding our specific needs or situation. If it weren't so late, we would have canceled and rebooked immediately. Later, we got the manager's phone number, explained the situation, and the manager immediately said they could prepare a simple meal in advance. This wasn't about tourists being picky or the hotel not helping tourists; it was about the front desk not taking our feedback seriously at all. I strongly disagree with this. Check-in for 9 people took 20 minutes. The security guard went to great lengths to guide us to our rooms and carry our luggage. When we asked the front desk to leave our ID cards and issue room keys in advance, they ignored us, simply saying they were short-staffed! Whether your hotel has enough staff is your own problem, not a reason to delay your check-in. Their cold attitude and the dark lobby were truly frustrating. At the hotel I stayed at along the Hanzhong-Tianshui-Shuiwei Road, from entering the lobby to checking out, all the staff were warmly welcoming and proactively helpful. Visiting a carefully selected garden hotel in the provincial capital was a real eye-opener. What time is breakfast? Where do we eat? How do we connect to the Wi-Fi? How do we get to our rooms? The staff didn't offer a single helpful suggestion. Only the security guard repeatedly carried our luggage. When we called the front desk from our room, the phone was always busy. The feedback was that the service I received was not up to par with the hotel's standards. However, the security guard that night, the manager who called me that evening, and the restaurant staff and front desk manager were all proactive in providing service the next morning. Therefore, I hope that this elegant garden hotel can pay attention to the details of service. During my trip to Ningxia, I saw many beautiful sights and delicious foods, and also encountered many hotels with excellent service. I hope to find another hotel like this next time I come to Yinchuan.

The room was clean and sanitary. I stayed here for three days. Breakfast is also good. There are steamed cereals, Western pastries, cold dishes and hot dishes every day. They are very child-friendly and basically not spicy. Yogurt, pudding, milk, soy milk and porridge are available. Diagonally opposite the hotel is Xiangyang Street (BBQ Street). The hotel is also conveniently located to several attractions in the city. It only takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the Drum Tower and Gaomiao. There is a park behind Chairman Mao, and across the park is the Gaomiao. Zhongwei Museum is a 6-minute taxi ride away. The hotel staff are all warm and polite. I left my mobile phone charging cable behind when I left. The cleaning staff found it in time and the lady at the front desk picked it up for me and brought it back down. She also gave souvenirs to the children. I’m really happy! The child asked why he should stay at Guyu Jasmine Hotel next time he comes to Zhongwei.

The attention to detail was impressive, and the service was excellent and welcoming. The private hot spring bath in the room offered great privacy, allowing you to watch TV on a large screen while soaking. However, there was a problem with the bath's drainage, preventing it from filling with water. We had to call a repairman, who promptly arranged for us to use a separate private hot spring room downstairs. Although it involved some back and forth, it wasn't a major inconvenience. This was very commendable! The only downside was the weak water pressure from the showerhead, making it difficult to wash long hair. The most problematic aspect was the food. Previously, when I went to the hot spring buffet on weekends, the selection was always limited, with many items missing. During the Chinese New Year, it was even worse; the hotel was overwhelmed with customers. Their handling of peak season emergencies was very poor. Because the hot spring hotel is located in a relatively remote area, finding other food options is inconvenient. The hotel's inadequate food service is a major drawback. Then there's the breakfast, which is even more outrageous. Between 8:00 and 9:30, by 8:50, everything was gone. Only one egg remained, and the soy milk and milk were completely empty. Putting aside the taste, at least offer something for customers to eat, something to fill them up. Everything was gone. For a room rate of over 1000 yuan, this breakfast is truly indescribable. If it's a tourist visiting temporarily, they might not come back. Therefore, the hotel needs to improve its catering. Buffets are not cheap, and the ingredients need to be of high quality, especially during holidays like Chinese New Year. Knowing that guest numbers increase during this time, it's not worth it to let the catering fail to keep up with demand and negatively impact the overall experience.

The front desk lady is warm and patient, and can communicate and deal with problems in time, 100 points. The room infrastructure is complete, there are sofas, tables, comfortable and soft mattresses, and automatic curtains are closed. There is also a good viewing experience with a giant curtain.
