Hotele z: spa w Shanxi, China

Great location and they were all super nice. However the room was super hot and there is no AC. When we asked they brought up a portable unit but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep the room comfortable. If it’s winter it could be a great spot but definitely look elsewhere in the late spring and summer.

The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, answering all my questions. They even upgraded my room. The mattress was comfortable, and the two pillows, one firm and one soft, were also quite comfortable. The hotel's location is good, with many restaurants nearby and plenty of parking. The soundproofing in the room and hallway was decent. The only downside is the soundproofing of the windows. Near the Red Star Macalline shopping mall, taxis often wait for fares at night, honking their horns loudly when they need to enter or exit. The sound rises between the two buildings, and even with all the windows closed, the sound is as loud as if the windows were open, making life unbearable for residents on higher floors. I thought the higher floors, being away from the street, would be quiet, but the constant barrage of taxi honking, slamming car doors, loud noises, and rain is unbearable. I have to get up early to travel today... I barely slept a wink last night.

Dobry hotel może wiele dodać do Twojej podróży! Kiedy po raz pierwszy przybyłem do starożytnego miasta Pingyao, hotel wysłał samochód, aby odebrał mnie ze stacji. Kiedy przybyłem do hotelu, zostałem mile zaskoczony doskonałym połączeniem zabytkowego dziedzińca i nowoczesnych udogodnień wewnątrz hotelu. Wygodne łóżko, schludny pokój i spokojny sen sprawiły mi wielką przyjemność! Hotel polecił także najważniejsze miejsca warte zobaczenia w starożytnym mieście, a także dokładnie poinformował o trasach spacerowych i ofercie gastronomicznej miasta. Piękno podróży do starożytnego miasta Pingyao z pewnością będzie dla mnie niezapomniane. Śniadania w hotelu są pyszne, to specjalność Shanxi, a smażone paluszki z ciasta są niesamowite! Głęboko smażona wieprzowina smakuje tu lepiej niż w słynnych restauracjach na ulicy. Na drugim piętrze znajduje się kawiarnia, która współpracuje ze Starbucksem. Można w niej napić się pysznej kawy i podziwiać piękny wystrój. Warto dać kciuka w górę! Następnym razem na pewno tu wrócę.

Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

Comfortable hotel in a refurbished old castle on top of a hill. Comes with an onsen, including outdoor onsens. However, location was a bit inaccessible with no amenities nearby so taking a cab to the city was essential for food and groceries. Staff were also curt and not very friendly.

Very comfortable stay. Hotel is older but in excellent condition with very comfortable quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was excellent with extensive Chinese and western options and even espresso coffee made to order. There was a bit of smoke smell in the corridor at times but none in the rooms and everything was very clean. Hotel was well located in the old town and close to the impressive nine dragon screen. We’d happily stay again

The hotel was well located. The room exactly like it was described online. We reserved two rooms without windows for one day it was cost efficient! Unfortunately I could not reserve directly 4 breakfast online only two (one per room), we have to pay directly at breakfast for the two others one. We stop at Datong to visited one of UNESCO site and see the all Datong city. We thought more foreigners will visit this beautiful small city. No one speaks English (and that’s ok) but for a 4 stars hotel the front desk lady looks a bit lost with the check in procedure for foreigners (and I work in a 5 stars hotel in beijing so I know the procedure as a French working in China). Also, the isolation is bad, the front desk already inform us upon check in but we did not thought we will heard even the other room bathrooms flush. Thank you for this night your hotel is beautiful

The hotel was famous and adjacent to a tourist attraction. The service was nice, except for a young male driver (for the commuting car that connected the hotel's buildings and the tourist attraction's gate), who seemed a bit reluctant or tired at work and lacked communication skills or etiquette (since the hotel claimed itself to be a five star hotel, it is not uncommon for guests to have higher expectations than elsewhere). It is said that the hotel was built in the 1950s. Thus, it was not surprising that many facilities seemed relatively old, especially when compared with newer hotels. Overall, the hotel could be a good choice.

This is a big hotel in a good location ( walking distance to the ancient town) with spacious room , clean and comfortable beds. However, there are no fridge, nor save box in the room; kettle, tea, coffee provided. Love breakfast with a variety of choice, both western and Asian styles, especially the dinner buffet (158 yuan) is amazing; well done chefs! We love a lot of things about this hotel apart from the “shower tickets”; this should be clarified in the hotel’s policy that this ticket is just a discount coupon for using Spa. We thought this is for swimming pool. Overall, we had a good time at the hotel and lucky to visit the Buddha caves and the flying temple in one day. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller in Datong.

2025년에 새로 오픈한 곳입니다.호텔 건물은 3층, 온천 건물도 3층으로 구성되어 있어요.호텔 2층은 SPA 마사지 공간, 3층은 객실과 야외 온천이 있고,온천 건물은 1층에 온천 수영장, 2층에 찜질방, 식당, 놀이시설이 마련되어 있습니다.오후에 호텔에 도착해 체크인을 마친 뒤, 먼저 객실에서 잠시 쉬었습니다.숙박에는 온천 입장권이 포함되어 있어요.온천은 다른 건물에 있지만 거리가 매우 가까워 이동이 불편하지 않습니다.입장권을 수령한 후 온천 건물로 들어갈 수 있고,온천 시설은 아이들을 위한 공간도 잘 갖춰져 있으며 규모가 크고 매우 깨끗합니다.실내·야외 온천이 모두 있고, 전체적인 환경도 정말 훌륭해요.온천을 즐긴 후 식사를 하고 잠시 쉬다가 다시 식당 과일도 먹으면서, 아주 여유롭고 편안한 밤을 보냈습니다. 다음 날 아침 식사 후에는 전날 예약해 두었던 호텔 SPA에 다녀왔습니다.이곳 가성비가 뛰어나고, 무엇보다도 아름다운 풍경을 감상하며 마사지를 받을 수 있다는 점이 가장 큰 매력이었습니다.
